Giannis is a very hospitable host. The accommodation is a couple of minutes walk from the ferry in Katapola. We were met by our host and the gifts on arrival and departure were a lovely surprise. The apartment overlooked the harbour and was very spacious and comfortable. The apartment had a good size balcony, separate kitchenette with a sofa bed and wardrobes. The bed was very comfortable and the water in the shower was always hot. There's plenty of bars and restaurants next to the accommodation along with car hire companies. Giannis was great at offering advice and suggestions. Many thanks Giannis.

Typical of many Greek bathrooms, the shower was a tray with curtains and a little on the small size but this wasn't a big issue.

We had a wonderful stay at Porto katapola in Amorgos! The place is cozy, spotless, with beautiful view and a peaceful atmosphere. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, always ready to help with anything we needed and generous. The location is perfect — close to everything, yet quiet enough to truly relax. We felt at home from the very first moment and would happily return on our next trip to Amorgos. Highly recommended!

As a golden member of booking, we travel a lot, but the experience with this pension and his host was very special , we had not had a personal welcome at port like Gannis did and all of his attentions and kindness given during our stay made us feel very warm in this beautiful island. His pension is well located, very clean, the shampoo, the towels are the high quality products of 5 star hotel, we enjoyed our balcony with the view of beautiful garden, we couldn’t be happier than being at his place, so thank you very much for what you have done to us, we have already recommended our friends to come to his place!

Accommodation very close to the port and l was met and helped with my bag. Excellent communication from early on. The room was recently renovated, very tastefully. A kitchen sink, dishes, coffee maker, kettle and a quiet fridge. Lovely balcony with new bright yellow chairs and even a sun umbrella. A welcome bag of goodies on the bed. I loved everything.

Great location! Easy walk to the port and many restaurants for breakfasts and dinners. Bakery literally steps away too. Giannis recommended a restaurant in the traditional mountain village of Lagada for lunch. Ate there one day, great food, idyllic location in the village, really nice lady. Giannis recommended two restaurants in southern Amorgos for lunch. Ate at one the day I explored southern Amorgos. Wonderful family run place where literally everything on the menu is homegrown. Giannis is a peach of a guy always ready to help.

The property was in a great location with a wonderful view of the harbour from its balcony. The apartment was nicely presented and had good facilities. Giannis met with us on arrival and provided a map and suggestions on places to visit and places to eat. On the last day when our ferry was cancelled Giannis showed up at the port and helped sort out a plan for us. Truly a remarkable host and a wonderful apartment. I’d totally recommend staying there if you visit Katapola on Amorgos.

Best place to stay in Amorgos, and it was really our best experience out of 12 days and 6 hotels in 5 greek islands. Giannis is the best host we've ever had. He felt us at home as soon as he welcomed us off the ferry. He helped us a lot, like a best friend, in time of big crisis where we lost our bag. He was very responsive through booking, easy and welcoming communication, gave amazing tips about the island through stay. The room with sea view was fantastic, the view of the port and the sea was a true joy. We miss already Giannis and Amorgos, and definitelly we’ll be back.

Nice and quiet location just at the side of the Katapoli town center and on walking distance from the nearby town of Xilokeratidi (make sure to visit the Moon bar and meet the local people). Different beautiful hiking trails start near the accommodation. Our host Giannis was really very friendly and forthcoming.

If you visit early May (as we did) please keep in mind that the busses are not yet running so you will most certainly need a taxi (or hire a car or scooter) if you want to explore the island. Later during the season the bus stop is just next door from the accommodation

Everything! Giannis was so welcoming, the room (and view) were perfect. The bed was super-comfortable and the whole place was spotless. The bathroom was tiny; very efficient use of space. Such excellent value for money.

After 5hrs of ferry from Milos we reached Amorgos, and from the moment we stepped in the port, we knew this island was unique. The peace of the land and the beauty of the sea associated to the kindness of the people were truly special and much appreciated.
