Having only a two night trip to Kefalonia we chose to stay right in the centre of Argostoli, although I was concerned that this might be noisy. I need not have worried as the location of the Mouikis was absolutely perfect! The hotel is smartly presented and we were welcomed by Elaine(?) who proved to be charming and most helpful throughout our stay. we arrived before check-in time but as our room was nearly ready, we didn't have to wait long to be allowed in early. We had booked a seaview room and we were not disappointed. The room was spotlessly clean and opened out onto a balcony which looked across the road to the amazing view of the water, yachts and the land beyond. The bed was very comfortable and the room quiet at night with no traffic noise at all. Breakfast was self-service buffet style with just a couple of cooked items, but there was enough selection of other items to start the day. As I said, the location is absolutely fantastic as it is within a couple of minute's walk to the waterfront where it was possible to see the turtles feeding around the fishing boats every morning. It is also close to a nice traffic-free shopping area, huge amount of restaurants and a short walk to the bus station for trips to other parts of the island. I would definitely recommend this hotel for its location, staff and cleanliness. We wish that we had spent more of our holiday in Kefalonia rather than Zakynthos!

If I am to be picky, the only thing I would say is that there wouldn't have been much storage space for a stay of several days as there was one small wardrobe with half of it taken up with spare bedding and just a couple of drawers, Also the shower was ok for us but it was quite a small corner unit. Don't expect a huge cooked selection at breakfast.

The location was excellent, the room was impeccably clean, and the staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was okay, though quite basic.

The shower was very small, making it difficult to enjoy as there was barely any room to move. The balcony offered a great view but was extremely small. Additionally, parking was very limited, there were only seven spaces, so you needed to book well in advance if one was available.

The only slight issue in our view was the air con in the room could have been a bit more effective. It worked very well in the communal areas but not so well in the room, the temperature setting made no difference to the actual temperature in the room whether it was set either high or low. This did not affect our general enjoyment of our stay and is only intended as feedback. Everything else was perfect, thank you.

Excellent location, rooftop garden with hot tub. They upgraded our room and we had a huge room with a balcony we could have sunbathed on if we had stayed longer. We were in the town for one night only, and found the hotel perfect for cocktails nearby in the evening and then seeing the turtles in the morning! Breakfast was good, staff were friendly.

Had a kettle in room but no tea or coffee to use with it- small complaint and probably because we booked super last minute. Shower gel contained Methylisothiazolinone which many people are allergic to (me included) - again a super small complaint.

Mouikis Hotel is totally as it describes itself and we loved it. It is brilliantly located and we had a room with a view of the sea which was wonderful. The balcony was big and the room was very comfortable with luxurious touches. The rooftop bar and hot top were great. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful and made our short stay a delightful one.

Location is fantastic, just a few steps away from the waterfront. A very nice tourist / shopping street on the back of the hotel. Staff was very friendly, room was just right for our needs. A very nice rooftop place for relax and have a drink.

Parking is a bit of a problem in the region, hotel's parking is limited in size.

Pros: Great location, free parking on the street, comfortable beds, advanced gym (one machine and only dumbbell so you better know what you’re doing), balcony for laundry, decent breakfast included, rooftop bar / restaurant, and friendly staff.

Cons: Limited paid parking, free parking in the street, and smoking in rooms.

The hotel was very central and in a great location very close to shops, restaurants and attractions. It also offered breakfast, which was a great perk. The people at reception were very helpful.

The room had a bit of wear and tear. The shower head was loose and kept falling. The rooms were a little bit small, and the mattress was a bit firm. The options with the buffet breakfast were a bit limited.

Really nice hotel, with l8vely rooftop sunbeds, bar & jacuzzi.

The air conditioning wasnt very good . Too hot in the room. We were given a fan but this was too noisy in the night. Given extra card key to keep a/c on 24/7 but room never got to really chilled ! No one checked itwas ok now etc Stayed two nights.

Beautiful hotel in Argostoli . Our room was small but very cosy and modern . The bed is a good size and extremely comfortable. Air conditioning is excellent .Bathroom is small but the shower is very good and we always had hot water .. Bathrobes and slippers are also provided . There is a TV with some English channels and plenty of plug sockets . The maid cleaned our room once a day and did an excellent job. Our balcony was very private with a fantastic view . It had two sun loungers with towels provided so we could spend time relaxing there. There is also a small table and chairs . Breakfast is up until 10.30 am each morning, and this is continential buffet style , they also have sausages, bacon and eggs etc . Plenty of choice for everyone. The rooftop terrace is so amazing ! The most incredible view of Argostoli and the harbour . They have tables and chairs and also some some sun loungers . There is a hot tub which I highly recommend. I did not want to get out! You really can't ask for a better view whilst relaxing in a hot tub! The bar on the terrace is open from 3pm until 11pm . Excellent service here from Joanna, who was very professional and friendly. We really enjoyed chatting to her and hope to see her again one day . The staff are all very hospitable and made us feel very welcome during our stay . Myself and my husband have been coming to Kefalonia for 17 years, but this was our first time staying in Argostoli . We really enjoyed being based here, and we will definitely stay at The Mouikis Hotel again .
