Staying at The Westin Kolkata was a fantastic experience, and the service from the staff truly made it exceptional. I especially want to recognize a few standout employees who went above and beyond. “Gitanjali Kumari” from the in-room dining team was incredibly kind and efficient. She ensured my orders were always perfect and delivered with a smile, making every meal a pleasure. Similarly, Biswajit Das was a great help throughout my stay, Gitanjali’s professionalism and warm demeanor made a real difference. The hotel itself is beautiful, with comfortable rooms and top-notch amenities, but it's the dedicated team members like Gitanjali and Biswajit who make a stay here truly memorable. Their hard work and positive attitudes reflect a commitment to excellent customer service. I highly recommend this hotel, especially if you appreciate a staff that makes you feel genuinely welcome.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Westin Rajarhat Kolkata, and it was an experience that exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, the sophisticated ambiance and modern design captured my attention. The lobby is grand and welcoming, with an aesthetic that blends contemporary elegance with local charm. The rooms at The Westin are spacious and well-appointed. My room featured plush bedding, a modern bathroom with all the necessary amenities, and a beautiful view of the surrounding area. The service at The Westin was exceptional. The staff were incredibly warm, friendly, and professional. From the check-in process to the concierge services, they went out of their way to ensure I had a comfortable stay. Special mention to the housekeeping team, who maintained my room immaculately throughout my stay.

Location: The hotel is located in one of the most picturesque neighborhoods of Kolkata city just near the Eco park. View: We stayed in the 25th floor room with an amazing view below consisting of lake and the eco park. Room: The room was large enough with all facilities. They also provided cot for my baby. The bedding was very comfortable. The bath area with bathtub and walking shower were clean and beautiful with good hygiene maintained. Shampoo,conditioner and body wash along with good lotion were provided. Wish they’d given bath salts, foaming soap/wash for bathtub.

About the cons : The thermostat of the room of centrally controlled air conditioning wasn’t functioning properly. The room good chilled but even after increasing the temperature, it automatically went down to 21 C. Swimming pool: water temperature should be maintained at a comfortable level.

The Westin is a luxurious hotel providing all the amenities expected of a good 5-star hotel. I am not sure why but maybe because it is off-season in Kolta, but I thought the Westin was excellent value for money. It is probably more expensive in peak season. My room was spacious with an excellent desk and chair. The room has a huge bathtub and the shower is uite spacious. The special Bengali New Year's buffet dinner at Seasonal Tastes on the 10th floor was absolutely superb. I have not had so many excellent and exquisite dishes for a long time. They had live music during the dinner and I was entertaining people I wanted to chat with. We were promptly relocated to another part of the music where is was quieter and one could chat more easily. The gym is well-equipped and the swimming pool is also quite enticing. A special shout-out to the exceptional and helpful staff especially Mr Pranab Banerjee, Jr Sous Chef, who goes out of his way to attend to residents during breakfast, as well as Rinky and Tamal at Seasonal Tasters. The breakfast spread is exceptional. The only other place where the breakfast spread exceeds that offered at The Westin is the ITC Royal Bengal (in my opinion). All in all, I will certainly consider the Westin the next time I am in Kolkata.

This is nothing against the Westin and I chose it since I like the quietude and greenery of New Town Kolkata but those with business in the central city need to bear in mind that the Westin is a bit of a hike. It was already hot in April and my travels to places like IIM Joka and ISI Kolkata were strenuous. But Eco Park is literally right across the street and Mother's Wax Museum and other attractions are close by. So, it depends on what one is in town for. But for unwinding at the end of a long day, the Westin is excellent. One evening, I called for in-room dining and told them it had been a long day and I was tired. The chef promised to expedite my order and did so since the food arrived much before the promised 30 minutes. I have nothing negative to say about the Westin.

Fantastic room- enormous comfortable bed Lots of bottled water and toiletries , great view over the city. Excellent gym, modern equipment, pool big enough to do laps.

All communal areas are freezing, corridors, gym and restaurant because of the savage air-con , bring a hoodie. Water was never more than tepid, tried it a number of times over two days and didn’t shame- massive freestanding bathin room but who wants a tepid bath and so just cool showers. Ordered a 6am taxi through the concierge and it hadn’t been booked but reception sorted it out.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The location was excellent, the room interiors were beautifully designed, and the view from the hotel was stunning. The beds were extremely comfortable as well. Overall, it was a fair experience.

I must admit there were a few aspects of my stay that were disappointing. The room service was rather poor; even for small orders, it took an unnecessarily long time to deliver, and I had to call the in-room services multiple times. Additionally, during my stay, there was a period of around 30 minutes of complete power outage. Not only were the lifts inaccessible during this time, but tap water was also unavailable in the washroom.

Customer service was great. Kind and lovely staff. Breakfast was great with lots of options for vegetarian and vegan. Fresh juice was brilliant. Gym an sauna was clean and worked well. Room service was good too. We also liked Room view.

Our first room smelled of smoke, although the staff insisted that it was a non-smoking room. But as soon as we contacted reception and told them, they moved us to another room which was fine. The mattress was strangely soft, and not very comfortable. was so soft.
