I spend five beautiful days in this hotel. The room was lovely - tastefully decorated, exceptionally clean and bright. Beautifully landscaped territory. Gorgeous small private beach. Special thanks to Dimitra for her sunny smile, very warm and professional welcome and care. Thanks to Eleni, head chef, for her extraordinarily tasty, fresh and well presented food. Very grateful to Kseniia, Marina and Louis. And, huge thank you to Vasiliki (Vicky), bartender and waitress at the restaurant - with her positive attitude and delicate sense of humour she made my stay absolutely fabulous and unforgettable!

We had a great stay at Avatel, Ksenia gave us a very warm welcome and made sure we had everything we needed! The beach is just a few minutes away, I was worried the path might be steep or slippery, but that was not the case. It's an easy walk you can do in your slippers. We also had our ~5kg dog with is, and he quite enjoyed running around on the grass and on the beach. He really wanted to make friends with the few cats who were around, though they were busy minding their own business. The restaurant was pretty good - we only had the very-early-season limited selecton of the menu, which is a good thing because it shows they keep the products fresh. The food we had was really good, and so was the mojito, I'd definitely recomend it. Both Eleni, who served for us, and Eleni, who cooked for us, were amazing :) The breakfast was really good, totally worth it! When the weather is nice it is served outside and ,luckilly, we only had good weather, so we didn't see the indoor breakfast area. Going out and about is easy, exploring the other beaches in the vicinity is a matter of getting on your car and back on the main road, which is probably less than 5 minutes. Overall, I am very happy with our stay, everyone was super friendly and they made our last-minute April beach trip a blast :)

Extremely polite and friendly stuff which makes your stay different. For 2-3 days of staying the breakfast was totally fine. May be for one week it requires more variety. Nice and clean territory, safe parking next to the hotel. Private beach in 5 minutes walk distance, was totally fine with us to climb and go down, with attention for someone who can’t climb.

The room requires some maintenance and men love. It was quite cold during nights and the air conditioning doesn’t work for heating. Despite small things in the room I would recommend this place because of the attitude of the stuff and the atmosphere around it.

A quiet place to rest surrounded by nature. The rooms are spacious. Rooms are cleaned every day. The beds and pillows are comfortable. All windows have mosquito nets. Both rooms in the apartment have air conditioning. The kitchen is well equipped. Shops are further so a car is necessary. There is enough parking space. The pool is big enough and very clean, although it seems smaller in the pictures. There is a bar with music by the pool. The beach and the sea are clean. It is quiet on the beach, without music and wifi. The staff is very friendly and helpful, aspecialy Yulia who was very helpful in finding me a car mechanic. For the people with smaller kids big garden with space for playing is bonus, teens can play table tennis.

Wifi in the room on second floor is not so strong like by the pool.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Avatel. Everything was perfect — from the comfortable beds to the spotless white bed linens and towels. The room had everything we needed, and it felt cozy, clean, and truly comfortable. The atmosphere was very warm and home-like, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and welcoming. A special thank you to Ksenia — she was always around, incredibly kind, and helped us so much throughout our stay. The food was delicious — compliments to the chef! Every meal was a pleasure. Thank you to the entire Avatel team for making our vacation so wonderful. We hope to come back again soon!

Great beach, private and lovely stroll down to it. The room was smaller than we expected but well appointed with a kitchenette, balcony and views of the pool and sea, it was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good though we didn't eat the cooked food because it wasn't to our taste but the fruit and Greek yoghurt etc were enjoyable. The staff were friendly and all spoke English with all the guests who were predominantly East European. We were the first British guests to stay this year!!

Nothing really. As mentioned, we thought the room was smaller than we expected

I don't like giving a rating of 10 that might be misleading. One needs to be realistic. This is not a super-luxury hotel at the highest level compared to luxury hotels. But that can also be an advantage. This is a cozy, hidden, quiet place for a peaceful vacation. There are many lovely things. A great breakfast. A beautiful courtyard. An enchanting little forest on the way to the beach. Everything is here in one place. If you like being woken up by birds in the morning, then this is the place for you. For Kassandra, which is very crowded and overwhelmed with visitors, and for us who regularly vacation in Sithonia, this was accommodation that offered us peace, and due to its location, the possibility to easily visit nearby places when we wanted to go out for dinner, etc. I would definitely recommend this place for a vacation! Not only that, but I rarely return to the same place twice, and here I'm sure we will come again!

Complaints are possible, but they would all be about things the hotel never claimed to offer. Realistically, what you see in the pictures is what you get there. There are no unpleasant surprises. It will only be better than that. Maybe the only surprise was the road from the main highway to the property. A bad road, definitely inconvenient to walk on, and not at all safe at night. If it were a nice road, we would certainly have chosen to walk to Kriopigi and back in the evening, but this way we had to go by car. But that can hardly be a complaint, as the road is public and belongs to many houses, so it cannot be a rating for this accommodation. However, it is useful information.

We loved our stay at Avatel and there were so many things we totally enjoyed. Starting with the beach (private beach which is reachable in 2 mints via a very pleasant path), the surrounding nature and green environment, the food, premises (super clean and eco friendly), the pool and the staff who seemed to be a great team dedicated to make the visitors’ stay as enjoyable as possible. Xenia (the manager) was the first person welcoming us and very helpful; then Vicky, Kostas, Eleni, Anna and the rest of the team (including the janitors and assisting staff) who were performing their duties with high professionalism. The area of Kriopigi is definitely a great choice for those who want to spend peaceful and nature friendly holidays. And of yes, then Avatel should be your first option. The beach (sandy) is for Avatel hotel guests only and is very clean. Food at the hotel was really great quality and freshly cooked. We’ll definitely come back again and highly recommend the place

We had a fantastic stay at the Avatel Eco Lodge with our 2 children. The hotel complex is beautifully situated and has lots of greenery. There is a sufficiently large pool with a pool bar (where you can also get beach towels), and the beach is just a few minutes' walk along a small path through a pine forest. There were always plenty of sun loungers and parasols on the beach, and SUPs could be hired from reception for €20/day. The rooms are very functionally furnished and very clean. Ours had a balcony with a view over the pool to the sea. The WHOLE team that looks after the hotel and its guests deserves special mention! As soon as we arrived, we were greeted very warmly and with a warm smile by the manager Ksenia and Kostas - no matter what questions we had, they were always present and ready to help. In the morning, we were greeted for breakfast by the cheerful Margarita and Elisabeth, who made sure that everything was always available at the buffet and was replenished if necessary. In addition to the building with the apartment rooms and the breakfast room, there is also the restaurant and bar area, which is partly completely open-air and partly covered. Here, too, we were always served very pleasantly by Vieky while Eleni cooked tasty meals or prepared super good snacks for us . Nickos helped us to get our younger daughter out of the bathroom (she had accidentally locked herself in) and Eleni gave us a small pot of Greek yogurt to soothe the slight sunburn (great tip, by the way!). In short, apart from the location and the fantastic beach, it was the people at Avatel who made our vacation so great. Many thanks for that!!!

All was fine!

The hotel is located around 200 meters from the beach. The stuff at the hotel is smiley and ready to help. Especially Margarita and Elisabeth that were the hosts in the breakfast buffet were very friendly. The breakfast varies from day to day. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Check in and check out was easy to perform and we even managed to check in earlier that the designated time. The path that leads to the beach is very beautiful (big trees are around the path, one feels as if you are in the jungle). In the morning one can hear the cicadas signing.

Even though the path to the beach is beautiful, one might find it a bit difficult to return from the beach to the hotel. This is because the path is a bit steep and this might be tricky especially for old people. There were many bees at the restaurant area (more than 20 bees) which were trying to get some of our food. This made our experience in the restaurant not pleasant and we decided to "order" the food from the restaurant and to be delivered to our room for the rest of our nights at the hotel.
