The check in was smooth and quick. in fact the staff were waiting for us to come and on a couple of occasions called to check us out if we are ok. Room was good though small and beds and pillows were comfortable, the towels were good. There was a kettle to heat the water and the coffee and tea effects were sufficient for one time( u can ask for more if needed) the washroom neat & clean. The walls in the room were decked with the multicolored locally hand made tiles that was giving out a very positive vibes. There was a huge shared sitting area with chairs and coffee table for 6 over looking the road in front. The food was simple and local. We had dinner that evening and breakfast the next morning. The food was tasty and not spicy at all, may be due to the visitors coming from Europe and Americas who can not take the heat of the spices. The check out was smooth too. The team ably lead by Gokul were in attention and helpful always.

The shower head needs cleaning. The water vents i think are clogged due to the hardness of the water there. They need to clear the same with a pin to allow water to flow freely. Unfortunately the blinds covering the sitting area are broken and can not be rolled up n kept in place. So we could not enjoy the sitting area much. The most annoying thing was the flurry of messages from Booking.com informing us that we have not checked in to the property as per our booking ( while actually we did check in the same day as per our booking date) and that there would be a charge for one night due to this. It was a goof up by the booking.com team and not us.

The Chettinad Heritage is a lovely, lovely place and I'm very happy to have stayed here. My room was very, very comfortable & clean, and delightfully painted in Chettinad style. The property's just outside the main town, and is very quite & peaceful. The staff are very kind & attentive. One of the staff arranged for a local rickshaw driver, a lovely man, to take me to Athangudi Palace, the temples & rock fort at Thirumayam & also the Sri Solai Aandavar Temple in Pallathur, which made for a great morning. Also, the simple food is exceptional, possibly the best food I've eaten in South India! Thanks very much for a lovely stay 😊

I wasn't able to get hot water in my room, but I didn't need it.

Very nice and friendly staff (this is a family run business). The building is very nice, spectacular columns, many old times objects and photos that are memories of the hotel owners' ancestors. And the surroundings are great - the village of Nemathanpatti where the hotel is located is worth a walk around, it's full of other beautiful Chettinad style houses - one of the neighbours even invited us to see his 110 years old villa inside. And the hotel food is great too - make sure you try their spectacular Chicken 65 dish.

The room was a little bit small (the bed was big and comfortable but there were no chairs). Some of the power plugs in the room didn't work.

The property is located in a small, peaceful village. It's a good place to feel relaxed, just reading a book or walking around. The staff is very friendly and kind, always willing to help you. Food was also amazing. I ate breakfast and dinner, and I felt that each dish was highly elaborated.

Probably it's a bit expensive. And Wi-Fi connection was not always good, but it was ok.

Could be more professional about the amenities, like providing a face towel beside the washbasin or ensuring all bathroom amenities are replenished etc.

1. Heritage Bunglow very tastefully done and maintained very well. 2. Breakfast was outstanding with lots of variety. 3. S we ved by the boys with lots of love and care for customers.

The food was excellent. The staff were very good and accommodating. The rooms were as advertised, clean & fantastic.

The bathroom floors and lower walls could have been scrubbed better as they seemed brown in some area.

if you want to experience Chetty Naadu old traditional house it is one of the best place to go. amazing architecture and colourful place nicely preserved old with some modern comfort

I was a solo traveller they booked me in to a room with shared balcony . I messaged to check if this is safe for me they moved me to a nice big family room but did not tell me it was on 2nd floor and has no lift. it was okay for me but they did not check room windows are completely sealed and fresh air floor if AC is off
