Very nice hotel, great pool, everything you needed for a relaxing family holiday. The spa was a great addition to be taken advantage of, food great, lots to explore within walking distance. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and really made the stay all that much more enjoyable.

The only issues I encountered were with our room. The jets in the private pool didn’t work, the jets in the bath didn’t work, the table on the patio had no top. When we raised this they did make calls but it wasn’t fixed before we left, and no compensation was offered. Everything else about our stay was so great I didn’t feel I wanted to pursue it.

Great hotel, friendly staff, close to the main town, sea and port. We booked this hotel as we were going to Ithaca, and wanted to stay close to the port for our ferry. The hotel is easy to find, has a nice pool/bar area and is close to the sea. Also, around a 10 min walk to many local restaurants, cafes and bars, 2 min walk to the seafront. Staff were very friendly, rooms were spacious, beds comfortable, and good to have a balcony for the pool/sea views. Thanks!

Stayed here for 5 nights in July with family. Beautiful , well kept hotel. Clean, super friendly staff. Pool and pool bar are great. Central Location of hotel in Sami/karamolyvos is close to almost everything on the island. Grounds and rooms are meticulously maintained. Didn't get a chance to eat dinner in the hotel as we were always out, but the breakfast and pool menu were really good. Highly recommended

Small beach area , but better than not having a beach

The hotel is very well located with a small beach just in front with sunbeds and umbrellas. The staff is helpful and the breakfast is very nice. Walking distance to Sami port by the see. Beach towels available. Rooms are well isolated, without noise.

The rooms were very clean, and each day, beds and towels were changed, as well the shampoo/conditioner/shower gel was replaced. However, the bathroom has a shower cabinet that was not properly cleaned with mold in the corners (something that can be quickly fixed with bleach). It could improve with a proper blackout for the windows.

The Ionian Emerald Resort was an incredible property that helped make our visit to Greece one of the best holidays we have experienced. The staff were welcoming, friendly and very accommodating throughout. They assisted with travel bookings and other requests and always had time no matter how small the inquiries were. The room was spacious and cleaned daily and the facilities were kept to a very high standard. The location of the resort looks over a beautiful ocean view with the beach just outside of the property. We could not recommend this property enough.

Lovely modern and clean room. Towels were changed daily to my surprise and beds made. The pool was great, plenty of beds around although I did go at the end of August so perhaps less busy than at it’s peak. Kid friendly. The bar by the pool was great and had good food options. The Cocktails 🍹 were delicious. Very happy with the buffet breakfast, had a variety of milk to choose from, lots of hot and cold options, fresh fruits and nuts, cereals and even the odd cake. Was a 20 minute walk along the beach front to get to Sami, which was pleasant. There is a mini mart opposite. Walkable to Lake Melissani, about 10-15 mins. For this side of the island it’s a convenient hotel for sure. Hotel reception were lovely. Was about 45 mins to/from the airport via taxi and cost €60.

Feel like the rooms might need some maintenance, our shower head bar was loose so could’ve done with being fixed, also there was a leak under the bath which caused a bit of a flood after showering. The gym showers only ran cold 🥶 Would be nice if the hotel sold ice creams at the bar (although know they did offer ice cream bowls). Minor things which didn’t dampen my experience in the slightest.

lovely location stunning

didn’t like the fact that the 3 star up the road was allowed to use all the facilities at out 5 star resort. that part of my stay was really poor I hope it stops doing that because it might turn me off from staying there again very very poor.

Our 2nd time at Ionian Emerald. Love the location, from here you can easily take daytrips to beaches, other villages or rent a boat. And take a short walk along the coast to Sami. The staff are friendly, fast and always smiling. Perfect rooms and excellent food. Try the lobster pasta! And the orange cake! We will come back next year :)

Love that beachtowels are included, but an improvement could be to have them available earlier, sometimes they are not available until just before 10, which is a bit late if you want to catch the calm morning sea.

Loved the location, great pool and friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were cleaned, great view over Sami Bay and bonus that laundry is free of charge.

The AC in our didn’t seem to work properly, wasn’t an issue with the door open in the evening (which has a gauze cover).
