EVERYTHING!!! Location and views- 10 out of 10! Accommodation- big room compared to some other local hotels, very fresh pleasant look to all the amenities- furniture, bathroom, lighting, balcony. Crispy fresh snow-white bed linen and towels changed regularly. Delicious varied breakfast, including a variety of yammy Greek pastry pies. But above all it is Georgeos - the owner and his hard-working staff that make you feel almost at home- that adds extra touch to the holiday. They go out of their way to help you and if any issue arises they sincerely and promptly sort it straight away.

Absolutely nothing.

The view is just fabulous with just a couple of meters away from the sea ( just cross the street and you’re there) as well as the restaurants and markets places from Plakias city centre . The room was very clean very big with a decent balcony that can accommodate 3 people easily, besides that the area is very quiet and pleasant,perfect atmosphere if you’re lookingto spend a good quiet weekend or even more relaxing time. Big parking place . Strongly recommended.

Location is ok, FANTASTIC view.. comfortable beds. We had two connected rooms with two balconies. At the time of my stay, it was pretty empty there.. Cleanliness is excellent and towels and sheets are changed regularly.

Beach in front of hotel is ok, but not my type of beach.. I had a rental car, so why not use this :) I guess that one rooms are not so big if for example you have one kid (for three persons you get only one room) but if you want four person room you get two connected rooms which is great.

Very large room with private balcony. Very clean and everything I needed in the room, with a huge bed. Excellent value for money. I think everwhere was very recently painted. Bright, fresh room.

Nothing really. Only a small point the towels although fresh and clean were really stiff. Did'nt see any staff other than when I checked in at any point during my stay,or another guest. Bar and restaurant not open or even set up. This did'nt bother me as I always eat out.

The views from here are excellent, the rooms are big and equipped with all things necessary for a nice trip: spacious bathroom, very generous balcony, strong AC, fridge with decent freezer unit, and furnishings. The rooms are south-facing. There's a tavern, two buildings eastward, who's the last one to grill using firewood, so their meats taste very special. For the breakfast included option, there's a spacious terrace with two cats entertaining the eating, and the food, although not too varied, is enough to get you started for the day. The keepers are very friendly and I recommend this for all Romanians, as you'll get along nicely with them, in their native language. Located at the edge of the station, it's very quiet compared to the rowdy east side, and it's close to sweet-shop, fish tavern and supermarket.

I liked the hotel, and my less positive opinion is more related to Plakias - the beach in the area is more suitable for sun-bathing as opposed to sea-bathing, as the free beach belonging to the hotel is set in a rocky, area with coarse sand. For beaching, I either suggest the East part of Plakias (not without it's issues, as a belt of underwater rocks separates the shore from the very nice and long swimming area) or a drive to nearby instagrammable beaches towards Amoudi (search online for more info).

Ideal location,lovely balcony with a sea view. Everything was informal and homely. The staff were helpful.Breakfast was simple Greek but delicious.

No faults. A suggestion would be to have a couple of large mugs and glasses in the bedrooms for guests to make drinks. We only found two small tea cups The shower room could possibly do with an up grade. The staff were very helpful but had very limited English. Maybe putting an information sheet in the rooms may help that problem.

The room was spacious and spotless with a huge and very confortable bed, very clean big bathroom , small kitchen with everthing what you need if you want to do something to eat in your room and a large balcony with a beautiful sea view. The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable.

Nothing to complain!

I stayed at Crete Mare probably about 20 total nights between my visits to plakias in 2021 and 2022. The rooms are very clean, the showers are a little bigger than most in crete and have glass enclosures that prevent the whole bathroom from getting wet. The option for a queen bed is nice, especially because it’s an actual queen bed and not two doubles stacked next to each other. The bed was very comfortable. The service is super friendly. The location is nice, with a calm beach right in front cause the water is protected by rocks to slow the sometimes wind-blown sea. The view tops everything off though. Beautiful views from every room, and close enough to hear the ocean at night. I can’t speak for the breakfast, because I usually didn’t get up early enough for it, but the breakfast next-door at nikos on the rocks serves breakfast all day, and is very good. One other benefit is that nikos bar (next door) stays open later than most other bars in plakias (if your into that, which I was). Service at nikos is also excellent.

The wifi could perhaps be a little stronger.

Great place in a fantastic quiet location. Crete Mare is almost at the far end of Plakias but is only a couple of minutes walk to the main street along the sea front. The room was lovely with a great view out over the sea and breakfast was excellent. We'd definitely stay here again.

The shower was cold in the morning but hot by late afternoon.

We just returned after 12 days stay at Creta Mare Hotel, what a fabulous place. The room was clean and comfortable and the view from balcony is amazing. Location is a very short walk to main restaurants round harbour and the large sandy beach. Ioana and Ana keep the hotel spotlessly clean and look after us very well. The location of this small hotel is just perfect. All rooms have sea view and the sea is just across the road. The hotel has sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach which are free for guests. Plakias is perfect for a relaxing holiday and the Creta Mare is in a beautiful peaceful location where you can even spend the day on the balcony if you wish just looking out to sea. We will certainly be back. Thank you Georgios, Ioana and Ana for our lovely stay at your beautiful hotel. 🙏🥰
