First and foremost, the rooms were incredibly comfortable, providing a cozy and relaxing environment after a long day of exploring. The staff at the hotel were exceptionally friendly and always ready to assist with a smile, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast offered a good variety of options and was a great way to start the day. The location of the hotel is excellent, making it convenient to access various attractions and amenities in the area. The front office staff and housekeeping were courteous and efficient, consistently going the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. Their dedication to service truly stood out. One highlight of our stay was the exceptional service provided by the travel desk, operated by Mr. Gopal. The travel desk was truly outstanding and deserves special mention. Mr. Gopal and his team provided clean and well-maintained cars, ensuring a comfortable journey for us. They were incredibly helpful in organizing local sightseeing tours, including day trips to Madurai and Rameswaram. Even when we needed services early in the morning, they were prompt and efficient, without any delays. Mr. Gopal and his team went above and beyond by not only providing cabs and planning trips but also helping us find local food joints when we expressed our interest in trying Madurai's local cuisine. Their recommendations were spot-on, and we had some of the best local food experiences thanks to their guidance. The travel desk's service was not only excellent but also reasonably priced, making it a highly recommended option for anyone staying at the hotel.

However, there were a few aspects that fell short of expectations. The Christmas dinner buffet was a significant letdown. Given the festive occasion, we anticipated a more impressive spread, but it did not meet our expectations. Additionally, the in-house restaurant seemed to be understaffed, leading to delays in service. While the buffet service was good, the live counters were often unattended, requiring multiple rounds and follow-ups to get food from them.

We are a family with small kid. Booked David Residency from Bangalore, for a layover at Madurai for temple visit and continuing to Kerala. The room was so old and badly maintained and different from pics that I checked out immediately and went for this hotel which was 3 times more expensive. I don't regret doing that in the heat of the moment as the experience was unparalleled. Everything was high class, massive compound with ample open parking space, a good garden with shady trees. Well maintained toilet with lots of complimentary toiletries, coffee/tea powder in room. Best breakfast I had in a hotel, would even rate it higher than the ones I had been in Europe, if not for the missing Alpine cheese :D Also the best and most well trained staff I had seen. Overall, I wouldn't mind the higher than normal cost for the experience offered here and would book again if I return to Madurai.

Nothing really, though the fruit juice offered was same as the fruit pieces included with breakfast and not my favorites. But thats not on the hotel :-)

The breakfast itself was good though you have to find out for yourself that there are omelet and dosa stations outside. The bartender in the Ranch Bar was great. Maybe have him teach the breakfast host how to interact with guests. The room was large. It had a mini bar and a safe. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Housekeeping did a great job. The hotel has an outdoor pool but it closes by 6 pm.

The host at breakfast just waved at me. No welcome, good morning, help yourself to the buffet. Why was he even there?

This is such a lovely hotel with an excellent staff. Right from check in we felt very welcomed and spoiled! Anything we needed was supplied immediately. Nights were quiet, breakfasts so delicious!! A bonus was the spotless pool that we enjoyed on hot afternoons. Having a restaurant that was open for lunch and dinner was also so convenient and food was great!

First of all, I'd like to thank the management and staff for the wonderful stay I had at the Pandiyan Hotel. They are very helpful and friendly and made me feel at home. They also helped me to resolve some travel issues, called and negotiated the fare of tuctucs to go downtown. The room is extremely spacious and clean, the food of great variety and quality. The location is also very convenient, a 5 minute tuctuc drive away from Meenakshi temple and other sights.

Very attentive staff especially at breakfast. Despite the busy holiday time they ensure your needs are catered to. Comfortable room Good location to visit madurai main / temple area.

It is an old hotel so expect some interiors/amenities to be older. But the staff goes out of their way to ensure a smooth experience. Please keep the lobby washroom clean with regular daily maintenance.

Breakfast spread was excellent. It included some surprise, regional foods like kambu koozh and ragi puttu. Very healthy yet very thoughtful menu.

1. The outside of the building - the front porch and the surroundings were not clean, especially, the empty cigarettes' cases, cigarettes' butts etc were not removed and it gave an ugly appearance. 2. We had problems in loading the car as the area to park the car for loading was not available for quite some time. The in-charge was not able to request the people to move their cars from that area as he was very hesitant to request people. 3. A suggestion - you could offer services to clean the guests' cars, if they stayed overnight. The leaves and flowers from the trees in the parking lot, the bird excreta and the mud/dirt because of the drizzling rain - all messed up the car.

The location is really good, inside city. There’s also enough space, i.e. parking or drop area, to go for a walk. There’s a bar inside the hotel premises and they have all the needed brands. There’s also drinks available in the room if you need it.

Nothing much to say. Though it’s in the city but you would still need to get an auto or taxi/cab to go to other places. The AC in the room was really good but strangely I wasn’t able to change the temperature. It was happening automatically depending on the room temperature but there should be a facility for us to change.

An oasis of calm from the hustle and bustle of the city, but a 200r tuck tuck to get anywhere. The rooms were really nice with very good bathrooms. Breakfast excellent and the buffet dinner very good. Nice pool

Staff being a bit more attentive in the restaurant and having up to date local knowledge. We went to the light show only to find it was closed for renovation

The gardens are lovely as well as the pool. We really enjoyed the peaceful quiet of the outdoor space. The staff was outstanding. Breakfast was delicious with so many options. We had a comfortable, spacious room. We were able to relax and enjoy our time at the hotel.

Everything we needed was great.
