Our stay in Coorg Marriot was from 4 May to 7 May 2025 slightly off season, but the stay was very pleasent. Marriot Resort and Spa was amazing and totally relaxing in every way. The property is set amidst rolling hills and forested plantation . Every view is vast and green at three hundred and fifty degrees. The rooms are beautifully appointed,the bathroom is a dream.The best shower I have ever had. The interiors are classy and I noticed they had a wooden ceiling fan. The staff are lovely, helpful smiling and so welcoming. Mr. Karan introduced us to the amenities of the Marriot when we arrived. The property is enormous and one can walk it or there are Buggys taking people to and fro from point A To B. Activities are many .... Swimming pool, Bird watching twice a day,(with a naturalist ) Games room, Tambola in the evening, Bonfire at night. Now to the food it is a gourmets delight.A vast buffet for breakfast and dinner. We had special needs so we asked the Sous Chef Alagu raj to make a South indian thali.I was gobsmacked at the perfection of the thali.Amazing flavours and we repeated it the next night.It was just as fantastic. All the items we ate were tasty made with utmost care. They also serve a very nice high tea with chat cake and other delights. They have an attractive bar Mercara Outpost . Ms Prena took extra care of us and we never needed anything with her helping hand. Ms. Sushmita was also very attentive to our needs. There is a very nice gift shop,I got some spices and coorg coffee. So there it is a review of our lovely stay in Coorg Marriot Resort and Spa

Hotel was exceptionally surrounded by natural trees and coffee farms. It’s beautiful from inside. Check in process was smooth Thanks to Aastha . Hotel offer plenty of activities to be done with in resort. We stayed in king villa and must say it was beautiful and hotel staff has decorated our rooms for our little celebration that was kind gesture. Last but not least coffee tasting highly recommended, Mahesh seems well versed about coffee plantation and its varieties.

For me dinner table in the restaurant was little out of sync and plenty of time it’s not cleaned before asking guest to sit. Most of the time utensils missing on the table that was bit annoying specially if it’s keep happening every day

The property was exceptional in terms of it location, atmposphere, and sense of spaciousness. The staff were exceptional, courteous, friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and had enough variety to keep variety of palattes happy. The choice of experience available for guests are what you expect however had some unique "estate walk' with a resident ecologist is really makes the experience memorable. While all the staff we encountered were friendly, courteous and helpful, we would like to single out few of them: Lakrani was very courteous, efficient and friendly. She would be easily hired for customer facing work anywhere in the world. Infectious enthusiasm was impressive. Lithin was very knowledgable, friendly and willing to share his knowledge about the property, eco system and his passion readily. Ranjit Kumar Pradhan was extremely friendly, obliging and creative in preparing food of exceptional quality and taste. Wish we stayed more nights to taste his delicacy.

Would have liked temperature controlled swiming pool. While it is okay for people with private vechicle, perhaps it would be more usefule to run a periodic shuttle to down town for those who don't have private vechicle during the stay.

It’s a beautiful property set in the midst of a 38 acre coffee plantation, extremely scenic with greenery all around. The location makes it a perfect destination for a holiday. Check in & briefing was smooth, thanks to Pawan from the guest relations team who made sure our stay was exemplary. He checked on us frequently and made sure everything was spot on. Rooms are very spacious with comfortable beds, very clean and offered a great view of the coffee estate. Bathroom is large and spacious, well designed, with a bath tub as well as a separate, enclosed shower area, something I am so particular about while choosing an accommodation. Balcony is a great area to sit and relax enjoying the surroundings. I should make a special mention that they even had phone chargers attached to the bedside table, which was very handy. The restaurant offers a very lavish breakfast and dinner buffet while there are good options for ala carte as well. The fact that they serve drinks on request in the restaurant itself is an added advantage, though you have the option of a separate bar adjacent to it. The overall spread of the buffet is very impressive & exhaustive and caters to all section of people. All the food we ventured into were very tasty and the F&B team and the chefs were very co- operative in customising anything for you. To those who are looking for activities, there are ample options while one can just chill and relax in the breathtaking forest views. Overall, the entire staff were very courteous, attentive and helpful and you can’t find much fault if you do choose to stay at Coorg Marriott.

Nothing that I disliked.

This is a new facility, just a year old is what I understood after chatting up with the staff. Its well maintained, the location makes it perfect as a holiday destination with family and friends. We are a family of 8 members who visited this site, booked 2 rooms. The rooms were super spacious, even the bathrooms were extraordinary. The back and forth to rooms via Buggie and walking makes it a pleasant experience. Food was outstanding, kudos to Mohan, Surya and other F&B managers at the hotel. Cleanliness was very good. Housekeeping staff ensured that our rooms were well maintained at all times. Sufficient options in food and beverage menu. The recreational activity led by Yesudas was amazing as well. The nature walk, story telling, kids play zone were all very good. Pool is well maintained daily.

Approach road to the property is super narrow. I had a hard time driving down in midst of a heavy downpour with cloudy dark weather. The reservations team could do a better job with pre-onboarding instructions. We checked-in at 7.30 pm after having visited Mysuru palace. The drive though is very pleasant, the final approach road was a bit scary with no lights or barricades.

Undoubtedly one of the best luxury resorts to stay at. We stayed at the resort with our pet! There is a quite a lot space for the pet to roam around and play. Pets will not be allowed in the restaurants and pool area. There are charges which is 3500 plus taxes. Food is provided by them and whatever is asked is given for the pet. We had a forest view room and there is enough space from adjacent villas and rooms. We have lot of activities to pass our time. They have a steam room, recreation, gym which is quite big and useful. Ambience is 5/5 Food: 3.5/5 this can be better. Hospitality: 5/5 Highly recommend Marriot Coorg for a pleasant and wonderful stay with your pet.

Food taste can be better.

The hospitality of the staff is paramount. We had a lovely time being pampered to the core. From the very first day, to every meal served, we were treated with such care and affection that it made us feel delighted. The Kitchen is worth a mention and the crew is impeccable when it comes to making you feel at home. Every staff member walked over and were in pleasant conversations with the guests. They wanted us to go beyond the buffet and ask for anything and the kitchen will ensure were served it. I remembered asking for salted Lassi and the guys brought in salted btu with little rose water touch to it. Not being habitual to that kind of flavor, we were ok about it. Immediately the service staff got another set of two. We were reluctant to let go of the previous one, but they categorically made us have the one we felt enjoying more. That is what we loved in this stay.

The staff is spending lot of time standing and moving around, will recommend to have high stools or bar stools placed so that they can relax and take a breather. Thank you staff for all the great work.

The location, cleanliness and facilities were very good. Staff was courteous.

Property is not old age friendly due to its terrain and incline. It is nice for younger people, however. Requests for things like a buggy for the elderly or swimming pool cleaning were either slow or not fulfilled. There was no proper driver accommodation. Many drivers chose to sleep in the car, including ours, due to the state of the accommodation provided. Not nice after the long drive they have made. Option to pay more and get a decent facility must be made, for driver dependent travelers to repeat a visit there.

We had a fabulous time at the property all thanks to the very warm service by the staff especially Durga and Lithin. The food at the property was the best I’ve had in a long time, everything was delicious especially at the grills by valley restaurant and amazing breakfast buffet too. The coffee plantation walk is a must and Lithin the guide is very knowledgable and shared great insights with us. Really good fitness centre, gaming arcade too! Our room was super spacious and very comfortable.. we kept getting sweet suprises by the staff given it was our anniversary. We really had a fantastic time! Thanks a lot.

Given it’s a fairly knew property the upkeep in certain areas could be better. The travel support desk for pick up and drop can be improved.

1. Rooms were nice and spacious. 2. The estate was maintained very well with trees / plants / flowers. Beautiful landscaping. 3. Staff were extremely caring. Suman Kumar and his team took great care of us. Rilut at the check in desk was very polite and friendly. 4. Lithin’s nature walk was excellent. He was very informative and kept us engaged with his trivia of knowledge. 5. Kids play area was great fun!

1. Approach road to the resort is too narrow. 2. There was a wedding party going on which meant that the pool was not available for guest use. 3. You need to reduce the use of single use plastic and use glass bottles. 4. Could do with having some recreation for elders like badminton courts or table tennis.
