It is hard to describe the Perantzada experience: simply extraordinary! Lovely mansion art-boutique hotel, centrally positioned at heart of Vathy port. Quaity of service unique. What is standing out the most is the personnel. We felt we belong there. Remarkable professionalism, kindness, going the extra mile to guarantee a joyful trip and even… when things go south to rescue your plans by all means! Antonis and Katerina rock! We will be back!

Situated in a perfect spot to oversee Vathi, close to the restaurants and bars but away from the noise. The room was spacious, clean and with an amazing view. The staff really made a difference. Antonis was always there to help with whatever we needed while the suggestions from Katerina on the places to visit, where to swim and eat were spot on and elevated the experience of visiting Ithaca.

Perantzada Hotel is a fantastic place to stay - the views from the pool are supurb! It’s centrally located, making it easy to explore the town by foot (like 5 mins walk) and the rooms are clean and beautifully designed. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant experience. Highly recommended!

The Wi-Fi connection could have been stronger, as it was a bit spotty at times. Other than that, everything else was great! Not a downside but if you don't want to spend a fortune on taxis (we did as Ithaca is very hilly and it's nearly impossible to walk to nearby beaches), definitely hire a car or bike to get around!

We knew exactly what to expect having stayed at the Perantzada last year and weren’t disappointed. We had a really warm welcome from Antonio and Katrina who made us feel as if we were coming home and willingly dealt with any requests. The views are amazing and location perfect, close to the restaurants and shops yet very quiet. The breakfasts were delicious and we were very sorry to have to leave after 4 nights. We hope to return again next year.

No handrail on steps to the street with could be an issue for anyone with mobility problems. No working wifi in bedroom.

The property is beautiful and we had a stunning room with sea view. Breakfast by the pool every morning was a delight and the choice of fruits and pastries, fresh juice, coffee and cooked food was delicious. But most of all Antonio and Katerina were the most wonderful hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. They had restaurant suggestions, gave us a gift for our anniversary, brought an ice cream when we were by the pool and greeted us with smiles and warmth whenever we encountered them. The housekeeping staff were very efficient and it is a joy to have a clean room with fresh towels every day.

The location was fantastic overlooking the bay at Vathi. The staff made us feel very welcome. The breakfasts were wonderful the best on our three week holiday. The pool area was lovely. our terrace was perfect for sitting enjoying the view in the evening with an ouzo or two!

The bathroom was in need of refurbishment the basin was cracked and the shower door hinges were rusting. There were a lot of mosquitoes and small flies in the bathroom which we found disappointing and irritating. On our last night a mosquito insect repellant device was left in our bedroom!

The pool and pool area are smallish but in no way does it feel cramped and the view is fabulous. Comfy sun loungers and they provide pool towels. Also provide beach towels. The lounge/breakfast area are very comfortable. Breakfast itself is of a very good quality with lots to choose from. Great staff. They cannot do enough for you. Very friendly, polite, helpful and approachable.

We booked a Classic Superior Room well in advance and chose it from the photos that were on all of the websites. The room we got when we arrived wasn’t the one that was shown on the website and we were really disappointed in the room that we were allocated. It had a very small terrace in front of it with a good view but there was no privacy at all as the walkway to the pool and restaurant went right in front of it. There was also a communal lounge area outside of it and directly under our bedroom window. We did ask to move rooms but this was not possible. For the price we paid we were left underwhelmed at our room allocation and outside seating area. We like to sit outside our room in comfort and privacy…this just didn’t live up to our expectations!

The Perantzada was everything we expected. We were greeted with a complimentary drink at the pool on check-in which gave us a chance to catch our breath and admire the view over Vathy Harbour. We were allocated the "Red Passion" room which was on the Reception floor, so only involved climbing one flight of stairs (17 steps) from the street. It has a quirky little balcony which is accessed through the window, and which affords partial views of the town and harbour. The bathroom is adequately sized and the shower is wonderful - the complimentary toiletries (Korres) are the best I have ever come across in any hotel and I look forward to purchasing some on my next visit to Greece. Breakfast, which is served in the new part of the building next to the pool, is varied and substantial, including cereals, fresh fruit, Greek yogurt, scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon, and Greek sweets, cakes and pies. The very friendly and helpful staff are also happy to cook fried and poached eggs, or omelettes if preferred. The hotel is located a very easy, pleasant five minute walk from the town centre, where you can find a good number of restaurants and cafeterias.

We found it challenging to get to the hotel in the car, as the streets in the area are narrow and we weren't sure if we were heading in the right direction in the one way system. I ended up walking to the door where I was reassured by the staff that we could drive on, so we offloaded the luggage which was taken up by the staff while we found a parking space one street away on the harbour, about one minute's walk away.

Wonderfully quirky hotel. Staff really went above and beyond to be helpful and informative. The breakfasts are delicious and the views over the pool and harbour beautiful.

Name of the hotel could be better displayed, took an age to find! Our room, the pink room, was a bit cramped and our seating area outside was on the walkway to the pool, but we met some really interesting fellow travellers sitting on the more comfortable chairs in the communal space below our room.
