As we were coming to the end of our trip to India we decided to opt for the presidential suite and it turned out to be the best accommodation we had on our holiday. The suite is huge and furnished beautifully. Chandigarh is a fascinating city from an architectural perspective and there are many good bars and restaurants in walking distance of the hotel. Pashtun is an excellent authentic Indian restaurant. Some reviews have criticised friendliness of staff, but we had no such issues, they were kind and friendly.

A mini fridge on the suite would have topped things off perfectly

Beautiful hotel. Communal area and room are beautifully presented. The decor is well thought out. Bathroom is gorgeous with good shower and toiletries. Water and biscuits provided on arrival, as well as tea and coffee facilities. Comfortable and quiet room with good space. We liked it so much, we booked an extra stay as we passed back through Chandigarh as few days later. Within 15mins walk you can access some restaurants, ATM, cafes and chain fast food. Restaurant next door was lovely, otherwise you can access taxis for elsewhere in the city.

Whilst we struggled to find somewhere in the city to get our laundry done, we used the hotel in the end, but this was expensive and a couple of thicker items were still a little damp - although it was clean. Room could benefit from hairdryer.

During my stay at the cozy boutique hotel, I was thoroughly impressed by the overall experience. The hotel exuded charm and warmth, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment I arrived. The staff was exceptionally responsive and attentive, ensuring that all my needs were met promptly and with a smile. The rooms were tastefully decorated, blending modern amenities with a homely touch that made me feel right at home. The hotel's convenient location allowed easy access to nearby attractions, adding to the convenience of my stay. Overall, the combination of the inviting ambiance and outstanding service made for a memorable and delightful experience.

The staff were very helpful with my requests and the rooms were more spacious than I expected. There is freshly bottled filtered water available at your request. The showers were hot and had great water pressure. It was great value for money and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay on both occasions. I had no trouble requesting Ubers from here. There are ATMs within a 200m walk as well as a couple of good food options.

Our stay at the Kaptain's Retreat exceeded our expectations. The entire hotel including our room was spanking clean. The interiors were done in an elegant fashion. The staff was courteous and did their best to make our stay comfortable. The hotel doesn't have a kitchen but you can order food from a nearby cafe which will be delivered to your room.

Lovely hotel, dedicated to the cricket theme, with some nice and old pieces of furniture. Very characteristic place. The Staff is very kind, the room and bathroom are big and well serviced. Good functioning WiFi and TV connected to netflix, prime etc.

All great, only one suggestion to improve the number and position of sockets.

Lovely rooms with beautiful furniture. Good size, very comfortable. Great bathroom and shower. Lots of hot water. In short it has been one of the best places we have stayed in India and would definitely recommend it.

The rooms were really beautiful with everything we needed. They were also absolutely spotless and warm and cosy. The staff were really responsive and helpful, particularly with arranging taxis and finding our way around Chandigarh. There was a good choice of nice restaurants and cafes within a few minutes walk.

This is a very good Hotel with an old world charm. Hotel has lot of memorable photos of Kapil Dev, legendary cricket captain of India and winner of India's first world cup. Surely a treat for cricket fans. Room was spacious and clean. Location is very good with good restaurants nearby.

As the building is old, there are no lifts.

A lovely hotel in a great location. The staff were excellent and couldn't do enough to make my stay enjoyable. The room was spotlessly clean and I had a wonderful shower that I found hard to get out of. 😁 I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to others and I would definitely stay here again.
