Mr Singh and his staff were incredibly helpful and thank you for all your support. The hotel is well placed for seeing the fort and Jaisalmer city. The room were very clean, The hotel offered a very interesting complimentary museum of the royal family. A very pleasant hotel to stay at during your visit to Jaisalmer

An intermittent blast from an extractor hood close to our bedroom, that came on several times in the early evening for a 10 minute blast up until about 8.00pm. The swimming pool steps into the pool were very dangerous. I had warned the staff on the second day that one of the steps was loose and needing repairing and on our final day another step gave way resulting in the step collapsing and me ending up with a damaged shoulder due to the fall onto the edge of the pool. Both steps should be replaced with a more sturdy construction - somebody could have a very serious accident

This is a stunning heritage property, I didn't see the other rooms but our room, the King Suite( 109) while expensive was very special. It had carved sandstone details and a lovely outlook over the garden. Great staff in the restaurant. If you are going to Jaisalmer, this property is a haven of peace and an escape from the noise.

Communication after booking some months ago from New Zealand was not good. Found that my messages on Booking.com were not replied to yet a deposit request came by a separate link immediately after booking. Have never encountered this before. Also, when you have a room as special as 109( The King's Suite), play up the beautiful Rajasthani heritage and lose the 1970's brown rose curtains. A communal area other than the pool or restaurant would be a good addition, an elegant bar or library for guests to enjoy.

The location was excellent, you share the facility with the royal family (although you do not see them); the room was clean; the food was good; the staff were excellent; and the atmosphere was royal. The rooftop restaurant for dinner was beautiful.

The shower was adequate by USA standards - low flow but enough hot water for a med-short shower, had a shower curtain. The air conditioning worked well but was somewhat noisy and the ceiling fan was noisier. The bed could be more comfortable and the bath towels could be softer, but they were similar to other very nice places we have stayed in India.

Staff is the best ever. Not only is the senior manager Mr. Bhojraj Singh extremely helpful, he is somehow always there. All the rest of the staff is wonderful. The place itself is probably the most beautiful landmark in Jaisalmer. Even though it's already a highly rated hotel, you really have to see it to believe it. Superb experience.

It's a heritage well-preserved property which can be tricky for people with mobility challenges. But the staff will go out of their way to help out.

Plenty of character with history oozing out. Actual royal abode with excellent hospitality of staff, green soothing ambience and magnificent suites. Well maintained pool but not heated so can’t access in winter

Sometimes tourists visiting the museum walk into private places as the suites are within the palace complex. This can be annoying but hotel staff to their best to prevent it. Could be better if there was a gym on site

Well preserved architecture and history is the highlight. Place is very clean, staff is courteous and helpful. View of the Jaisalmer Fort from their rooftop restaurant is awesome. There is a museum inside the hotel free for hotel guests. Definitely worth a look. Location is the highpoint as it is in the heart of the city If u r lucky u will get to speak to the members of the current royal family who stay inside the hotel. Pls ensure that u keep 3 hrs aside for a tour of the palace hotel and museum. Great photo open locations inside the hotel !! Loved it, wud definitely visit again !!

Internet sucked.. didn't get wifi for the entire duration of our stay . Apart from this our stay was extremely enjoyable .

Who could fail to love the Mandir Palace? It’s a glorious old palace, spectacular to look at, but with super comfy rooms, cosy in the heart of winter. The staff were simply fabulous, dignified but warm and friendly and sympathetic, and helped enormously with our travel problems. Location also perfect. By far the best place to stay in Jaisalmer. Will be back!

It was entirely perfect. Weather was cold but staff made sure our room was warm and cosy. Good WiFi, ample hot water, lots of covers, good breakfast.

Very good hotel, situated in a 200 year old Jaisalmer Palace. Very spacious rooms. Staff is really friendly and makes every effort to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Great rooftop dining with a la carte en buffet options; with Jaisalmer Fort views. Nice and well maintained pool. Perfect location.

Rooms are spacious but our room was very noisy; comfort of the bed could be a bit better. Buffet options during breakfast could be a bit more extensive (dinner buffet was great).

It’s a famous 4star hotel in the Golden City, located in the heart of the Jaisalmer. It has been built for over 200 years and used to be the Palace of the Royal Family. If you choose this property, you can expect to stay with the price/princess, which will definitely make feel like a part of the Royal Family. Btw, the room was neat and clean, and the museums in the property were also worthwhile to visit. And there’s a surprisingly good view from rooftop restaurant!

The swimming pool may need some cleaning and the food was good but overpriced.

In addition to my other review, I should add that it is in the prime location. Everything to see in Jaisalmer is between this hotel and the fort. It's only about 10-12 minute walk to the fort (but it will surely take longer because Jaisalmer will charm your pants off). I'll say again: excellent, excellent staff.
