Location, breakfast, cleanliness

Hotel hasn’t any sunbeds on the beach, you have to pay for the sunbeds in front of the hotel (hotel’s restaurant and beach is managed by others) .no wifi on the beach . Breakfast time is short.

Really beautiful hotel with lovely helpful staff. Right on the beach front. The interior is really beautiful and elegant. The breakfast was lovely. We really loved the hotel staff most of all, they were so kind and welcoming.

Very kind staff, very close to the beach, beautifully decorated and super clean room with a cool hot jacuzzi with an awesome sea view only disturbed by some power lines wires from the street. The breakfast is very good served in a well organised space of the Prince restaurant with a cool street and sea view. Great location, the Kamari neighbourhood is fantastic in the summer: Full of diverse options of shops, small markets, restaurants and bars for all kind of tastes. A great option for those who can spend more than 3 days in the island.

Everything was great, but one little detail is kind of disappointing for a hotel on this level. I am not sure of the "beachfront" booking criteria, but I'd say this hotel is an "oceanview" or "very close to the beach" category. For me a beachfront room means that they are directly on the beach. In Makris case, you don't have access neither beach services. You have to cross the street and if you want, pay a private beach service from another supplier. Just to make things clear.

Our room was modern, spacious and very clean. We got a room with a hot tub, a large private terrace with 2 beanbag sunbeds, umbrella, a table and two chairs. We watched the sunrise from there, sunbathed during the day and watched the stars at night which was lovely. In the bathroom we had two showers next to each other with plenty of hot water. At night we closed the balcony doors and put on the air con and it was relatively quiet and cool. Bed was comfortable. Housekeepers cleaned our room every day and put fresh towels for us. Breakfast was very basic: they had fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, bacon, small sausages, bread, cereal, coffee and orange juice.

The area where hotel is located is busy and noisy, you can't hear the sound of the waves because of the loud music they play at the bar downstairs and the beach from 8am till about midnight. The ironing board was tiny and it was torture trying to iron the clothes on it, so pack clothes with wrinkle free fabrics. The room didn't have enough storage space or proper full length wardrobe to hang my beautiful full length dresses so it was difficult to find a place to hang them. The don't give you a "do no disturb" sign for your door like every other hotel I have been to in my life.

Makros Beach Hotel: A Santorini Gem Our stay at Makros Beach Hotel in Kamari was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm and genuine hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction throughout our entire trip. Our room was impeccably clean every day, and the fresh towels were a lovely touch. The hotel's convenient airport transfer and rental car services made our arrival and exploration of the island effortless. Breakfast at Prince restaurant was a delightful experience with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. We can't say enough about the amazing staff! Their friendliness and helpfulness truly made our stay unforgettable. Overall, we highly recommend Makros Beach Hotel for an exceptional Santorini getaway. Early checkout very long wait to flight

The hotel was exactly as the photos show. Very clean, great decor looked like everything was new. Fantastic location, beach front, no noisy neighbours. The restaurant food is very good. All the staff were friendly & very helpful. A special thank you to breakfast & waiting staff Rea & Eugene, who chatted with us daily, making us feel very welcome. Receptionist Maria, thank you for your help & thanks to housekeeping, Jana, who serviced our room daily. We had such a great time, and we would highly recommend it.

On check out day, we had an evening flight. There is storage for cases & a toilet to use, but access to a shower would have been nice.

Our stay at Makris Beach Hotel was exceptional. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with a gorgeous and spacious room that was impeccably clean. The service was top-notch, with incredibly friendly staff who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. A special mention to the breakfast - it was served right in our room and offered a diverse and delicious selection each morning. The location of the hotel is perfect for beach lovers, as it is situated right by the beach. Overall, our experience at Makris Beach Hotel was wonderful, and we will definitely be back for another stay. Highly recommended!!

The view & service was good, nearly always someone on reception to help. Great selection of lighting in the room. Good water pressure from the rain shower. Friendly staff.

Noise from neighbours hot tubs, when the jets are activated the pipes and running water are quite loud in the walls. Lack of storage in the room for 2 suitcases worth of clothes. Ordered a transfer through reception, but it was €10 more than using booking.com

Great location of the hotel, helpful & friendly staff. Ladies were amazing - I have arrived to the hotel at midnight due to issues at the airport passport check, I was really worried at first as check in is only u til 10pm but they accommodate me and waited for my arrival.

My room was on ground floor with the window into the street so it felt slightly uncomfortable as I was a solo traveller (out of the season) but I'm sure I wouldn't mind if I was with friends. It would be great if there was some kind of fence so people passing by would not see into the front porch.
