Location awesome high above the town of Munnar. The road is tricky, but you are driven up to the resort with their vehicle and he is an awesome driver. The gardens, the view the resort, all amazing. Did not want to leave! The reception team are fabulous, all staff so well trained, and service is 10. Breakfast and dinner very good. Dining staff excellent and very friendly. Pool area great. Room and balcony view also excellent. The evening activities are so much fun. Two young men who are delightful. We danced, sang and just had so much fun. Family afternoon activities are also very good. Afternoon tea and snack each day. Guests are so well cared for. Highly recommend this resort as a must visit.

A Magical New Year’s Experience in the Heart of the Indian Jungle We had the privilege of spending New Year’s Eve at this incredible property, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! Nestled in the middle of the Keralan jungle, the location itself is stunning, offering a peaceful and unique atmosphere. What made our stay even more special was the exceptional service from the staff, who went above and beyond to make us feel like VIPs. Their warmth and friendliness made us feel truly welcome, and we were so grateful for their attentiveness throughout our stay. The New Year’s Eve celebration was absolutely spectacular! The buffet offered an impressive array of authentic, mouthwatering dishes, and the variety was beyond what we expected. The evening was filled with lively entertainment, including a DJ and a breathtaking fireworks display, making it a magical way to ring in the new year right in the heart of the jungle. The property itself is beautifully maintained and stylish, with every corner thoughtfully designed. Even outside of the festive season, it’s the perfect destination to immerse yourself in nature, relax, and recharge. The infinity pool was a highlight, offering stunning views and a tranquil atmosphere. A special thank you to Manager Gokhul, whose hospitality truly stood out. He graciously allowed us to fly our drone and capture the breathtaking beauty of the property. Throughout our stay, he was incredibly accommodating and made us feel like part of the family. As we checked out, we were touched by the thoughtful gesture of homemade cookies and cakes as a farewell gift. Leaving this paradise was bittersweet – we were so sad to go and already planning our next visit. We can’t wait to return to this amazing place!

There isn't much to criticize about this property, but a few small things could enhance the overall experience. Firstly, it’s important to note that the hotel does not have a liquor license, so alcohol cannot be purchased on-site. However, guests are allowed to bring their own, which is a helpful alternative. The rooms were clean, modern, and well-maintained, with excellent housekeeping. However, there were a few minor details that could be addressed, such as some stains on the curtains and a few dusty corners. These small touch-ups would ensure an even higher standard of cleanliness and attention to detail. Overall, the stay was wonderful!

Beautiful hotel in the middle of nature. We loved listening to the birdsong of nature and were able to relax very well here, especially as the climate was not too hot at around 24 degrees and was very pleasant for us. The staff were very friendly, caring and attentive. We particularly appreciated the half board, as we never had to worry about meals. Sometimes we also had lunch at the hotel. The prices for lunch were, compared to other hotels in the surrounding, very fair and the food was extremely tasty. The hotel organised a very cool New Year's party - despite the mixed crowd, there was a great atmosphere. We felt completely at ease here and the surroundings with the tea fields are fantastically beautiful. An incredibly relaxing stay. We'll be back!

Breakfast was good and also the service. Maybe more healthier options and organic fruits and salads. We enjoyed the fresh juices everyday. The staff were very accommodating when we requested out of hour foods. The buffet and the a la carte was enjoyable. The chef even did a protein shake for my daughter.

The masseurs could be better trained. The bed linen could be cleaner. The gym could be better equipped and a steam room perhaps. A wash room at the Ayurveda spa needs updating. Children were helping themselves to food with their bare hands. Sometimes the food was not very hot.

The food provided was of good quality and prepared by following good hygiene practices. The dining area was small as compared to the number of people but it had great views. The room was clean and spacious. Pool was pretty nice but unfortunately did not have hot/warm water. The surrounding is well kept and gardeners are amazing. It was green and beautiful.

The wifi was pretty bad in my room, I couldn't even open my email. It was loud at night as the neighbours were pretty noisy. Pool had two areas but none had hot water. The laundry was extremely expensive, even though it was just one load. Hotel seemed like wannabe western and lacked Indian hospitality. The checkout procedure was lengthy.

We had selected package wherein breakfast and dinner were included. Both were very good. Even my husband asked them to make Sheera and they arranged for us which was not in menu. On the day, when we were leaving early at 6 am, they arranged for us some breakfast, cake and cold drink as takeaway. Housekeeping Staff, Chef and Canteen Team and Reception Executives all were very friendly and helpful. Location was very beautiful.

Only while reaching hotel, that 400 meters slope was a bit scary, but we got used to it. The slope road can be improved.

It's a nice place to spend with family. There are nice views. The staff are attentive to details. Also the management is friendly and listen to client. They try to understand the difference in cultures so we can share common things.

I was a bit worried about mosquitoes and flies. I did get my sprays. As well as the cold weather. However, the resort has been free of the mosquitoes as there are correct timings for closing windows. The weather was hot in early December, probably we were expecting cold, maybe it's climate change.

We are very much enjoying to stay. It is amazing location which is the jungle stay. The room surrounding is fully occupied lot of trees like mango, jack fruit, bamboo etc. Well cleanliness, amazing entertaining recreation hall, entertaining camfire & events, restaurent all are well maintained and the greenery is looks amazing. Foods are too good, south indian Foods are delicious. Vertical roads are more adventures, swimming pool is so good and enjoying to swim in the cool water. Staffs are kind and good, thanks for your prompt action to all Staffs. This mountain resort is giving a new experience to us and We enjoyed.

Not at all

The staff were very friendly and always ready to help. There was a big games room where tea and coffee was served along with local treats at 4.30 pm every day. The food was lovely and the restaurant staff were wonderful. Lung was very helpful on our first visit and talked us through the different dishes on the menu. The TV worked well and offered a variety of channels allowing us to watch the British news and football! Sightseeing was easy to arrange via reception. The hotel had a nice outside pool and a spa. We didn’t use them but we would have made use of them had we stayed longer.

Our driver couldn’t find the resort so better signage from the main road would be helpful. The hot water ran out quickly in the mornings so had a tepid shower a couple of days. We had a cottage and our neighbours were quite noisy as the walls weren’t very soundproof!

Our family of nine, including four kids, recently stayed at the Elephant Passage Resort in Munnar, and it was an incredible experience! We booked rooms on the first floor, just above the reception building, and were treated to stunning views of the lush greenery surrounding the property. The resort, perched on a steep hill, offers breathtaking vistas of Munnar, making it an ideal spot for a 3-4 day trip. The staff at Elephant Passage are exceptionally friendly and attentive. Housekeeping was impressively swift, delivering whatever we needed in under two minutes! A special mention goes to Chef Harikrishnan for the amazing dishes he prepared during our stay. The activity team, Suresh and Abhay Mohan, ensured we had a lot of fun and laughter, especially during the bonfire nights. We played games, danced, and connected with many other guests. The kids' activity center, located next to the restaurant, is fantastic. It offers a wide range of activities and ample space for the kids to enjoy, along with great views. The evening tea and snack sessions provided a unique opportunity for relaxing and socializing. The breakfast menu is excellent, with delicious locally sourced and made food. We also loved taking walks on the soft trekking tracks around the property. The serene environment, with birds chirping and the wind whispering through the trees, made for a delightful experience. While the pool is not temperature-controlled, which limited our time in it due to the cold, the overall stay was truly amazing, and the kids absolutely loved it. We highly recommend Elephant Passage Resort for a memorable family vacation in Munnar.
