Located 5 min away from Howrah bridge this hotel has an interesting design. Room was basic and a bit dated but clean and AC was working well. The shower was incredible but there was no hair dryer. There were 2 weddings/celebrations going on when I stayed there and some people would claim it was noisy. Staff were very nice and helpful.

The surrounding areas of the hotel are not the nicest although I went for a walk at night and it was perfectly safe. I chose this hotel because I had a train on the next morning at 5:50 AM and it was very convenient. The shared taxi to Howrah junction was 100 rupees and it was impossible for the hotel staff to get be me a taxi/uber for myself at 5:00 Am Like most hotels in the world, they still don’t provide mini USB ports. Common we are in 2024 and most mobile phones use that nowadays! In my opinion this hotel falls under the 3* category

It is a nice hotel on the river, very beautifully designed. Overally, we liked our stay there and would probably recommend this place to others/or probably come back again (and request a different room). Breakfast was very good.

We were not very satisfied by the room we were given. The room was very dark and we even could not open the window, because the window was on the first floor in front of the stairs, so everything could be visible by the guests from outside. The toilet in the room did not work. We think we paid for a better quality room, and were given another one upon our arrival. It was a bit expensive.

I was there the day before the start of the 2025 IPL for four days and had a great time throughout. Everything in the hotel runs like clockwork and professionally. From the check in, to room service, housekeeping and the dining. Even the valet parking was commendable. Special callout to Arindam Chakraborty in the restaurant and Srabanti and Akash at the reception.

Staff were very helpful. Hotel had lots of character. The omelette for breakfast was good! It was great to watch the river traffic - from freighters and ferries to small boats.

Breakfast choice was limited compared to other hotels we stayed at. In the morning our window (river-facing) was covered with condensation so we couldn't see much. Bathroom was not very clean, and we could not get hot water from the shower. We also could not get internet through the wi-fi, or get any channels on the TV.

Super interesting and good designed hotel. Amazing location at the Hooghly river in Kolkata historical area. Rooftop restaurant with panoramic view of river, boats, Howrah and Vidyasagar bridges from AC hall or opem terrace and the bar exceeded our expectations. Food in restaurant was delicious and included breakfast was abundant. Special thanks to friendly and helpful staff, and receptionist Tannu Rohit.

This was my second visit to Polo Floatel and this time I ate in the restaurant for dinner after a complimentary cocktail in the roof bar enjoying sunset. The buffet was excellent and service impeccable.

I had to ring to find out why I had no hot water but it turned out I had inadvertently turned it off. A label would be nice.

I like the way everything organized so well & special thanks to Danish and Suman they both are so cooperative throughout the process. Hope to visit soon with my family and enjoy the environment more often.

When I reached, I am already late but the room is not décor that time also and I recommended to put scented candles they said yes but not put them also ask the same with the house keeping team but they haven't respond back but everything is worthy enough to praise.

Excellent service and great location (especially if you are traveling to the Eden Gardens) with a old-world charm at this floating hotel with some stunning views of the Howrah bridge. Particularly appreciate the services of Tannu at the front desk who was quick, efficient and ever smiling. Really liked the stay!

Professional courteous and helpful staff, specially Joydeep, Manisha and Tannu from the reception and also all the security staff. Excellent view of the Hooghly river and short taxi drive to all major tourist attractions

Food at the restaurant is a tad over priced and would have preferred many more Bengali cuisine dishes on the menu

The upper deck restaurant has a lovely view of the river. In the public areas the aging patina gives charm but the room was modern and spotless.
