Where do you start? Friendly, laid-back staff; clean, airy rooms (with welcome a/c, functional basic cooking facilities and a decent fridge); lovely balcony with an equally lovely view. You’ll want to use that well-maintained and joyfully cool pool most days. Sami is a great base to explore Kefelonia. The town itself is less ‘upscale’ than other places on the island, but it still boasts some great restaurants (plus Willy’s cocktail bar!). You can, however get to Argostoli (+airport), Fiskardo, Asos, and a host of other spots inside an hour. There’s also regular (and reasonably priced) ferries to Ithaca which you really should check out.

Nothing to report. Do be aware that there are stairs to climb for some of the apartments and it will take you around 15 minutes to stroll into Sami (via a well-lit back road that avoids incoming traffic) Cat lovers will feel particularly at home as there’s a veritable tribe (herd? pride?) of our feline friends in residence. Goat and sheep enthusiasts will also feel at home- their bells will lull you to sleep. If you’re 24 hour party people, this laid back, family-friendly hotel may not be for you (and Sami itself is no clubber’s paradise), but for anybody else- don’t hesitate: book!

Such a lovely little spot, maybe a little updating in the bathroom would be enhance it, but to be fair what was there worked and did the job, absolutely more than adequate. I fell in Love with the kittens and brought our meat scraps from dinner for them daily. Pool was delightful and all super clean and tidy. A lot of work and pride taken. I 15/20 minute walk to Sami town which is down the very quiet (mainly unused) road that the accommodation is on. Lovely little place with a super port with lovely yachts.

A very quiet area and respectful accommodation. The owners were on hand and worked very hard to keep the premises spotlessly clean and tidy. The studio room was excellent with basic food preparation possible - kettle and 2 hob cooking facility and all necessary cutlery and utensils and fridge with bottle of water and a welcome bowl of French toast and jam, tea and coffee sachets. Bed was very comfortable and there was storage space. Outside balcony area was perfect - view was beautiful. Table and 2 chairs for use and washing line with pegs. Pool area was spotless with plenty of sun loungers and several umbrellas. The surrounding borders along the paths were beautifully looked after with lush planting and the owner keeps a vegetable and fruit garden, beautifully looked after. You could walk down to the beach via the back roads or along the road into Sami - probably about 10 minutes. Thank-you - a lovely stay and sorry to leave.

This property is in an excellent location just a 15-20 minute stroll to the marina with lots of bars and restaurants. We went with family and occupied 3 separate apartments here and all of them met our needs. One of the apartments had been renovated and was very nice and updated. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We didn’t need much but when we asked on a couple of occasions for different things nothing was too much trouble. They empty the bins everyday and tidied and thoroughly cleaned halfway through our stay. The apartment was basic but that is reflected in the price but the rooms were large, comfortable and clean and we had a lovely balcony looking over the pool.

You wouldn’t be able to cook in the apartment we were staying in as the kitchen was just too small that didn’t bother us in the slightest as we intended to eat out but if we stayed longer than a week we might want to do breakfast or lunch. The pool was also quite deep I don’t think it would be suitable for very young children who were non swimmers. The youngster in our party was 5 and could just about touch the bottom of the pool.

We had a brilliant time at Nikos Apartments. Our room looked to have been freshly repainted. It was very comfortable and exactly as advertised. The family running the apartments were lovely, kept the whole place spotless, and were generally unobtrusive. Best of all for us was the views which were spectacular from our second floor balcony looking out to sea and even on the other side coming out of the front door of the verdant valley. The walk down to the Marina is an easy stroll of around fifteen minutes with the bonus of meeting some of the local sheep, goats, and chickens. Thoroughly recommend the Nikos Apartments.

No, nothing. We loved our stay.

The property is in a lovely peaceful rural location but only about 15 minutes walk from the seafront where the shops, bars and tavernas are. We had a two bedroom apartment which was very clean and comfortable. Air conditioning was available at no extra cost, but we didn’t use it as we like to sleep with the doors open listening to the cicadas and goat bells. The towels were changed regularly and the washing machine was very useful. Lovely pool area with plenty of sun loungers which we used a lot. This is the Greece I remember of 40 years ago….a nice friendly family hotel in a traditional Greek village. Perfect.

Some cold drinks available by the pool would be a nice addition.

The apartment was in a quiet location, situated on the outskirts of Sami. It was very clean and looked as if it had been recently updated. The view from the balcony was over the well tended vegetable garden , pool and farmland out towards the sea. The hosts were very helpful if needed. It was so peaceful. The apartment had all the facilities you needed. On arrival we had a welcome pack which was a lovely touch. We would definitely consider returning. We hired a car and found the nearby beach of Antisamos which was amazing - great facilities and clear blue water. The town of Sami was also lovely, with a number of great tavernas.

Ten minute walk away from Sami harbour down a little country lane, basic but good room, the beautiful kittens that have taken up residence at the place and are so lovely and friendly !!! Parking space , pool was a lovely addition although we didn’t utilise it . Gorgeous lime and pomegranate trees and lovely views. Feels like you are away from everything even though you are so close to Sami. Everything was clean and tidy . Great to have a fridge and enough facilities to make food if you wanted to. Bed was comfy , good shutters and air con.

The shower cubicle was broken, too small and needs replacing ideally. Ceiling fan was a bit noisy and hairdryer needs updating as it wasn’t powerful at all! If you don’t like cats or are allergic probably not the best place to stay as they are everywhere. (Although they are soooo cute and so friendly )

The hosts, especially the daughters, are super friendly, super helpful and very genuine. They really are a plus to an otherwise nice & comfortable 3-star Greek experience on the beautiful island of Kefalonia. Special as well is the lovely foliage, greenery and pool area, which is well maintained and cleaned every day. The included airconditioning is very modern and welcome in the hot summer.

There was very little to dislike. Our stay was very nice. If you are however keen on a modern bathroom, instead of on an authentic Greek one, then this place does not come with a modern one. However, I would then also advise you to look for 4-star options instead of 3-star options in Kefalonia. Lastly, the parents don’t speak English that well. So without the daughters present, you need to translate a little bit more to Greek, which shouldn’t be an issue for anyone with a phone.

It was set in beautiful gardens with a lovely pool. The rooms were clean, bright and well-equipped. The staff - especially Fotini - went out of their way to help and assist us, organising taxis and a room to change before our airport trip after we had checked out.

There’s nothing not to like. We had a lovely stay. My only suggestion would be to set up a small bar or shop to buy a beer or pint of milk - even an honesty bar based around a fridge would be good. It’s a really small point though.
