We enjoyed staying two days in Frikes to see things on this side of the island. The room was as I would expect, nothing fancy but totally comfortable. We didn't use the pool and didn't want to - I love the sea but it looked great. We stayed here because it was the only thing available last minute. We didn't buy the breakfast so can't comment. The town is tiny but we enjoyed the restaurants, the coves up the road to swim, nice staff!

If you don't close the windows/doors, the motorbike noise is crazy loud. But when they're closed it was great!

Pretty location and close to the sea and port. The hotel was attractive and had a lovely pool. We enjoyed a very good buffet breakfast with plenty of choice and drinks on the terrace. Our room, was pretty had everything we needed and had great views. We loved the quiet and simplicity and authentic feel of Frikes. We loved wandering down to the seafront and eating next to the water. There was also a great pebbly beach with shade we could walk to where the sea was fabulous. Also we could catch a ferry from there back to Fiskardo in Kefalonia.

There was no local transport and as we hadn't hired a car we had to catch a taxi everywhere. Not silly prices, but we did have problems getting back from a night out in a seaside town about 30 mins away.

Everything about the hotel was great and it looked very authentic and pretty. I particularly loved the pool and the location - just a stroll away from Frikes in a lovely valley surrounded by wooded hills. This is a place to re-charge your batteries. There was a beautiful little pebble beach a short wander out of Frikes where the sea was so clear if you wanted to swim in the sea.

Not having a car for the few days we were there meant we had to catch taxis to go anywhere other than Frikes.

Price higher than similar though to be fair the cheaper properties were in more built up areas where there’s more competition and this area is particularly stunning and quaint. That’s how economics works but throwing in some tea and coffee in the room would be a meaningful treat to help counter the cost v experience as no accommodations seem to do this in the Ionian.

The location is excellent. The nearby port is lovely. There are also parking facilities at the hotel, which is very convenient. The room was clean and hotel staff was polite and helpful. Facilities slightly old fashioned but who cares. Room prices are a bit high but this is something that characterises the island in general.

This is the perfect example of Greek hospitality. We stayed for a week and enjoyed everything about it. Excellent room, pool area, food, drinks. Spotless clean and quiet! Nicki was very helpful in organising transport too.

Lovely, quiet location - walking distance to Frikes and Stavros. Great pool. Comfy beds. Everything is spotless. Room with nice balcony and view to the sea and surrounds. Staff helpful. Ample parking.

Decor a little dated. Shower is compact (typical Greek size to be fair!).

We adored this hotel. It was perfect for my friend and I, who stayed two weeks. Comfortable beds, a great shower and mini fridge! It was a great location for us by Frikes, and the pool bar and its food were wonderful. The hotel was impeccably clean and everyone was very friendly too. We would love to return and stay again.

We loved this family run, traditional Greek hotel, makes such a change from other large hotels. It was very comfortable, lovely and clean, we had clean towels and sheets every other day, breakfast was a good range, staff were helpful. Nicky booked our transfer taxis for us and gave us information on the island which was helpful. The pool was clean and well run although we only used it twice. The location is excellent, we didn’t hire a car and walked to a few of the surrounding villages and beaches. It was the perfect relaxing stay for us, fantastic location and just what we wanted.
