The Staff are super kind, courteous, helpful & knowledgeable. Breakfasts are wonderful and the entire team is super attentive wanting to assure us guests' stay is excellent and comfortable. My room was quite quiet as I did bring some noise cancelling machines which in my opinion are essential when traveling in India. Tours can be organised for guests according to their requests. The location is great especially once one learns the routes through the walk streets to the ghats. Varanasi is a very intense place on many levels and I was always so happy to come "home" to my room sheltered from the chaos of the city.

Honesty cannot think of anything!

The staff here are excellent, and couldn’t be more helpful. We arrived very early and they managed to clean a room and let us check in, which was really appreciated and above and beyond what should be expected. The staff helped us to organise a taxi to the airport, responded when we needed help with getting to the doctors with sickness, and sorted laundry for us including getting back a scarf that the laundry didn’t initially return. The hotel was excellent value for money - really if we wanted more we should be paying more. The room was very clean, and we were offered mid-stay cleaning if we wanted it. The dining area was nice, but could do with the walls repainting / cleaning and the cutlery wasn’t all clean (we gave it a quick wipe and got on with it, I don’t think it affected our health and everything else was clean). The area around the hotel is very noisy, however the hotel is far enough from the main road to be able to get a good nights sleep. There’s a convenience store just opposite and a pharmacy really close by should you need it.

We thought on the whole we got good value. Some more natural night in the bedroom (we got a smaller room) would have been nice, however can’t really expect the hotel to change the building!

The best place to stay in Varanasi when it comes to price/quality. While it might be a little bit more expensive than other guesthouses, this place is the perfect spot to truly relax and recharge your energies after a long day walking around the city. The room was clean, spacious, had working AC and hot water, nice and fresh linen, comfortable beds, and a kettle.

The single downside I would say is that, if you want to go out really early (Varanasi is at its best during sunrise), you have to wake up the guy who is taking care of the property. They were absolutely nice about it though.

I recently stayed at Safarnama Varanasi and I cannot stop myself recommending it. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the owner and the staff with warmth and hospitality that made me feel truly welcome. The property itself is beautifully designed and immaculately maintained( as if it was newly built but it is actually 4 year old). My room was spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed, with all the amenities like electric kettle choices of coffee ( four different flavours), girnar pre mix chai and a mini fridge. The rooftop terrace was decent but some work was going on at rooftop while our stay. What really sets Safarnama Varanasi apart is the personalised attention. The owner and the staff went above and beyond to make sure that my stay was as enjoyable as possible. They were always available to answer any questions I had, and their recommendations for places to visit and things to do in Varanasi were spot on. The provided us with free boat ride as well. The staff Raj, Pundit Jee, Abhishek all went extra miles to make our stay comfortable beyond expectation. Will surely return when I am in Varanasi.

I loved how the reception offered us a welcome cold drink upon check in, and the staff proceeded to take care of our bags upon checking in. There were also day tours with very affordable prices clearly indicated on the notice board beside the reception. Took up the Sarnath tour deal and it was great at 500rupee/pax as of April 2023. Rooms were extremely clean and soap and shampoo provided. AC was also strong enough. Location wise, it was perfect as it's walking distance to the famous areas like the popular Blue Lassi shop/Kashi Chaat/Deena Chaat Bandar and the Dashashwamedh Ghat where you can see the evening rituals. If you're an English speaking traveller don't worry about any language barrier too

This is my second stay at Safarnama, despite of it's location or property size - you still have a feel good factor about this hotel as soon as you enter the reception area. The once you start climbing the stairs to head to your room, the percentage of this feel good factor increases. The staff is very courteous, humble and helpful. I got good vibes from this place and I'm glad I chose to stay here again.

I wouldn't say it's something to dislike - but considering their location, they are in one of the busiest parts of the city but still that's a very important landmark as well.

The hotel is located on a narrow street that is not accessible to cars. It is about a 5 minute walk to the main road. It is a short distance, possible to cover with a heavy backpack. Nevertheless, the staff moved our luggage both ways at our request. The location of the hotel is very good, close to all tourist attractions. The staff is very kind and helpful. The room is clean, the beds are comfortable, no problem with hot water. The breakfast is very good. The only negative is the noise from the reception and from the street in the room behind the reception, but Varanasi is a very noisy city. Earplugs will suffice. Other than that, the hotel deserves a full recommendation for a stay in Varanasi.

The place is very neat and clean. The staff are really helpful with luggage and food and everything. Especially Pandey Ji who makes delicious breakfast in the morning. The place is very close to all the main sites. You can easily walk to the temple and the river.

The place is located right in the city center which is a very busy area so cars don't go up to the hotel. You might need to walk a bit though their staff helps you with that so that's not much of a problem once you reach there.

If someone is explorer and wish to see Banaras city on the line of history, and wish to enjoy early breeze while boating in the river ganga, and spent time at the river ghaat, a good place to stay as the facility is very close to river Ghaat, temples and many religious places of the city. The narrow streets of Banaras (Banaras Ki Galiyan) can be felt while roaming by them. A little issue to reach at the facility is there, however, it will also add interesting experience to your Banaras visit. Staff is fantastic in work and nature.

Safarnama feels like a blessing in disguise. Though located in a small street, the place tells you a different story once you get inside this beautiful gem of a property. It is well kept, rooms are tastefully decorated and everything in order to make you feel at home. Staff was most wonderful especially Pandit Ji and Abhishek who goes out of their way to help you with smallest of things and make sure to you experience the real hospitality of Banarasi's. They would also give you recommendation for authentic places to eat and shop so you don't have to roam around looking for directions which saves a lot of time for a tourist. Best part is their location which is very close to the river and temple so you can basically walk down to all the places. I am glad to have found this place and would recommend everyone who wish to see Banaras in the best way possible.
