The cafe on site has a variety of good food and the best hot chocolate- dark, thick, smooth and tastes of vanilla. The location is perfect - right on the beach, where I was alone at 9am, apart from the birds, a small crab and a dog. Swimming at sunset is special and the water is really warm (December). Staff were friendly and Josh is especially good for information. The board with essential info included 'Go Paddle' kayak & small country boat trips up narrow backwater canals, which are very worth getting up early for. It felt very safe as people look out for others (left my purse there for three hours, which someone recognised and I picked up later). The easy-going company and information exchange with other travellers is a definite plus. Recommended by someone in Ernakulam, it did not disappoint.

It would be useful to be told the locker procedure (in the rooms) as I was slow to realise!

The personnel, the host, the amazing people here made me feel extremely welcome. With it's location right at the beach I would recommend this hostel to everyone. I personally stayed in both the dorms and a private room and both are great value for money. So just to recap: great people, great atmosphere, good WiFi and workspace, and some beautiful little spots to explore around.

The property is really beautiful, and the best part is that it is right at the beach. It has beautiful cafes next to it. Plus it has really green plants and trees in it. I had a great time staying there, even though it was just for one day, it was amazing. They also have a cat, which is extremely cute by the name. Pooch and the hostel owner is really cool. It’s really fun. It was really warm and nice and comfortable over there. Hundred percent recommended to all solo travellers.

This hostel is just next to the beach and it has good views. Stayed in this hostel for a week and place has pretty good vibe!! Dorms are having AC, clean sheets, good bedding and hygiene is maintained. This property is run by Josh and he make sures all guests are comfortable at any given time. Also it has in house cafe and Dwip bhaiyya serves tasty food. Support staffs Ujjal and Tina are keeping the place bright and clean. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to explore beautiful Alleppey!!

Beautiful location, right across the beach; helpful and polite staff; the dorm and washroom were clean and well maintained; comfortable beds; a nice, spacious common area; an in-house Cafe with good food. Everyone was very friendly and the place had an overall positive, welcoming vibe. Would strongly recommend!

The power outlet attached to the bed wasn't working; too many mosquitoes in the common area, would suggest travellers to keep some mosquito repellent handy.

It has been a great experience while staying at Zostel Alleppey. The property is at perfect location which is just 10mtrs from beach. Owner is a fantastic host and ensures to suggest food joints, things to do etc. He makes an effort to connect people who have come as solo and as well as in group. In terms of cleanliness, the rooms and washrooms are cleaned twice a day to ensure hygiene. This is my first zostel experience and I was little skeptical at the time of making a booking for a mixed dorm. However, after staying here for a month, I can bet on the safety during stay at this place. Owner makes sure that the guests are safe and feel connected here. The vibe at this place is pretty cool and I have connected with lot of people who stayed here. Looking forward to coming back again and staying at Zostel Alleppey ❤️
