The food was served in Chettinadu Mansion. Every time a Royal Electric Buggy was waiting for us at Chettinadu Court to ferry us to and fro. The breakfast was mostly ethnic, as we had wanted. It was awesome. We savoured new dishes, all mouth watering, every day. Served in a royal hall of a royal mansion by stylishly dressed servers who were more than eager to fill us to the brim. Our dinners too had the same story. We really felt like a part of Royalty. Many of the places of interest were within walkable distance. A trip to the vicinity gave a real feel of Chettinadu heritage. It is very strategically and conveniently located. At the reporting time, the madam at the reception gave us very very useful tourist information and even chalked out our two days' travel itinerary according to our convenience and interest. That helped us easily move around and cover all the sighseeing places as those fell within 18 Kms of radius. The rooms' comfort, the service, the ambience, the lush green lawn alive with a number of ducks and the rabbits made the environment so lively.

The parking space for vehicle was very limited. Lodging for the drivers needs improvement.

Kavita the receptionist was simply the best of her kind: welcoming, friendly, informative, inquisitive with a heartwarming life story too. The place itself was charming. Large, clean and comfortable room. Breakfast in nearby Chettinadu Mansion was ample and good, as was dinner there too. Kanadukathan is a fabulous and unique place in India with its magnificent Chettinadu mansions. An oasis of calm from normal hectic India.

The swimming pool is quite some distance from Chettinadu Court and was out of action when we were there. The manager at Chettinadu Mansion insisted it was usable, but it most definitely wasn't.

Massive room and bathroom that was maintained very well. Tea and coffee kits were provided in the room. Other than that, you would have to walk or drive to their main property - the Chettinad Mansion for their cafeteria etc. The staff were extremely friendly and hospitality was top notch.

The restaurant is located about 200m away in a different property. It’s not a big deal but could be challenging if you’re travelling with young kids or seniors.

Very comfortable room, nice location, in beatifull green garden. Lady at reception very helpfull in organizing our trips in surrounding area by taxi and transport to our next destination, Madurai. And I loved the swimmingpool, it's not in Chettinadu court, but nearby, 15 minutes walking. A must to survive the hottest hours of the day,

Breakfast and diner is in Chettinadu Mansion, a colourfull old palace, with fantastic athmosphere , 10 minutes walking from the court. . No problem for us. Dinner could be better. Not really spicy, no boneless chicken.

We had a very pleasant 2 night stay in Chettinadu Court, a modern development set around a very relaxing garden. Room was very spacious and clean. Manager was excellent, helping us out with problems with our booking (entirely our fault) and arranging autos and taxis for us. She also arranged dinner for us in sister establishment- Chettinadu Mansion. Great location in village.

Lunch and Dinner provided at Chettinadu Mansion and not at Chettinadu court.Also Chettinadu Mansion and court are owned by the same group, could have been mentioned on booking.

A serene place in a courteous atmosphere , sumptuous food filled with love. We thoroughly enjoyed their culture which had the real chettinad flair written all over . Recommended place for couples , family and students. We were in awe of witnessing Heritage houses , palaces , fort and museums.

Room , clear guidance on what can be done or seen in the area. Helpful staff.

Inwould have loved the breakfast in this property. For all the meals, you need to walk to their another property which is not easiest with a little kid
