I spend five beautiful days in this hotel. The room was lovely - tastefully decorated, exceptionally clean and bright. Beautifully landscaped territory. Gorgeous small private beach. Special thanks to Dimitra for her sunny smile, very warm and professional welcome and care. Thanks to Eleni, head chef, for her extraordinarily tasty, fresh and well presented food. Very grateful to Kseniia, Marina and Louis. And, huge thank you to Vasiliki (Vicky), bartender and waitress at the restaurant - with her positive attitude and delicate sense of humour she made my stay absolutely fabulous and unforgettable!

I don't like giving a rating of 10 that might be misleading. One needs to be realistic. This is not a super-luxury hotel at the highest level compared to luxury hotels. But that can also be an advantage. This is a cozy, hidden, quiet place for a peaceful vacation. There are many lovely things. A great breakfast. A beautiful courtyard. An enchanting little forest on the way to the beach. Everything is here in one place. If you like being woken up by birds in the morning, then this is the place for you. For Kassandra, which is very crowded and overwhelmed with visitors, and for us who regularly vacation in Sithonia, this was accommodation that offered us peace, and due to its location, the possibility to easily visit nearby places when we wanted to go out for dinner, etc. I would definitely recommend this place for a vacation! Not only that, but I rarely return to the same place twice, and here I'm sure we will come again!

Complaints are possible, but they would all be about things the hotel never claimed to offer. Realistically, what you see in the pictures is what you get there. There are no unpleasant surprises. It will only be better than that. Maybe the only surprise was the road from the main highway to the property. A bad road, definitely inconvenient to walk on, and not at all safe at night. If it were a nice road, we would certainly have chosen to walk to Kriopigi and back in the evening, but this way we had to go by car. But that can hardly be a complaint, as the road is public and belongs to many houses, so it cannot be a rating for this accommodation. However, it is useful information.

The first two days the water was dirty, I thought it was the worst water I ever saw in Greece (where I was for ten years in different locations). Then the waves calmed down and the sea became transparent, turquoise and beautiful. The beach is sandy-stony and with special shoes the entrance and exit in/from water is easier. Or you take the artificial narrow path left of the property to enter the sea...The advantage is that you can feel here very isolated, exactly what we were looking for, a brake far from noise. Very relaxing and beautiful...

I didn't expect the property to be so isolated. You need a car, so we rented one to be able to leave the property and to go to restaurants. The property has a restaurant with pizza, club sandwiches and some Greek appetizers, which is OK for one or two days, but we were there for a week and felt this was not enough variation. Also, the room only has air conditioned in the living room, which is a disadvantage for the bedroom. One has to leave the door open between the living room and the bedroom to have cooler air in the bedroom, which is uncomfortable if someone sleeps in the bed in the living room. Also, if you wash dishes, there is no place where to leave them to drain.

We loved our stay at Avatel and there were so many things we totally enjoyed. Starting with the beach (private beach which is reachable in 2 mints via a very pleasant path), the surrounding nature and green environment, the food, premises (super clean and eco friendly), the pool and the staff who seemed to be a great team dedicated to make the visitors’ stay as enjoyable as possible. Xenia (the manager) was the first person welcoming us and very helpful; then Vicky, Kostas, Eleni, Anna and the rest of the team (including the janitors and assisting staff) who were performing their duties with high professionalism. The area of Kriopigi is definitely a great choice for those who want to spend peaceful and nature friendly holidays. And of yes, then Avatel should be your first option. The beach (sandy) is for Avatel hotel guests only and is very clean. Food at the hotel was really great quality and freshly cooked. We’ll definitely come back again and highly recommend the place

We had a fantastic stay at the Avatel Eco Lodge with our 2 children. The hotel complex is beautifully situated and has lots of greenery. There is a sufficiently large pool with a pool bar (where you can also get beach towels), and the beach is just a few minutes' walk along a small path through a pine forest. There were always plenty of sun loungers and parasols on the beach, and SUPs could be hired from reception for €20/day. The rooms are very functionally furnished and very clean. Ours had a balcony with a view over the pool to the sea. The WHOLE team that looks after the hotel and its guests deserves special mention! As soon as we arrived, we were greeted very warmly and with a warm smile by the manager Ksenia and Kostas - no matter what questions we had, they were always present and ready to help. In the morning, we were greeted for breakfast by the cheerful Margarita and Elisabeth, who made sure that everything was always available at the buffet and was replenished if necessary. In addition to the building with the apartment rooms and the breakfast room, there is also the restaurant and bar area, which is partly completely open-air and partly covered. Here, too, we were always served very pleasantly by Vieky while Eleni cooked tasty meals or prepared super good snacks for us . Nickos helped us to get our younger daughter out of the bathroom (she had accidentally locked herself in) and Eleni gave us a small pot of Greek yogurt to soothe the slight sunburn (great tip, by the way!). In short, apart from the location and the fantastic beach, it was the people at Avatel who made our vacation so great. Many thanks for that!!!

All was fine!

The hotel is located around 200 meters from the beach. The stuff at the hotel is smiley and ready to help. Especially Margarita and Elisabeth that were the hosts in the breakfast buffet were very friendly. The breakfast varies from day to day. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Check in and check out was easy to perform and we even managed to check in earlier that the designated time. The path that leads to the beach is very beautiful (big trees are around the path, one feels as if you are in the jungle). In the morning one can hear the cicadas signing.

Even though the path to the beach is beautiful, one might find it a bit difficult to return from the beach to the hotel. This is because the path is a bit steep and this might be tricky especially for old people. There were many bees at the restaurant area (more than 20 bees) which were trying to get some of our food. This made our experience in the restaurant not pleasant and we decided to "order" the food from the restaurant and to be delivered to our room for the rest of our nights at the hotel.

A beautiful hotel surrounded with nature. Clean, well equipped kitchen, bath products and anything we needed. Great beach with everything you need for free. We loved to rent a paddle board and surf. The staff was amazing! Starting with the manager Csania who upgraded our room, was super nice and helpful and made sure we will have everything we need with a big smile. Elina is a great staff member who helped us with specific recommendations, served us breakfast with a smile and a true willingness that we will have the best time ever! Breakfast was amazing, fresh and delicious made by chef Elina. It was a wonderful stay!

Nature and garden are really beautiful, pool is small but silent and nice. Actually everything small but peaceful. Almost private beach is a big plus. There are basic sunbeds and umbrellas. Balcony is enough for two and drinking something on there is nice. Breakfast is average but enough, fresh fruits are good. Rooms are clean, bed size is good.

The last 900m road for the hotel is not good and stressful to drive. Walking the main road is not an option for summerdays I think. Also the pathway for the beach is nice but hard to walk especially with a baby/ toddler or old people . Actually the main reason to choose this hotel was a private beach, We thought that it would be easy to go room to beach when we need for baby care but it wasn’t. Cleaning of the rooms is not bad but the towels are grey and old. Bed and pillows are not comfortable . And last thing its not about hotel but mosquitoes are really bad so I recommend long sleeve and long leggings something especially for sleeping

A very nice hotel located in a pine forest. Very beautiful view to the sea. The territory is small but very well maintained. The hotel has a very nice secluded sandy beach with good entrance in the sea. Free sunbeds and umbrellas. A car would be recommended but we managed without. It is a 20 minute walk to the village. For those with mobility issues the path to the beach might be challenging since the hotel is located on a hill. The staff was very kind. Overall, I would recommend this hotel

The pillows are not very comfortable.

It was a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway. Nestled in a tranquil natural setting close to the sea, the hotel is surrounded by nature, and the rooms are minimalist yet cozy. The staff was a big plus — warm, attentive, and thoughtful when it came to guests' needs. We stayed over the Easter holiday, and what I liked most was the traditional lunch with grilled lamb and authentic Greek food.

A small part of the road to the hotel is unpaved, and it's difficult to leave the premises without a car.
