Hotel is located right on the coastline. It's not a new hotel, but clean and nice. Good for beach holidays, but there is not much to see around the hotel. The hotel has own umbrellas on the beach which are free to use. We also liked the beach bar with various cocktails. Food was OK and we always could find something to our taste in the main restaurant. We tried all the à la carte places and I could recommend Greek restaurant. Asian à la carte was normal if you take right things, but Mexican and American we didn't like. If you want to visit à la carte restaurant, please book it asap as number of tables is very limited. Minibar is refilled every second day, but if you ask you always can get what you need. There is a small shop inside the hotel (close to main pool) and few more across the main entrance with all necessities and souvenirs. Also you can rent a car right in the hotel. Free wifi worked well in our bungalow and sometimes even on the beach.

We had only one key from our bungalow, which makes it sometimes difficult to manage. We didn't like mosquitos late night, but we bought repellent in the shop which really helped. Would be nice to have irons in rooms.

Special mentions to Georgia, concierge at reception. She was amazing! and made our trip for sure. The gentlemen who helped with the suitcases and saved our Hermit crab too ;o) (long story!) The bar staff on the beach also amazing at the Rodos Village end of the bar. Chris and Stefano getting a special mention. The room service was great too.

some staff in the restaurant were a little less welcoming, for a 5* would have expected more attention at the tables, clearing etc. the Good certainly outweighed the bad and generally you could not ask for better people than those in Rhodes. Sunbeds need sorting they don't stay in position. The food in the restaurant was repetitive and ok standard.

The location is amazing and the hotel is grand. The staff were very professional. The only thing that I wish would change is how some of the customers behave. This place deserves all the praise and we would highly recommend.

All was well until a family of 23 arrived and disturbed, what it seemed to be everyone's vacation. Very loud and we couldn't enjoy the beach or any shows as they would jump around and cause havoc. Also the only thing that I can say about the hotel itself is that they should change the quality of the gyro as it is nothing like our traditional dish and it puts us to shame.

Amazing hotel, almost on the beach, great services. Staff is so nice, professional, always willing to help. Eating outside always made our day as well as a la carte restaurants. Beach equiped by umbrelas, sunbeds, bars with drinks, beached cleaned every day. Hotel pool quite crowded and with loud music, so we finally preferred the beach area with was 3 mins walk from the mail building.

Sunbeds - quite uncomfortable and “self-folding” sometimes. Early arrival made us waiting in the lobby with our luggage - leaving our suitcases in the “room” easily accessible from the street did not make good impression on us (we realised later we could at least use hotel restaurant for refreshment - but was not offered to us at our arrival:(). But we somehow counted with it so it did not spoil our stay. Night entertaiment - made us stay awake to the late night 11pm, sometimes the music went from 2 directions - pool and amphiteathre - maybe consider to provide choice of area at checking in, not everyone preffers to stay awake until late night.

I liked the food, the pool area, the fact the beach is not far. Staff in the main restaurant were superb very friendly and helpful. I like that you can go to another partner hotel to have lunch dinner and stay for the day

I did not like that you don't have enough irons and ironing boards, most days I have to travel around with clothes that were not ironed. We didn't like that one of the staff lied about availability to go to the children's pool at the other hotel (mitsis rodos village) we are there to enjoy ourselves. We went anyway and it was virtually empty so I don't know what she gained by lying to my family

Large resort, exceptionally clean and tidy. Staff were always polite, friendly and helpful. The property is accessible and had great facilities. The food options were brilliant especially the pizza on the beach, gyros at the American a la carte and great options at the buffet. Cocktails and other drink options were brilliant. Shops on site which were reasonable in price and had lots of gifts/food etc. Rooms were lovely and clean and cleaned as regular as you want. Beach towels provided which was great. Overall brilliant hotel and would definitely return !

Nothing I didn’t like

I like modern, luxury main building, five la a carte restaurants, everyday dinner with a theme. I like hotel beach. We love the food, drinks. Everything was so clean!

I didnt like that we came and try to book la a carte restaurant, but it was fully booked. There was two childs pool… but they were very small. But little bit deep for 100cm child. And not so much activities for kids. My child 3 and half. And i cannot leave it for a little while. Babysitting price for 35euros and just from 4 years old.

It is very spacious, there are several pools and the beach nearby is fantastic. My room was clean and big with a nice balcony. It was very comfortable and relaxing. The mini fridge was packed with drink options (water, soda, beer, wine).There were many food options at the buffet and the restaurants were so good! I liked the cats roaming around. The staff was very friendly, a special shout out to Dorjan the server!

The resort is far from the airport so it takes awhile to get there by bus. Nearby there is not much but staying on the resort was fine with me. Some beach bar staff could have provided better service.

The hotel is excellent. The bungalows were pleasant, with frequent cleaning, towel, linen changes, and regular restocking of the fridge. The food was superb, even compared to all-inclusive resorts in Turkey. The staff was excellent, and there were entertaining programs. I enjoyed everything about this hotel.

Some ants crawled into the room through holes in the door frame. Some mosquitoes slightly disrupted evening gatherings by the table with beer, admiring the sunset near the bungalow. It would be nice to hang something on the back doors leading to the garden to prevent flies and mosquitoes from entering the bungalow.

Mitsis Matis Rodos is a fantastic hotel. John from guest relations especially organized everything really well for us. First time, he did so in June. And now the second time, in October. We travel a lot. But we can come across such a team very rarely. We would like to come back to this hotel time and time again. At the reception, Mika is very professional. She found the best room for us. The food is also amazing, which is thanks to their great chef. The waiters were amazing and very friendly. A lot of different nationalities work together in the stuff yet they remain extremely friendly and work as a team. We especially want to note the great work of John. Without this person, I’m sure the hotel will lose out on a lot. The housekeeping was also next level.
