Everything about this hotel is excellent. The landscaped gardens, well-designed cottages set among them tastefully, the lovely pool with its view of the ocean, the golden sands within yards of one of the restaurants all contribute to a beautiful environment. The food is freshly made every day and only uses fruit/veg which are in season. The fish dishes are prepared from what has been caught locally - you can see the boats coming in to go down the coast to the fish quay in Nileshwar from the breakfast table. Everything is cooked and presented to a very high standard, and cooked to order so one can ask for the spice level to be varied if needed. There is no noisy 'musak' to disturb the peace, and staff are trained to move about the site without rushing, and to speak quietly. There is a real sense of everyone being valued equally, and the welcome guests receive -not just at the beginning, but throughout their stay - adds to the sense of being in a very special place. If de-stressing by the pool and being well-fed are not enough, there is complimentary yoga each morning; an early morning canoe trip along the beachside lagoon to look at the birds; a shop where you can order fabrics and have items made by the in-house tailor; and the hotel also arranges excursions, for example on their traditional houseboat, or to see a performance of traditional Kathakali dancing. This was our 3rd visit, the last one being just before Covid in 2020; Neeleshwar survived the Covid problems and it was wonderful to see that the very special experience offered here is still very much one of the most relaxing places to be, a small slice of paradise.

Breakfast was of very good quality and served to table, not a from a buffet, which was a great bonus. The fresh fruit juice cocktails are amazing. Dinner was also very good and the portions were large, too large on one occasion. Served by knowledgable staff who knew the contents of the dishes they were serving. We very much enjoyed the Neeleshwar Newsletter. What a nice touch.

This is the most wonderful place for a relaxing vacation. Kerala has lush greenery, gorgeous people and is very clean compared to north India. Everything at Neeleshwar is superb: the spacious comfortable villas with private open-air bathrooms, the consistently delicious food at every meal and the attentive chef and waiting staff, the gorgeous beach and pool (swimming at the beach is not always available due to the ocean swell), the fabulous excursions (don't miss the Theyyam temple ceremony and a day on the back waters in the resort boat - you'll be pampered) and the excellent yoga, meditation and spa packages (note that some of the hair treatments contain henna, but the staff are happy to advise you on the best package if you wish to avoid henna). Thank you to all of the amazing staff - you made us feel at home. We miss you and Neeleshwar already.

Rustic yet luxurious an amazing property next to a small backwater and amazing clean beach. Staff were friendly and attentive. Meals at the seafood restaurant were scrumptious. Spa was a genuine treat and early morning yoga too. Overall we loved our stay.

We really loved our stay and time however to improve peoples experiences here is some constructive criticism. Fruit juices were diluted with too much water. Day pool-side snacks need to improve. Rooms need to be cleaned better each day. Some maintenance needs to be done with some termite damage on the wooden floors and some care to the lovely red teak wood used for the cottage roofs. Although we loved the seafood restaurant, prices were quite high.

We stayed in the garden view room. Room was top notch. Cleanliness is beyond mention. The staff are wonderful from the managers - Jesse and Jayan to the restaurant staff to even Mr. vinod who helped us at the pool. Everyone was wonderful!! And the stay was blissful

The only thing was the food had limited choices and extremely overpriced. We did voice it to the managers and they very politely obliged to it... Which was again wonderful.

The property is beautiful. All the cottages are very well maintained, the gardens and paths between them are always pristine clean and it’s a sight for tired eyes. Both restaurants are amazing, and the staff!!! They are just perfect. All of them, so professional and so kind! We had the luck to arrive on Diwali, so there was a special performance by musicians and we all helped with the lights after sunset. The pool area is also very peaceful and quiet. Our cottage was very big and very comfortable, and the bathroom was half-closed, which gave a sensation of being outside while showering and a very nice one. We chose this resort precisely to take a break from the traffic and craziness of the last 2weeks traveling by motorcycle, and we couldn’t be happier with this place. It was the perfect ending for the perfect trip to India. I recommend it vividly to everyone who has the opportunity to stay here.

There wasn’t a single thing that wasn’t perfect.

Location on a lovely beach, no other hotels in sight and with occasional local fishermen or boys playing football. Very peaceful and relaxing, wonderful.pool.

Not much to dislike if you want a quiet, relaxing stay. Food options are inevitably limited with only 2 restaurants, but the food was great.

All the facilities were very very good.Food was good and made to our taste.The bread was very sweet and not fit for Sandwiches.Coffee was excellent.Overall cleanliness and maintenance of the property was beyond expectations.The infinity Pool was long and large and very clean one of the best we have seen.

Open washrooms- so expect some insects. Bathtub doesn’t have hot water.

Cottages are nicely spread out giving privacy and sense of security. Large rooms and open air bathroom was lovely. Staff provides service with a smile and met our special food requests also. Breakfast items are as per request and the freshly made dosa, pancakes, omlette, coorgi coffee in french press was a great way to start the morning - all were tastefully made and presented. Privacy at the beach, pool by the beach were enjoyed to savour the sea exposure. Dont miss the cycle ride to the neighbourhood - good physical exercise.

Food while tasty was a bit overpriced - request the resort to relook at the pricing. Perhaps because of the festive holiday, the housekeeping staff was unreachable to attend the A/C in one room that was not effectively cooling. Besides these two issues there is no reason to not visit this place for a leisurely, refreshing, healthful stay that we will cherish for a long time.
