I was visiting my parents in Kolkata and our house was filled with guests and other family so I decided to book a room at Roland which is close to my parent's apartment. I found Roland Hotel good value for my money. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom clean and the shower had great water pressure. The Wifi wasn't working the weekend I stayed which was unfortunate as I had network issues on my phone within the hotel. The TV was a smart TV with a cable box hooked up so that is great (especially when the Wifi works). The breakfast was tasty and the spread was basic which makes sense for the price point. The location is actually pretty great for anyone who finds Park Street or Park Street adjacent hotels overpriced. The staff was supportive. Overall, I am happy to find a hotel that I could house some of my guests in when my Kolkata home fills up and feel safe that they would be comfortable in it.

Each and each every member of Roland Hotel , kind , caring , thoughtful , support me organisation the skill requiring in India from there in the Hotel, Welcoming is a start there is no end to ask. I had delayed flight from London ,so it longer time for my body . I arrived safe and comfort like home. after reseted stay the first day was excellent ,joyful with all members , they. supported me getting an India sim phone card the next I was visiting Mother house they show the correct way of transport the same day , My body was taken the long jetlag , The next day I stay in there for rest ,they noticed I am unwell ,they made sure I took good food in time the cooked fresh and even for correct medicine the I took in time front desk is excellent kind ,gently, They made me fit by evening here I am typing they our humble and caring, Clean and food excellent , in 30 years of My having my visit to Calcutta the organisation is lead by GM Leads with quality service with strong positive bond happy stay which Role is Role for all customers I come again from England still Calcutta has warm charming people Of Bengal inborn You stay here you know Calcutta I can not say more , come enjoying the Stay in Roland Hotel Michael 🌈🎉👍😂🙏🏻

Pretty Nice Stay at Roland Hotel. The Room was Good enough size along with Bathroom and Wardrobe. They Have a Shower area in the washroom which is clean and they also have a Mini Bar Fridge in the Room which is filled with extra water and soft drinks to have at your discretion but they are payable. The Most Amazing part of the stay here was the included free breakfast which was Fabulous and Exactly the right amount of Items for a Travellers Moving Routine. Overall i would recommend this Hotel with a Rating of 4 out of 6 Stars

There was not anything to dislike

Excellent breakfast - liked the fact that the breakfast varied daily. Very courteous staff who promptly attended to any requests and sorted issues I had. The rooms were clean.

The rooms could have done with a bit of maintenance - there were calcium deposits on the tap and other fittings that made them look dirty; there were exposed wires in the bathroom

Clean room and bathroom. The staffs were friendly as well. Its a quiet neighborhood and walkable to the nearest bus stand. Hotel is around 300 meters away from Minto park.

The hotel sent me to a nearby property called "Emerald Suits". Although I booked for Roland hotel they said my booking is for the emerald suits which is a guest house part of their hotel few meters down the road. Apparently guests are not allowed here which is strange. I booked for 1 room and on booking.com it was mentioned 1 room - 2 people but while checking In they note down the number of guests. So bringing someone later is frowned upon.

I really loved the service of Manager Meghna and also the care taker at the emerald suites. It was truly a relaxing and beautiful and easy time and experience I had with this amazing place. Clean room and toilet. Comfortable bed, pillows and blanket. Humongous TV with all the channels you can ask for. Just truly amazed.

It would have been nice to have 2 chairs in the room instead of one. Otherwise everything was great!

Things I liked about this property were the excellent location, hospitable staff, value for money and most important of all - the one and only Babu bhaiya, who would go beyond the call of duty to make my stay as comfortable as can be. Of I had any problem during my stay, I could make a request at any time to him and he would immediately do the needful and always with a smile. Hats off to him and all the other staff (front desk, security, etc) as well… as this is one place where the hotel team is exemplary in its customer service.

The property needs a bit of renewal as wear and tear is catching up as time passes

Babu the caretaker was very helpful throughout. Nothing was too much trouble! What a great guy. Friendly and hospitable.

Amazing hotel , we higlhy recommend!! Big, confortable and clean room with a really pretty bathroom (shower was really nice with hot water). Great location in a quite neighborhood and near the public transportation. Babu, the Emerald Suites responsible, was really helpfull and kind with us !! Thank you !

I recently visited n stayed roland hotel and had a fantastic experience. The staff, especially was incredibly helpful throughout my visit. The customer service was top-notch, and I felt well taken care of from start to finish. I highly recommend Roland hotel to anyone in need of smoothness and peacefull visit, helpful staff, and an overall wonderful staying experience.
