Location was great, very central. Lovely hotel with all mod cons. Even had a gym, though it was tiny. Fantastic views from the roof terrace. I got a really good price as we were staying out of season. Breakfast was included and that's in the roof restaurant, so you get the amazing views looking out to sea. Really nice big reception area that gives you somewhere to hang out if you have a bit of a wait after you've checked out. We were able to move our checkout time to an hour later for no extra charge, which was handy.

Dinner was expensive, so we only ate dinner there once. But the food was good.

Breakfast was variable - Depends on the time one turns up for breakfast. Nevertheless, it was okay.

Some noise in the gym, which was just next to my room. Early risers who probably didn't realise that running on the threadmill at about 6am was a nuisance for me. Gladly the gentleman at the reception said there's meant to be a time restriction on use of the gym. Sadly there's no notice to that effect. I bet it's been sorted.

The rooftop restaurant serves a breakfast buffet with a great assortment of delicious choices. The panorama windows and spacious terrace offer fantastic views of the city and the icebergs floating by in Disko Bay.

Obviously every hotel has a ground floor and first floor where the view is less than fantastic, but I'd be very unhappy if I paid a premium price for a modern hotel showing panoramic views on their website and I got stuck with a lower-floor room looking out to the gravel parking lot or neighbouring abandoned shacks. We were on the 2nd floor with a view to 3 such houses and could just peek above the rooftops to glimpse the iceberg-filled bay. It was acceptable but certainly not what we had hoped for.

We were told no rooms have double beds. Our room had 2 single beds. Although we could push them together and the mattresses were comfortable, there wasn’t a foam bridge and no king-sized sheets were provided. For a couple, it is not fun to end up in the gap between the beds! Would be very good if this hotel invested in the foam bridge and sheets to make couples comfortable.

The location was ideal for everything we wanted to do for our 5 days in Ilulissat! The Staff couldn’t be nicer and more helpful. Breakfast with the most amazing view was lovely! We also very much appreciated having access to the fitness room!

The room was a little small but it really wasn’t that big a deal. Without a closet, we could’ve used more wall hooks to hang our clothes and gear.

This is a recently build, modern hotel which is great plus. The view from the rooftop restaurant when eating breakfast or dinner is stunning. Beware however and check the "cons"...

Watch out what kind of room you are reserving. I had 2 separate reservations. One was cheaper and one was far more expensive. This is the first time in my life when I wanted to downgrade! The window and view from the cheaper room was far more superior than from the more expensive room. I felt very disappointed for paying more and getting less. I've uploaded the photos of "windows" for you to understand. Unfortunately the hotel staff said "this is how it is and we cannot help you". This is very disappointing for this price tag. Honestly I don't know if I would pickup this hotel again.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional especially John and Grace in the restaurant. Thea baked amazing gluten free bread and cookies. Vivio was friendly and excellent member of house keeping staff. The reception staff were very helpful and accommodating. The breakfasts and dinner menu delicious!

Hotel Ilulissat is not only physically emerges from the city but by standards of comfort as well. This hotel is very comfortable, clean, well equipped compared to other hotels not only in Greenland but anywhere in the world. The rooftop bar provides unimaginable view to the city and to the icebergs passing by the bay of Ilulissat. The room is clean, comfortable and spacious. The bathroom is also clean and well equipped. WiFi, USB charging is available.

They said they provide the best breakfast in Greenland which might be an exaggeration.

Weird behavior during breakfast - when breakfast finish hour is approaching they simply tell you to leave, cause prep for lunch starts. So you cannot stay and enjoy your coffee or else. Staff is collecting food already half an hour before breakfast ends and general impression of disorganization is present. Rooms are very tiny, but have all that is needed. Cleaning was unpredictable, sometimes it happened and sometimes not even if explicitly requested with the door sign.

The location is very good. Next to 2 supermarkets, and there are quite a few food options in the vicinity. The hotel staff are helpful in providing information. The free shuttle service to the airport was very helpful. We love the view of the bay from the roof top where we have our breakfast.
