We stayed at Sami Beach Hotel for the first time while getting married at a nearby venue, and it was absolutely fantastic. Along with my partner and I, 12 of our wedding guests also stayed at the hotel, and the staff went above and beyond to make everyone’s stay special. The location couldn’t have been better — with the pool, bar, and beach just steps away. The team was incredibly helpful, arranging taxis, car rentals, and even helping us find local activities. Many of our other wedding guests wished they had booked here too! The hotel was beautiful, the staff were exceptional, and by the end of our stay, they felt more like friends. We truly couldn’t have asked for more.

Loved my stay there! Great location (easy to explore the island, restaurants in walking distance), friendly staff, nice vibe. Mostly seniors and young families, so the atmosphere is very calm. Hotel bar was nice too! Absolutely recommended stay on Kefalonia

3 suggestions to make it even better in the future: 1) Installation of doors or thick curtains between the bedroom and the room's foyer as to reduce the noise coming from the hallway, 2) a bottle of water in the room after arrival, 3) a moscito net with magnetic open/close mechanism to the balcony (although this might wear out too quickly in a hotel, not sure)

very friendly family run hotel directly on the beach Staff very attentive and always happy to help.. Our room.was on first floor, upgraded free of charge and looked as if everything was new. Comfortable bed and a small balcony.The outlook over the mountains was beautiful and very peaceful. Swimming pool kept very clean. Excellent wide choice breakfast. Transfer to and from the airport in the hotels own private car was perfect and can be prebooked for €60 each way.

The hotel is about 20min walk along the beach path from Sami Port, or 10min walk from Karavamilos in the opposite direction. There is no food at the hotel after 4.30pm although we were told an occasional barbecue is held during the High Summer months. Most of the evening eating therefore would need to be in Sami , or at one of the 2 tavernas or Bakery and Coffee shop in KaravomilosThe hotel can provide a service to take you or collect from Sami at €10. There is no entertainment generally in the area. There is a very limited bus service from Karavamilos to Argostoli one in a morning at 7.30, and one back after lunch which gives you about 4 hours to explore. Other than that you really need a hire car to see the Island.

The location is the best thing about this hotel, the setting is beautiful! I'm so glad I booked here and not booked to stay in Sami itself as it was peaceful and less busy here. The staff are so friendly and helpful, they really make you feel at home. The rooms are huge and clean, have everything you need. There are shutters on the patio door which when fully closed block out all light so your not woken early by the sun, bliss! Plenty of car parking and the pool bar has a good choice of drinks & food. Would highly recommend this place.

Breakfast was nice but lots of sweet bits, fine for a 3 star hotel. I used the microwave to make porridge which was great. TV in the room only had 1 English channel (bbc world news). No apps on TV. Noise between rooms not great, the housekeeping staff start early and are very noisy. Bring ear plugs!

The hotel was beautifully decorated with a charming Greek beach vibe. Everything was clean and well-maintained, creating a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were very helpful and accommodating—we had to check out before breakfast, and they kindly arranged a take-away meal for us. The food during our stay was fabulous. The location is convenient: a short walk to nearby restaurants, cafés, grocery stores, and bus stops. It’s about 1.5 km to the town center and 2 km to the ferry port. The photos online are accurate and reflect the space exactly. I think the best part of the hotel is that it has a beautiful pool with the beach right there in front of you to easily use both for swimming. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and both the Wi-Fi and air conditioning worked flawlessly. While the hotel is a bit on the pricey side, the overall experience was excellent, and I would definitely recommend it.

You can hear a bit from the neighboring rooms via the bathroom, but it wasn’t enough to be distracting or bothersome.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The Hotel and grounds including pool area and terrace are kept immaculately and inside looks and feels freshly painted everywhere. It is very clean, the rooms fresh, bright and modern feeling and a good comfortable size. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice and we looked forward to it and enjoyed it every day. The Hotel, pool area and bar has a beautiful outlook right on the beach overlooking the bay. It is very peaceful. The pool area was never crowded and always felt spacious, with more than enough sunbeds, furniture etc for everyone. The team there are all absolutely lovely, welcoming, and couldn't be more accommodating. Melissani Lake is a 10-15 minute walk, mostly along the shore. Sami is about 10 - 15 mins stroll in the opposite direction, and has everything you need, including a good selection of seafront restaurants. We hired a car from Sami for a couple of days so we could visit Assos, Myrtos, and Antisamos beach, and we took a boat trip to Ithaca which was stunning. Overall, a wonderful family holiday, we hope to come again! Thank you all at Sami Beach Hotel we hope to see you again Xx

We stayed at this hotel 20 years ago and totally enjoyed it. Now 20 years later our stay was better than. The staff and Dorizas family make every guest feel like family. Remodel is beautiful, breakfast excellent. Beach and pool very relaxing. Our only regret is that we only stayed 2 nights. Hopefully we will go back to Kefalonia and our stay will be longer. Can't say enough about this hotel. If you ever go to Kefalonia you must stay here. Great location on the island. Thank you Dorizas family. Brandt family for USA will be back. Sas efcharisto gia ola

The Garden suite where I stayed was lovely - very well equipped & comfortable with loads of space & a nice out door space with table & chairs & loungers. The staff were all very friendly, helpful & spoke excellent English. There was a great atmosphere throughout the whole resort which punches well above its 3 star rating. The breakfast was nice with plenty of choice & the grounds very well kept. We loved having the beach on the resort as well as the large pool. We stayed in early September so there were no children staying and it was quiet despite the hotel being full.

My friend staying in one of the mountain rooms at the back of the hotel did find the noise of a generator rather annoying at night time. It wouldn't put her off staying again but she would choose a sea facing or left hand side room another time.

A beautiful & lovely hotel, located just in the most wonderful place in Sámi, and in my opinion, in all of Cephalonia. As soon as we arrived, we were filled with it's positive energies, which impart tranquility and calmness. I want to praise the staff and management, all of them! from the first to the last... I don't have enough words to describe the warmth and caring attitude each one of them shows towards the guests, At any given moment. It feels like everyone's desire is to provide you with the best, and it really shows how important it is to them that your stay at the hotel is as comfortable, peaceful, and enjoyable as possible. It's touching how their service and warm smile can make your day more beautiful, )as if the area is not beautiful enough...) I have no doubt that this is the hotel that has left the biggest impression on me, and made me want to return and stay again as soon as possible.

We loved everithing.

Breakfast was tasty with a wide variety of fresh food. The ladies at breakfast were very friendly and chatted with all the guests every single morning . The pool area was nice and relaxing. The Melissani caves are only 3 min away by car.

The bathroom was small and old. The hotel is located in an extremely quiet neighbourhood where there are 1 or 2 restaurants, we didn't see them open at all, so we drove to Sami every night for dinner . Nothing to do in that neighbourhood.
