Absolutely all the staff are truly phenomenal. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their enthusiasm and drive was wonderful. We were there in early mid/high season and they hadn’t really quite got into the swing, but every time we needed anything it arrived and was already there the next time we needed or wanted it. The hotel is modern and the rooms really well appointed with everything you need. The local town really suited us. My wife is disabled, and I push her in a wheelchair which was easy as the 1 ½ mile walk into town is flat. However, so many restaurants and bars to choose from, it is a great town. A new 24-hr patisserie has recently opened just 50M away across the road and this was amazing and helped as Avra only catered for breakfast. Breakfast was all we needed

Marginal issues with some “drop downs” for the wheelchair in town, but there was always a solution.

It’s a small clean property, yet very well maintained. The pool was a decent size, with plenty of sun-beds. The breakfast room was decently sized and well positioned. We had a family room with one large double bed, with two singles behind a cleverly used semi partitioned wall. However it was the staff that made this an excellent stay for our extended family. From the people in reception, to the breakfast room, cleaning staff (many exchanging roles during our holiday) to the pool bar attendants each were exceptional. They were interested in what they were doing, we’re happy to chat, even when we bumped into them in the local supermarket, introducing their teenage children. Reception went above and beyond in helping us with travel plans, offering helpful suggestions, and providing local gems off the beaten track, For those staff who didn’t have English as a second language, they tried hard and always made themselves understood, and that requires good will and patience from those staff members. It was very much appreciated.

The only criticism I can offer is that my father at 82 found the walk in and out of Nafplion town centre just within range. For the rest of the family it was no bother, and actually a nice constitutional walk after our evening meals.

Everything. Comfy room, super clean, the softest towels, great water pressure and a very comfortable bed. We’ve also enjoyed the pool. Although the hotel seems to be quite far (20 something minutes walking or 5 minutes by car to the port), just across the street there’s a big bakery and more (breakfast in the morning, cooked food for lunch, cakes, ice cream and coffee) and a supermarket on the same street. Another plus is the parking, very convenient. We also have to mention the staff, from the reception to the private bar and cleaning - a big thank you.

Great beds. Lovely breakfast; fried eggs, yoghurt, cereals, coffee, juices, milk, fruit, ham, cheese, bacon, marmelade, nutella, etc.. Free parking space, always enough free places to park. Only 5 minutes drive to the center of Nafpkio. Great atmosphere, relaxed accomodation. The Pool is perfect for cooling down. The hotel is across bakery Kosmos, which is open 24/7 (!!) and has the best pastry and smoothies in the area!

The room is a bit noisy; the sounds from outside (a busy road in front of the hotel) is not bothering at all (if you keep Windows and balcony closed, the traffic noise doesnt Come in). But sounds from other guests are noticeable; the rooms have a kind of "concrete floor and walls", which creates an echo. If your neighbours talk loud, you can hear them in your room. The accomodation is located near a very busy road (but only noticeable if you need to cross the road to visit the bakery).

Wonderful experience at the Avra Hotel! Peni welcomed us warmly and with genuine care from the very first moment. The hotel is clean, organized, and has a pleasant scent that adds to the relaxing atmosphere. We stayed in a Standard Suite, which was simply perfect – spacious, with a comfortable bed and a wardrobe suitable even for a long stay. Veny, from the excellent breakfast team, was lovely, and the gentleman at the reception was very helpful, kind, and professional. Highly recommended – there’s no doubt we’ll be back!

We were happy staying further out of town for the easy parking behind the hotel so we could easily come and go without worrying about parking on our return. Lovely spacious room with large bed, comfortable chairs and plenty of cupboard space. Excellent shower. Very efficient air conditioning. The fridge was very useful. Lots of sunbeds and chairs and tables round the pool and plenty of shade from the surrounding trees so a very pleasant place to sit. Appreciated the pool towels. Very good variety at breakfast and fried eggs cooked to order. Also appreciated the teapots and milk jugs.

The wardrobe hanging space had a shelf below so too short for hanging dresses. I would have felt safer entering the swimming pool if there was a handrail by the steps. Didn’t enjoy the long walk into town along busy roads. We’re not fast walkers so it took us 30+ minutes. Despite being along the harbour front this is not a scenic walk. But a taxi back after dinner only cost €5 which was worth every €!!

I loved my stay at Avrfa Nafpliou. I was visiting Nafplio for a friend's wedding, and I couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. The hotel is clean, the staff are friendly and helpful, the room was huge, all the features (i.e. air conditioning, fridge, iron, safe) worked perfectly, and it's just a 10-minute walk into the Nafplio old town. Breakfast was great too - I tried a new Greek treat every morning! I didn't get a chance to use the pool, but it looked lovely too. There's also a dedicated parking lot on the road behind the hotel. I felt very comfortable and safe and it was easy to access the hotel after a late night out. A lot of thought has clearly gone into this hotel by the owners and management. They even have bicycles you can borrow to cycle into town. Keep up the great work!

I genuinely can't think of anything I wasn't happy with.

Elegant and modern hotel on the outskirts of Nafplio. Feels like a fresh build. The rooms are stylish and always kept clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast exceeded our expectations. There is a pool too, which appears well-maintained. Our room (and many others) was overlooking the main street leading into the city, so a lot of car traffic, but we didn't hear anything.

Parking could have been signposted a bit better (it is on the next street).

I really liked the design and the cleanliness. The room size is also ok. The parking spot is in the back of the hotel, across the street. We could see our car from the window. The breakfast is simple, but with quality ingredients. I liked the fresh fruits, vegetables, eggs and pies. The location is a bit far, but if you like walking, like we do, it is ok. We enjoyed the walk to the old town. I am very happy that i choose this hotel. It would have been a nightmare to pick something from the old town (there are a lot of steps!) and to leave the car in the port that was packed even in the winter.

It is indeed noisy! We asked for a room on the back and they gave us a room on the side. Best they could do. All rooms are on the front side of the building and they have a balcony. Only the family rooms are on the back and don’t have a balcony. The balcony doors are double isolated, with 2 rows of doors. We brought with us some wax ear plugs. We cane prepared :) otherwise i would have been pretty tricky to sleep.

Really friendly staff. Couldn’t do enough for you. Nothing was too much trouble. Outstanding!!

A little further out from the old town (which is beautiful) than I thought. About a 20 min walk which was easy and straightforward, just a little further than ideal.
