Our room was in a new build block and really impressed us with the size of the room and facilities. It was on the edge of coffee plantations offering a stunning view. Friendly staff and other guests. We would definitely have stayed longer if time had allowed. It didn't feel like a hostel more a budget hotel (probably better than most!!) Can use a rickshaw to get to and from the property to the town.

A taxi won't be able to drive down the road to the hostel due to road conditions - so be prepared to walk. Two-wheels would also give you easy access to and from this hostel. The hostel is quite far from the town (25 mins rickshaw).

Really good place to stay! You wake up in the morning, step out to the balcony and find yourself in the middle of coffee plantations. The whole place is very spacious, they have many game facilities (table tennis and so on) and a really nice cafe, where you can easily take your meals. Beds are clean and comfortable.

Would be great if there would be a fridge or a small kitchen for the guests. I get it that guests are supposed to eat either outside or in the cafe (which is great) but for fruits, small items like curd or for just keeping your water bottle cold, it would be awesome to have an easy access to a fridge.

I stayed here for over a week and absolutely loved it! Definitely coming back again! Auto person Shaaju is very helpful and always on time. Booked a AC room with balcony view for an overnight stay . Nice and neat room along with good views . A bit interior and rough roads be cautious about it . Has a in-house restaurant which is good and tasteful. Staffs are courteous . Had a pleasant stay !

I don’t think the rooms and beds are dusted be cautious as people might be allergic Need to be aware on how inside the property is as the roads are pretty rough

The elevation of both the buildings are just perfect for the breezy cool winds. Property manager Riyaz is such a great host, he takes care of your bike, taxi and the much needed tuk tuk(auto rickshaw) rentals he is the go to guy for best places to go site seeing, trekking basically he can pull a trick out of his kind of a magician! Shibin is there always to kill time if it’s thoroughly raining he will keep you entertained. Met a lot of people who were very nice and friendly. Hope some day they become pet friendly 😉

The bad stretch of road that is at least 3.5 km long

Great location surrounded by coffee plantation. Food in the cafe is really good. Tried their chicken pepper fry, chicken fried rice, bread omelette and tea (good strong tea!). Stay wise the cottage is really spacious and has a vintage feel to it.

Nothing particular to the stay. FYI just for folks travelling for the first time to be aware that the last 1.5 km stretch to the zostel is dusty, muddy gravel road.

The environment of the Zostel was amazing. Their property is especially good. Got to meet new people and made friends who will be remembered forever. They did not change the bedsheet until I checked out even though I stayed there for a week. I asked them but they refused.

Everything! The location, the room, the calm and peaceful surroundings and the service provided by the crew at the property - from food to arranging transport. Possibly the most customer centric people. They ensure safety of fellow travellers especially during travel as the place is remote and the roads aren’t the most perfect. I highly appreciated their efforts throughout.

The property was absolutely beautiful. Food was homely and good and staff was friendly. The dorm was overlooking a coffee plantation which created pleasant odour all around. Beds and comforters were comfy and ample space to keep your luggage safe in dorms. overall vibe is good.

The location is a bit secluded from the main area and the road is broken. We had a car so it was easier for us to travel. There could be a music system in the common room and foosball table can be fixed. Kitchen closes at 11 pm.
