Staff was really friendly and service orientated. They all spoke English and Cantonese. Hotel is next to the beach. Room was tidy, atmospheric, shower worked well. (Need to put hot water heater on before taking the shower 5-10min). Location is roughly 1ml/1.5km from the main pier. But location is much more quite than the pier area, where most of the restaraunts and pubs are. Hotel has decent breakfast (additional payment). There's also a vegetarian option (Included eggs, beans, potato, salad, fried tomato, toast and coffee or tea.

For some people walking 1.5km from pier might feel a bit long, but it's worth it, plus you have much more quiet enviroment. Reception is open between 9am - 9pm. So know that, if you arrive at unorthodox time.

I don’t know where to start. There have been few times in my travellings that I felt so supported and appreciated like at this place. The owners/hosts were absolutely amazing and we felt at home from the first moment upon entering. The rooms are small but very well equipped (air conditioner, air purifier, high quality amenities, safe, comfortable bed, adapters). The place itself has a restaurant with delicious food, breakfast, drinks etc. The beach is nice but nothing too spectacular (though great for an escape outside of city). P. S. Westerners whould know that having a toilet seat in the same place as shower is not an odd thing for China and it can actually be quite practical.

Perfect location with the bonus of looking at a beach and a sea view. Totally quiet and had the best sleep I ever had in Hong Kong, I would loved to have stayed longer, and will definitely stay there again if I come back to Lamma Island, Very well done to all at Bayshore Inn.

The staffs are very nice and friendly. The location and the beach was superb. At first we didn't like our room as it was really small, but that's the last one in booking.com, so when we check in we immediately ask the staff if incase they have a better bigger room and we wouldn't mind paying extra. The staff moved us to concerto inn apartment which is way bigger, on the Ground floor and even have a balcony. The breakfast is good and reasonable if you would like to gather some fuel before hiking or swimming.

There was a hair on the sink and the urinal is not that clean. Also, it would be great if the hotel could provide a hard drive of with movies in it for rent, to use on the tv. Cause we arrived at a bad weather and the tv couldn't get a signal and the internet connection is poor as well, and even on the good days we find it nothing to do at night once we come home when the bars are close. It would be great as extra income for the hotel and as well as the "option" for entertainment for those guests that aren't really into the party lifestyle and would rather stay at home at night, watch movies, listen to the waves and experience the village life or island life.

Great natural setting and nice atmosphere to relax over a weekend. Close enough to the village but in a quiet hidden corner surrounded by nature.

The view of the power plant takes away quite a bit of the natural charm. The AC compressor of the room was quite noisy during the night and the internet connection a bit slow (understandably being on an island)

Its a 15-20 minute walk into town but I did lose a lot of weight during my stay walking into town so every cloud has a silver lining!

Clean and right next to a clean beach. Perfect for children to play.

A bit of a walk from the main town. Not a problem if you don’t have younger children.

The staff are very welcoming and friendly, from the front desk to the cleaners-- genuine feeling of hospitality, rather than "expecting tips". I loved being able to sit in the restaurant by the beach and watch my kids play in the sand while I had a "mocktail!" You can borrow beach towels freely from the front desk. The rooms are small-- just enough room to scoot around a double bed-- but good for 2 people (e.g. a parent and a child). The bed was soft (but not too soft), clean and comfortable. Our friend stayed with herself and 2 children in the next-door "Concerto Inn" which has "apartments" large enough to get in an extra bed. There is a "beachhouse" feel to it, but a nice cedar-wood place to rinse feet and lightly shower before going into the building, and the bathroom and shower were clean and well-built (good, solid fixtures). They are located on the "Family Walk" trail so you can easily go back to town to pick up goodies, or walk to Lamma Wind, or keep walking along the trail to the next beach. The beach water is especially nice for kids at low tide--- long way to walk before it gets deep.
