I was absolutely delighted to discover this hidden gem. Perfectly situated just 10 minutes from the airport, it offers exceptional value for money. The room was immaculate, either brand new or recently renovated, and equipped with every amenity you could need for a comfortable stay. The two brothers who own the place were incredibly welcoming and always easy to reach via WhatsApp or email. To top it off, one of the brothers even runs a taxi service, and for a very reasonable €20, he personally picked me up and dropped me off at the airport. I can't wait to return and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a convenient and charming stay

This hotel is well placed in a suburb of Athens near the airport. The suburb is unremarkable but it is well located for early or late use of the airport with no requirement for long taxi ride to and from central Athens. You could also use this hotel as a base to explore this part of Greece and the lesser known beaches up the east coast near Athens. The room is extremely well presented with brilliant facilities such as a washing machine and oven. The owner had arranged for us to be collected from the local station and taken to the airport the next day. This taxi service was very professional and the driver also knew the property well and was able to check us in.

We used the outdoor terrace at night and left the terrace door open which allowed a number of mosquitos into the room. We would have kept the patio door shut to avoid this.

The property was modern, practical and comfortable. We loved the big deck the open views toward the hills. It is not located in a very touristy area, but we found restaurants and grocery stores within easy walking distance (less than 15 minutes). Markopoulo was also a nice area to walk around especially away from the busy street. Our apartment was very quiet at night with some traffic noise starting at about 7:30 am. With the shutters closed, our room was very dark, so we were able to sleep well. Akis and Vaios, the owners, also have a taxi company, so they provided us with reasonably fared shuttle services to and from the airport on the 2 different days we stayed at the accommodation. They were very reliable and friendly!

10 minutes from the airport which is important when one has a 6 am flight. They provide reasonable taxi service anywhere you wish to go, the port, downtown Athens, the airport. The room provides everything one could want, wonderful shower, all manner of kitchen appliances, even a washing machine. Unfortunately no phone (and our phones did not work) so we were unable to order food delivery. Also a great tv but no directions how to work it which is obviously in a different language. On the 2nd night we figured out how to log into Netflix. Huge deck with great view. A couple blocks to a wonderful bakery which also has small store so I was able to purchase kitty kibble for the poor stray and feral neighborhood kitties.

A telephone, a guide for the tv, a map as restaurants were a considerable walk to the village.

Beautifully newly renovated studio apartment conveniently located fifteen minutes from the airport. The apartment was clean and spacious with a large balcony overlooking the suburban countryside of Athens. The owners are two brothers who provide exceptional service and who obviously take pride in providing the best service possible for their guests. They also provide taxi services at a reasonable cost in spotlessly clean vehicles, even late night or early morning service to the airport. The unit is located within easy walking distance to coffee shops and restaurants.

Our experience was all good, no issues at all.

This was a no brainer for me. All I needed was a place to stay that was close to the airport as I arrived around midnight and needed to be back at the airport by midday the next day. After being stung a few too many times with cabs around Athens, AVR arranged a cab to and from the airport and I knew how much it was going to cost before I booked it (bonus) then when I arrived at my room I was so impressed at how lovely it was I wish I could have stayed there longer. I have no hesitation recommending this place and would definitely stay again if I had the chance.

The only thing, and only because you are asking is maybe some instructions on how to work the TV and perhaps some long life milk in the room for a cup of tea?

I booked this family style hotel for its proximity to the Athens international airport after returning from a cruise in the Mediterranean Sea. It is well located and reasonably priced. Also, I had to leave very early (at 6:00am ) the next morning, to make my flight back home. The owner of the hotel also has a taxi and he drove me to the airport on time. There’s a very nice bakery about 5 minutes walk from the hotel and they make excellent coffee and baked goods.

Upon arrival, earlier than check in time, I didn’t know how to contact the owner, as there’s no reception desk. The gentleman of the small boutique at the street level was very kind and texted the owner about my early arrival and he came promptly. All was settled nicely. Although it’s in a nice and quiet new neighbourhood, and the doors and windows are brand new, I could hear the noise from the outside. Maybe some insulation around the door would help.

The location ten minutes from the airport was fantastic. After some confusion about airport pickup which was probably our fault, Akis was there quickly to transport us and help with our bags. He was very friendly and helpful throughout our short stay, and his English is exceptional. The hotel is family owned, and it shows in the friendliness and service. Our room was spotless and had everything we could possibly need. There isn't much to do in Markopoulo, but there's a bakery close by for pastries and coffee, and it's a short walk to a cafe with delicious authentic Greek food and good wine. For a one-night stay, it's perfect.

On this night, we had a large apartment and the bedroom was not on the street side. On our return trip, we stayed in a smaller room on the front side, and there was quite a bit of road noise. If you're a light sleeper, it's something to plan for.

The location was in a neighborhood with a nice bakery/Cafe 2 blocks away and only about a 10 minute ride to the airport. Akis was extremely accommodating and helpful in getting us to and from our tour meeting point and back to our room, and in getting us to the airport. He went above and beyond, when we were lost in Athens, in finding us. Exceptional service! The room was very clean and equipped with everything we needed, and more.

I didn't realize there was no reception /check in office and that is the reason they tell you to call when you are 10 minutes away. Akis will come and meet you promptly. It's easiest to contact him through Whatsapp.

The owner Akis is also a taxi driver, so he picked us up at the airport and drove us back next morning for a reasonable price. Above that he even did extra miles - we landed late at the evening and we were really hungry and he drove us to nice restaurant so we could take away the food - priceless! Apartment is very close to airport, only 10 min to drive, near highway so there is no 'city traffic jam', but still in quite quiet area. The apartment was clean, spacious, tastefully furnished and equipped with everything you need - free toiletries, body and hair shampoo, bath and kitchen towels.

Nothing to complain.
