We were made very welcome from the moment we arrived. There was someone at the desk 24 hours a day to let us into the hotel. Our room was very spacious, it had a table and desk in the main part; the cupboard divided the room and provided the back for the luxurious and comfortable bed; there was additional shelving and seating on the wall behind the wardrobe, which we used to store our empty suitcase as there was ample room to unpack both suitcases. There was a safe in the room. Breakfast was on the rooftop looking up at the Acropolis and Parthenon. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. We spent a night here before travelling to Greek Islands for 2 weeks. We were able to leave two suitcases safely locked away until our return visit of four nights. The location was fantastic. We were right at the entrance to the Acropolis Metro Station, 5 minutes from the Acropolis, a couple of minutes from the Acropolis Museum (a must see for every visitor to Athens), 5 minutes to the shopping strip and Plaka etc. The location couldn't have been better. Despite being a block behind the restaurants and shops there was absolutely no noise in our room. The windows were double glazed and any time we spent in our room was restful and undisturbed. As our plane wasn't leaving until 11pm, we requested a late checkout and we were told we could stay as late as we like. When I asked how much it was, the lovely owner's response was nothing. As the room hadn't been booked for the following day, she was happy for us to stay. Given the weather was in the high 30s it was great to have a refuge from the heat and to be able to shower before we left for the airport at 7pm. I would highly recommend AD Athens Luxury Rooms & Suites. The personal approach made us feel like welcome guests, the location was fantastic, the hotel was spotlessly clean and exceptional value for money.
We loved everything, the exceptionally friendly owner, her well trained and accommodating staff, the spacious, quiet and clean rooms, pleasant lounge downstairs, healthy and hearty breakfasts and the unbeatable breakfast views of the Acropolis and Parthenon

This hotel has an incredible view of the acropolis on the L6 roof top which is always open and is where breakfast is served. The rooms are comfortable and clean, house keeping every day with fresh towels is fantastic, they also change the shower curtain everyday so the hygiene is impeccable. The location is next to none, right next to the acropolis metro station and the acropolis museum, and the gate to the south slope of the acropolis is footsteps away as well. Plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars in tbe area, only a short walk to Monastiraki. There are many hotels in the area however this one stands out due to its incredible value for money, great staff and location.
Couldn't say anything negative about this hotel, it was fantastic in every regard.

Fantastic room (room 501) with balcony (with a view of Acropolis). Very clean, spacious, comfortable room with modern fittings and facilities. Breakfast was very good (note: continental style, no hot food), including barista coffee. Staff were very helpful, friendly and professional. Great location for sightseeing.
Room 501 is directly below the breakfast room. This meant that we could hear them setting up breakfast every morning from about 6am, and customers having breakfast from 7/7.30am - either chairs/furniture scraping on the floor directly above our bed, or crockery/cutlery stacking and voices echoing down the stairwell from the 6th floor to our corridor. Fine if you're an early riser, or a heavy sleeper, or can get back to sleep quickly once disturbed. But it you're a light sleeper, you'll find it a problem. It's a shame, because the room is otherwise fantastic.

The location of the hotel is amazing. Close to many places of interest, it is right across from the Acropolis museum. The metro station is a few steps outside the door. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the beds are comfortable. We also liked the breakfast and quality coffee on the hotel's top floor/ terrace, which had an amazing view of the Acropolis. The staff was very nice, helpful and accommodating. I would be happy to stay there again in the future.
In one of our rooms on the first floor there was some bad smell coming from the sewage. It is a known problem in Athens. A hot kettle for some tea in the rooms would have been nice.

This is my new favorite hotel in Athens! I loved the location- it is close enough to walk anywhere I want to go, including Ermou street, Monistraki and Syntagma, but far enough away from those places to be away from the noise. The area is very safe and on a quiet street that is steps away from the Acropolis and Acropolis museum. We had 3 rooms, two twin rooms and one junior suite with terrace. All the rooms are very clean and updated with modern bathrooms. The showers were amazing! The junior suite with terrace was very spacious and comfortable and had a view of the Acropolis! The rooftop for breakfast is lovely with a la carte items and coffee options. Overall a wonderful stay and I will return any time I'm in Athens.
The only issue we had with our stay was the air conditioner in one of our rooms which was on the first floor. It would never cool the room, unlike the other two rooms on the 3rd and 5th floor so there was obviously an issue with the unit. We did mention to the front desk however we weren't there long enough to notice a difference. A repair probably needs to be made. The other two rooms stayed nice and cool, so I would not let it deter me from returning.

The location is excellent - less than 1 minute from the Akropoli metro but still in a quiet road and easy walking distance of Plaka and many good restaurants. The Parthenon view from the breakfast terrace was lovely every morning, and the continental breakfast itself was tasty. The staff were very friendly & helpful and spoke English. The double bed was large and comfy and the room was very clean and modern.
We were in the Acropolis view room. Our 9yr old son slept on an Ikea sofa bed / futon which was very uncomfortable. The top 1/3rd, nearest the head of the futon was hard and the bottom 2/3rds were soft. It really needs an extra matress put on top of the base so it is the same firmness throughout. Luckily he was small enough to sleep at an angle curled up on the bottom 2/3 of the bed, but anyone taller would really struggle to get a good night's sleep on it. There were no lights on the landing, and the door to our room was tucked around the corner, so it wasn't easy to see where the door keyhole was when returning to our room at night.

If you're planning to consume two days near the Acropolis--one for the Acropolis itself and its surroundings and part of another to see the Archaelogical Museum, then this hotel is perfectly located. You can walk to those places in a few minutes. The outdoor breakfast has a good view of the Parthenon. The metro is nearby and, because the hotel is almost at the end of a street that deadends into a promenade leading toward the Acropolis sites, there is almost on car traffic, just some motorbikes that were generally quiet. The breakfast was excellent, the best of our one-week trip.
Unsafe flooring design, at least in our room for 3 persons just above the ground floor. The flooring under the bedding area was elevated by about 9 inches relative to the entry way and area of the bathroom, and the transition down to that lower level consisted of two angled steps, the second of which had no marking or colors to indicate the transition. To avoid tripping, especially at night, we had to place obstacles in the step area, so that we would bump into those first rather than falling down. The whole problem could be readily avoided by applying two strips of reflective tape.

The rooftop of this hotel was right behind the Acropolis. Fantastic views daytime and nighttime. The staff was very nice. We arrived early and they did their best and we were able to settle a little early before our tour guide picked us up. The hotel is updated and the rooms were comfortable and clean. Refrigerator in room as well. The location was awesome. We were literally in the middle of great restaurants and shopping.
The reception area was deceiving. There were 3 couches which weren’t the same color and a lot of stuff in the reception area. Think home living room and not Marriott reception area. The area driving up to the hotel had a lot of back alleys as well. But the stay was great and it turns out we were right in the heart of restaurants and shopping. The hotel officiant also had a dog right behind his desk which I am also not used to in a hotel reception setting. It threw me off a bit but the stay was so perfect it was easy to overlook.

The location was perfect. The room was comfortable and with more room than I expected. The breakfast room was beautiful with a great view of the Acropolis. The staff was very friendly and helpful in providing directions.
As an American, the food selection at breakfast wasn't appealing. As a rule, we don't eat cold meat or boiled eggs for breakfast. The pastries were good, but I would have preferred something more substantial, bacon or scrambled eggs.

the location is PERFECT for seeing many of the main sights, and right across the street from the wonderful Parthenon Museum. right around the corner are many restaurants to choose from, and just down the block is a nice grocery store. the staff were all extremely accommodating and courteous. the breakfast was on the roof with a beautiful view of the acropolis and an excellent cold buffet.
while the hotel's name includes the word "luxury", I think a better description is an extremely pleasant and comfortable place to stay.
