Lovely location. Cute wood cabin, even had Christmas lights in the windows!

No control over temperature inside, way too hot like a sauna (in December). Sleeps 7 people but frying pan was the smallest one person thing I've ever seen. Real lack of anything to cook with (mixing bowl to scramble eggs for 6 of us as the frying was tiny) Only 1 plug in kitchen so either kettle, microwave or toaster but only one at a time. Light on outside decking has no off switch so northern light watching is affected! Easier in the dark! Space between shower and wall where the toilet is simply isn't big enough, we aren't all child size and this made things extremely difficult for the adults.

Very quiet area with cute cabins. Nice and dark, away from the city so it was an amazing place to see the northern lights.

We arrived late, with no phone number, and couldn’t get into our cabin because we did know which one it was. We were not sent an email with instructions, as the booking said we would be. We had to knock on someone’s door who had a phone, but the office did not pick up. Fortunately the person had a way to text the office staff who told us which cabin to go to. It was not a great start, but once settled in we loved the place. The cabin was very hot, but the when requested, the staff could use an app to turn the heat down.

This place turned out to be better than I expected—The cottage was perfect for our group of six, with bunk beds that gave it a fun, laid-back feel. It’s a great pit stop between long drives, ideally located near Foss á Síðu and Fossálar Waterfall, and not too far from Fjaðrárgljúfur or the Gönguleið um Eldhraun moss field. Being so close to these amazing spots made exploring Iceland’s south coast easy and enjoyable—a solid base for our road trip!

Just a couple of small suggestions. The kitchen is useful, but there’s no hood. Also, with only one bathroom for six people, it was a little tough to manage—something to note for groups like ours.

We were a group of 3 adults. The cabin was large enough for our party but I admit if you have a larger group it may get a bit tight. It has 2 bedrooms with bunk beds and a mezzanine with 2 extra single beds. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious enough. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you may need to cook your own meals. The living room was also spacious enough for us. The bathroom was clean but a little bit small (as every other place we stayed in Iceland). The location is also very convenient, right on the face of the ring road so it is a nice base for south exploring. Overall I found this a perfect place to stay.

Location for travelling the ring road. Easy to find. The cottage was clean and exactly as shown. Kitchen was well equipped. Front deck looked very inviting but unfortunately we were unable to use because of the midges.

The beds for seniors were uncomfortable. The lower bunks are not really wide enough to fit two adults. It was unusually hot during our stay and we didn’t feel the air conditioner was working. Opening the windows let in a lot of the small flies.

Beautiful place in the countryside just next to a cliff. The cabin is spacious and has a decent kitchen with everything you need to cook warm food. Large common area in the cabin allows you to hang our with your friends. The nearest grocery store is far away but this is to be expected in the countryside. You just need to stock up on the way. It is located next to the A1 road which makes it a perfect rest stop when you're touring the southern coast of Iceland.

The cottage was very nice, wooden and quite new looking. Very pleasant vibe. Rather suitable for friends than couples (no double beds, at least in the cottage we rented). The kitchen was well equipped. There was a terrace and nice views. Everything was clean and overall we liked the place a lot.

The biggest problem was a broken shower (the temperature was stuck at 50°C) and a part was missing, so it didn't seem as a completely new error. We were staying only for 1 night, so there wasn't really any chance for fixing it and there was also no other free cabin. The second minus is for the beds. The stairs leading to the top floor with 2 beds didn't feel very safe. One of the bunk beds didn't have any rails on the side and the other was missing one step on the ladder. Also, the mattresses were quite uncomfortable. Luckily we were tired enough. :D

A nice and spacious cottage. We were traveling in winter, there was a lot of snow, but this is a great place to explore the south coast. Before traveling, I had read the negative comments by other people, but many of them appear exaggerated. Or maybe these issues have been improved.

The heating of the 'living room' was not adequate. It is done by an AC, fixed at 23°, but it is located under the roof and only heats the upper floor, not the kitchen/living room area, which felt more like 16°. Other people must have complained about that, because the owners have put up a sign that they would not change the temperature setting. The beds were not great, but not nearly as bad as some commenters have described. The bedrooms and bathroom have their own heating, which worked great. Kitchen equipement was a bit spartanic, but sufficient for us.

These are lovely cottages with a light a comfortable living/kitchen area. The beds were comfortable and all was clean. It is just a short drive to a number of natural wonders and a great restaurant in Klauster

My small complaints are that the soap container was empty at the bathroom sink, there was no teabags (which every other place offers) and two pillow cases had broken zippers. We were bothered by tiny little tickling insects in bed one night and black flies the next. Probably cannot blame the cottages for this but FYI.

Nice, cozy and beautiful cottage, could see aurora behind the mountain during our stay. The surrounding is so beautiful. Kitchen have all the necessities, we cook there without any problem. Hot water functioning very well. The attic was very warm and cozy. The cottage is big enough for 3 of us, each one of us get our own personal room. Wifi work very well.

Initially when we checked in, its quite cold but after some times, the cottage getting warmer. We had a good night sleep there. Small bathroom but its okay, we just stay there for a night.
