Perfect in almost every way - although my husband is quite tall and we had the only upstairs dormer room (low ceiling on the sides). All the other rooms are downstairs (hint for tall people when booking). Very clean and very modern. Some jet noise once in a while (this is very close to the airport) but really not an issue (good soundproofing!). The staff was wonderful and dinner was very good and reasonably priced- we didn’t have a car so this was very convenient. We enjoyed walking in the countryside before dinner and seeing the ancient church across from the lodging (both are in the countryside maybe a mile from town). I would definitely stay again!

My husband had a hard time with the low Ceiling upstairs- maybe I missed seeing our particular room would have a low ceiling when I booked? (It would be good to let guests know this - I’m short and it wouldn’t have bothered me if traveling alone )

The arranged airport transfers worked really well in 10-15'. The public seating areas inside and on the porch are nice. Room was just fine, WLAN and AC good. Eventually, we met the host at 9pm and she offered to order food and gave us an extra beer what was really nice

Just to be aware: this is literally in the middle of nowhere and you need a car or a cab for any restaurant or shopping. The driver told us there is no reception after 8pm and no breakfast before 8am. Starting planes fly over the property (at least while we were there), fortunately it seems there are no flights between 11pm and 6am

After driving around Greece, we returned the car to the Athens airport and planned to spend one night in Athens before flying out the next morning. Rather than stay in Athens and have 30-40 minute drives each way between a hotel in the city and the airport, we stayed at Veraba Country House. So glad we did! This is a wonderful property and dinner (very good!) with the other quests was quite enjoyable. We had an early flight out and being 10-15 minutes from the airport was very convenient. Nikolia was very nice and a big help in arranging airport transfers before we arrived and and helping us settle in.

This was a one night stay before flight back to USA. It was close to airport and taxi service excellent to & from airport. It was located in the middle of fields of pastachio and olive trees. An old Greek church was nearby. All we wanted to do was rest before flight home and this location was excellent. The personnel were friendly, food was excellent (we had both dinner and breakfast). We met several travelers doing the same thing as us and had several hours of pleasant conversation and drinks with the others staying here.

The airport was near so jet noise was annoying but we knew this was possible. I used white noise on my phone to cover any external noises. The planes did not fly for the entire night so that was good. Some people online complained of dogs barking but this did not bother us even when two sets of travelers had to leave at 4 AM for the airport. It is not located near restaurants or shops so be sure you know you are in the country.

We needed a place to stay for one night in between flights at Athens airport. We preferred to be close, so chose Varaba. From before we arrived through our entire time there, Nikolia was very helpful and responsive. She arranged taxi service to and from the airport, made sure we were taken care of when we arrived and served a wonderful Greek meal for dinner. Our room was clean and had all the essentials for an overnight, including coffee machine for the morning. The setting was very pretty in a rural area 10-15 minutes from airport. We enjoyed meeting Claudine, the owner, who takes great pride in her home and sharing it with others. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Varaba.

As stated it is in a rural setting so there are no places to walk to nearby if you are looking for shops and restaurants. But you could take a taxi if you want to go into Athens. For us, with just needing one night and having a meal option there, this location was perfect.

This place is a perfect blend of convenience and charm. Just a short drive from the airport, yet tucked away in the middle of vineyards — peaceful, scenic, and totally unexpected. The room was comfortable and beautifully decorated, and to our delight, we were welcomed with free beers. Breakfast was nice, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. We also used their shuttle service — they picked us up from the airport and dropped us off the next day at the time we requested, which made everything super easy. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something quiet and pretty close to the airport!

This is a magical home that is located near the Athens Airport in a very nice country setting. The host Nikolia was very responsive to my communications. She also is very kind and attentive to the guests. The home caters to overnighters, but the accommodations would be fine for longer stays. We stayed in a double bed suite. It was very specious, clean, nicely furnished and had high quality linens and toiletries. The main level of the home has a living room for visiting and a wonderful patio for dining. Obviously, there are occasional airplanes going over, but that's expected. For a small fee you can get transport to and from the airport as well as dinner upon your arrival.

Fabulous facilities. Rooms exceptionally clean and well appointed. Linen and towels great quality - and really white! Close to the airport - they can arrange transfers for you in a large vehicle with friendly driver. We had the dinner which was great and included local wine.

There is some noise from the airplanes but if the shutters are closed its not a problem. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere so I'm not sure where you could buy dinner or anything nearby... But the dinner at the hotel is great! Hotel cat wanted to join us in our room but was easily shooed out.

Nikolia was delightful and helpful. We purchased a home cooked dinner which was phenomenal! It made our last night in Greece feel very much like home. We will miss the people and food of Greece a lot. We needed a place close to the airport and greatly appreciated not being in a touristy hotel.

The inn was absolutely lovely. It was close enough to the airport to hear some of the flight noise at night. Unfortunately, the barking dogs in the neighborhood barked all night long. It made sleeping very challenging and kept one of us up most of the night. The owner of the inn stated that she is finding a new home for two of the three dogs. Hope that will help the noise at night.

Beautiful country house! Room was gorgeous, very tastefully decorated. Bed was super comfy with crisp white bedding. Tea and coffee making facilities were available and there was also a small fridge with snacks the host had kindly left for us as we arrived quite late. This was very much appreciated and delicious. Bathroom facilities were excellent with quality toiletries available to use. There was nothing to fault at this property. The owners and hosts covered every detail. Communication throughout was excellent and extremely helpful and thoughtful . Thank you so much for an enjoyable stay, we only wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy the house more!!
