This is a beautiful, fairly new resort. It is on the far side (Southeast) of the island of Santorini, away from the hordes of tourists and gift shops in Oia and Thira. Spend a half-day touring Oia and Thira, then come here to escape the crowds, relax, and swim for the rest of your visit. The room was spacious with a small balcony overlooking the courtyard and pool, and a view of the nearby ocean. It's a 3-4 minute walk to reach the beach, which is immediately adjacent to the resort. There are several pools, but the ocean here is beautiful. The bathroom was large with a really nice shower. The tap water on Santorini is non-potable, but large bottles of water were available at the nearby (5 minute walk) mini-mart for 1 Euro per 1.5 liter. We needed about a bottle/day. The mini-mart also has a nice selection of sunscreens, as well as other sundries. The reception staff at the resort were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The buffet breakfast was varied and excellent. The resort offers a buffet dinner as well, but we preferred to eat (for about the same price) at the row of nearby restaurants along the beachfront. These are only a 2 minute walk from the resort. At the restaurants we had delicious meals of grilled fish and seafood, grilled souvlaki, grilled lamb, traditional Greek salads, and inexpensive Greek wines. The waiters were gracious, friendly, and spoke multiple languages. The resort also offers light fare from the pool bar during the day, and will take and deliver orders to you right on the beach. Christina, who serves the beach area, was gracious and friendly!

The hotel is in a great location, on the beach, away from the hustle and bustle of the island, but close to shops, bars and restaurants. Clean accommodation, comfortable beds, very good food in the restaurant, nice pools. The staff is absolutely great, nice, happy to help at any time. You can easily travel around the island by bus or rented car. We used the car rental through the hotel and everything went smoothly. Sun loungers on the beach are free and serviced. Black sand beach, so shoes are recommended. We were very satisfied and although we like to discover new places, we will be happy to come back here! Thank you for a great holiday.

Great atmosphere. Really enjoyed the time spent by the pool and relaxing. Sun loungers were super comfy. Great balcony and view. Very clean. I loved that the resort was private and closed off as it meant we didn’t have random people trying to sell us stuff on the beach like other European places! Would love to return

The pools were quite cold so didn’t spend a lot of time in them, but relaxing by them was fine

Large and airy rooms with fantastic bathroom/shower and good sized balcony. AC was excellent and almost silent. We loved the poolside bar, fantastic service, great food and cocktails and chilled out music played all day (not too loud) Location was superb, private beach was great and beach sunloungers always available. Many high quality restaurants for lunch or dinner within a few minutes walking. No need for a car unless you want to explore the Island. Hotel helped organise car hire which was dropped to hotel within 20 minutes!! A fabulous resort which is spotlessly clean with attentive staff and a good mix of international guests.

Breakfast was good with lots of variety, but hot food was average. The breakfast area was very busy with lots of people in the very small buffet area. The fruit juice and coffee was awful, we ended up buying coffee from the poolside bar after breakfast. Poolside sun loungers were not available on any day of our stay in the morning as people covered/claimed them with towels very early in the morning. The hotel advise not to do this but do nothing to stop people. Ball games are constantly being played all pools (no adult only pool) which makes relaxing /swimming very frustrating. Would not recommend this resort in high season for couples, much better suited to families.

Everything was great. Staff was great. Breakfast was very good, but some more fruits would be great. Parking along local street, but there was no problem. Beach with umbrellas and sunbeds free for hotel guests. Overall hotel very nice and clean. Need for car to move around the island.

This is a stunning resort! From the quality of the property, pools, sun loungers, breakfast, to the impeccable service provided by the welcoming staff! From the receptionists, to maintenance and housekeeping staff - everyone has been most attentive and helpful. Resort’s quiet location had everything to offer - variety of restaurants within walking distance, trendy cocktail bars, including the one within the resort. Special thank you to the two ladies at Reception who are outstandingly efficient, and Chief Manager Edmund! They are your special assets.

The staff was amazing from the receptionists to the waiters. Quality services and clean rooms. Privat beach with umbrellas and sun beds free for hotel guest. We asked for late check out and it was offered. Breakfast should be improved and more varied. The iced latte and natural juices at the beach bar should be improved.

We had a great time at the hotel. The hotel can arrange a shuttle from the airport for €35 one way, and the trip takes about 30–40 minutes depending on traffic. The rooms are bright and clean, with daily housekeeping. We had breakfast and dinner; the food was varied, but drinks are not included with dinner, which could be improved, as this was not mentioned beforehand — and since we pay for dinner, it implies drinks should be included as well. The pools are nice, and there is also a children’s area. The hotel is right by the beach, with many restaurants and private beaches nearby. It takes about 30–40 minutes to get to the village of Oia, but it’s better to leave two hours in advance because of traffic. A taxi there costs around €50–55. The staff are polite and competent.

Everything was fine

Our stay at Miramare was great, we had a beautiful and relaxing holiday. The resort is very well designed, beautiful mediteranean style, quality, timeless, having authentic and tasteful materials, with great pool, bar and restaurant and beautiful palm trees and mediteranean plants. Everything was calm, peaceful and relaxing. The room was very nice, clean, spatious enough, daily cleaned. The bed and pillows were confortable, the air conditioner was working well, good air, the view was really nice and relaxing. We had 2 meals: breakfast and dinner, both were very good, various and tasteful, couldn't want more; especially the dinner food was excellent, so many delicious and fine prepared dishes, some of them were greek dishes which we liked so much! The resort has a beautiful private beach which is in front of the resort, with nice sunbeds and umbrellas. It was my favourite, it is the nicest and relaxing beach, airy, not crowded, with beautiful fine black sand. The staff was pleasant, proficient, friendly and helpful. We received a bonus on our stay, exceeding our expectations. We had a beautiful good memory holiday!

Excellent setting, great staff, food was also really good quality and plenty of it. The pools were freezing though, but are probably a lot better in the height of summer and there wasn't any restrictions on the very noisy guests who were still making everyone's sleep miserable, at gone 1.00 in the morning! They should have a quiet rule for after 11.00 for the children who need to be in bed and are trying to sleep. It was very clean though and well maintained.
