The location of this hotel is perfect. Close to the beach, close to the port, bus and taxi rank, short walk into Skopelos old town(about 400-500m) but most importantly as we had 3 generations with us ranging from 87-16years old this hotel is on the flat and everything locally is easily accessible. There are so many restaurants and bars locally it has been a feast of flavours. Local buses and taxis are so easy, cheap, reliable and comfortable. The large fridge in each room was very welcome and the beds are very comfortable. The Aircon is powerful, fully controllable and quiet on silent mode, to make the stay very pleasant for all ages.

It was all fab. The bar shown in the photos of the hotel was not open but that didn't matter one bit, as the local bars are fabulous.

Very friendly and helpful staff are always available. High level of cleanliness with option to have room cleaned each day. Large family suite. The size of the rooms was excellent. Excellent air conditioning. Nice balconies to sit on. Large master bed, probably king size. Nice pool area. Really close to the main action of Skopelos Town and the Port. Ability to hold luggage if needed before checkin/after check out.

The bed was too soft for my liking. Unfortunately as non smokers, the smokers in an adjacent room led to smoke entering our children's room. However the staff were very helpful in trying to resolve this by communicating with the other people.

This hotel is located only a few minutes walk from the harbour, and on a flat road! Great when travelling with a toddler and pushchair. Supermarket, taverna and the port drop off point only minutes away. Lovely staff. Easy check in. Room was comfy and clean. Large comfy bed. Fridge and coffee facilities. Great aircon. We were able to keep our pushchair in a storage room downstairs too. We used the pool area a couple of times, small pool for toddler was handy. Pool towels provided. Continental breakfast had a nice selection. Skopelos was as lovely as we remembered.

Deceptively large hotel. Lovely big reception area with many nooks to read or play games. Pool was surprisingly deep (don’t normally find that these days) but there’s a paddle area for kids. Food and drinks available by the pool and the staff were present and friendly. Very big room fridge.

I guess our particular room was small but if we were to have stayed longer and fully utilised the ample storage in the room it would have been more than enough for a base camp. Breakfast eggs were scrambled with bacon (which I loved) but my partner was vegetarian so couldn’t enjoy them - I do think that the staff would probably have made her something if she had asked though. Some would describe the rooms as dated but I’d say they have character that new hotels lack. No iron but I’m sure the hotel had one if needed.

Aside from the great location that was near the port, literally a 5 min walk, the hotel was beautiful, clean and very spacious. We have stayed in other hotels where the bathroom was tiny but the Amalia Hotel was very comfortable and roomy. They have really comfortable beds and they have new AC wall units that worked great and made our stay very pleasant. They really maintain their facility very nicely. That typically is enough but their staff was exceptionally kind and accommodating. Alexandra and the various staff that we interacted with were incredibly nice and helpful. They all spoke English well and were patient with my broken Greek. They even helped us with dinner plans at a great restaurant called Tu Dimitrio and they were kind enough to call us a taxi that picked us up right in front of the hotel when we wanted to go to the beach. Their breakfast was also really delicious and overall, it was one of the best family hotel stays that we have had. We would definitely come back as Skopelos is a beautiful Greek island and the people mirror the beauty in their kindness. Thank you Alexandra for such a wonderful stay! Hope to see you all again.

Nothing, everything honestly was wonderful.

According to the young man at the front desk, it's newly remodeled, and it shows. Everything is very clean and in good working order - the in-room air conditioning is also highly effective in the summer heat, and the exterior blackout shades are awesome for keeping the rooms dark in the early morning sunshine. The morning breakfast buffet is extensive and tasty. The staff was exceptionally helpful and gracious. The location is hard to beat - only a few hundred meters from the ferries, but offset enough from the densest area of town to be in a quieter spot. There's also a supermarket directly across the street, a few rental car places within a short walk for getting cars to explore the island, and a lot of great restaurants close by. Finally, the cost was very reasonable. I will stay here again the next time I'm in Skopelos.

The chime for the elevators was a little loud in a room near the elevator, but that's sort of a nit pick.

Charming, friendly & helpful front-desk staff. Alexandra was very welcoming & friendly and Nana (via booking.com messaging system) was also very helpful, directing us to book a Mamma Mia tour with a local company only 5mins away. Ideal location 5min walk from Skopelos ferry terminal & eating establishments. Supermarket, cafe, fruit shop across the road. Nice pool, towels provided. Relaxed atmosphere in a renovated older hotel.

Wi-fi was hit and miss, regularly cutting out and requiring log-in frequently. Balcony overlooked repair shop in back lane.

Another year and more improvements! -I love that there is now elevator access -There is branding on a towel! -Wooden do not disturb signs (though they have a slight tendency to fall off the door handle) -Towel holder on the balcony -Comfortable bed and pillows, I slept well -Aircon worked with no issues -Good to see everyone again, the new staff are nice! I entered Skopelos extremely stressed and burnt out - but I left feeling much better afterwards. This hotel is the best.

Amazing hotel - exactly what I was looking for! Perfect location - close to the port, close to town and opposite a supermarkt. Clean, safe and gorgeous (and quiet!) pools! The staff were lovely, the room was gorgeous - loved that there was a fridge, and a massive bed too! I will 100% stay here again and recommend to others!

Being very picky but the do not disturb signs are made of wood so fell off the door handle every time - could do with a hook on or near the outside of the door to hang it on.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Amalia. We were on holiday as a group of 3 friends who meet somewhere every year as we live in different countries. 2 of us stayed for 10 days, and 1 stayed for 7 days. Everything about Amalia was excellent. From the minute we arrived, we felt at home. The hotel is a beautiful, family run place, spotlessly clean, the staff are all wonderful, kind and fun people who go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay. We spent a lot of time talking to the staff and getting to know them and really enjoyed their company. The breakfast is great (the olive bread was a particular hit with us), Kostas is a fabulous bartender and makes the most amazing cocktails - catered to your individual taste and preference. The pool area is very relaxing, with good music and at the right volume. The hotel location is perfect…. A 10 minute walk into Skopelos town and heaps of beautiful restaurants close by. We can’t recommend Amalia more highly and couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more than we did. It’s a very special place, with very special people. We didn’t want to leave and will definitely return.
