My four night stay at Kalapa Resort and Yoga Retreat was nothing short of incredible. From the moment I arrived I was greeted by the lovely host, a cold beverage and a fresh towel after my overnight flight and very little sleep. I was offered an early check in as the guests before me had already left and I was able to go and have a lay down. I stayed in the villa with a private pool, king sized bed and a deep bath. It was luxurious and peaceful and I immediately felt relaxed. Kalapa Resort offers yoga sessions three times a day, a restaurant, two pools for everyone to use and a spa. I ate all my meals at the restaurant which were delicious. Special mention to the young man who made the most delicious oat latte. The sticky rice and mango was also amazing. As were the margaritas! I had three treatments at the spa. My first was a deep tissue massage which was quite possibly the best massage I've ever had. I followed it up with a hot stone massage the following dav and an aromatherapy massage the last day. My time here was qu relaxing, and all staff were iust so, so lovely and helpful. I would 100% go back again!

There was honestly nothing I didn’t like. As with most accommodation with traditional Balinese huts it can at times be noisy as it they’re not always noise proof. Bring some earplugs.

I loved everything about my stay at Kalapa Resort. The staff were so kind and welcoming, the daily yoga classes, relaxing by the pool, the food at the restaurant was amazing. I adored the wooden juglo I had booked. It had so much character and had a lovely outdoor area to relax and enjoy the sounds of nature while reading a book. I can’t wait to come back here and stay again.

The only aspect I didn’t like is a process called ‘fogging’ which is to keep insects under control. It also harms bees, butterflies etc.

Very nice and very helpful staff, beautiful and quiet place in the middle of rush Canggu Area. Great restaurant with lovely a-la carte breakfasts.

Canggu is very busy place. Even short distances get long in traffic Jam. Only scooters make sense, in some hours cars are almost useless. But you can get used to it very quickly, and enjoy how they somehow manage that mess :).

How quiet it was despite being just off the main roads. We had the big pool to ourselves a lot of the time so really loved hogging the cabana! The staff were friendly and helpful - we went on a tour and the whole staff wanted to hear how it went and see photos!

I take bad reactions to mosquito bites and in hindsight staying in the jungle next to river wasn’t maybe the best idea for me. The staff do burn special incense and try to manage the mozzies but i still ended up with upward of 20 awful bites! The yoga schedule could also have been a bit more varied as if you were looking for a yoga focused break it would be a bit repetitive.

We loved absolutely everything about our stay. The rooms felt like old school Bali, around 15 minutes scooter away from the hustle and bustle of Canggu but still within walking distance to some spas, convenience stores and cafes. We loved how cosy and welcoming the place was - the staff were attentive, helpful and relaxed. The rooms were a dream - the canopy beds, outdoor bathtubs and two decent size pools felt like paradise. Even when we had an issue with some flies in one of our rooms, the staff were able to clean the room thoroughly to ensure it was comfortable for our next night stay. Another unexpected highlight was the incredible restaurant. There were a number of breakfasts to choose from, as well as healthy Indonesian and Western meal options for lunch and dinner meaning that we rarely wanted to leave the hotel. Everything was incredible and I don't think we will ever forget our stay at Kalapa

It would be nice to have tea, coffee and kettle facilities in the rooms. Although they were included with breakfast, it would be nice to have the extra option. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

What a gorgeous resort that caters for a smaller number of guests, in a quiet area close enough to grab a bike to Canggu in 10 mins Gentle flow yoga each morning, our yogi was attentive and supportive of individual needs Staff were fantastic from the moment we arrived, polite and attentive throughout the stay. Gorgeous and clean interior in our room Wonderful Usada massage at the spa as well

At the time we visited there was just one yoga class per day in the morning, not sure if this was due to time of year or demand. Also maybe a personal preference but breakfast was till 10am with yoga at 10am. it would have been nice to have been able to have breakfast after yoga (we did take our breakfast to our room one morning and ate it cold after yoga)

We enjoyed our stay here. We had a comfortable bed, the restaurant is excellent (truly, an elevated food experience), and the grounds are well kept and service was excellent. We enjoyed the free yoga sessions.

There was some daytime construction as they were renovating some areas. But construction is everywhere in Bali, you cannot get away with it, and it's nice to see they care to maintain and upgrade the grounds. The rooms are bungalow style, so the wood is thin and there's cracks to the outside. But the rustic feel is part of the charm, and fortunately the AC was very strong and we were comfortable in the room

The staff were very friendly and when we had an issue with a noisy neighbour they promptly moved us to a quieter room. Prices for breakfast and in the restaurant were very reasonable.

Property was difficult at times with a small child. The entrance to the hotel was a steep hill and there were lots of steps with no much space for a young child. Whilst not a reflection on the hotel, the location with Canggu traffic made small journeys quite long and arduous.

Beautiful gem hidden in a side streets of Janggu. Spectacular garden with traditional Indonesian wibe bungalows.Everything is open,so don't expect sterile closed rooms,but except for the miskitos we didn't have any other insect surprises,even in the open air bathroom.I really liked the quiet and green atmosphere and fresh air, botanical garden wibe and a beautiful design of the place. You'll need to rent a scooter (right in the hotel, good price),or to call a Grab, to get somewhere, while it's literally impossible to walk by foot anywhere in Canggu.But it's actually few minutes by foot to the great massage place called Lotus,or about 15 min scooter to the beach. The hotel restaurant has a really good breakfast. Two pools are really fresh and clean, with great area to rest around, surrounded by a beautiful garden. Bed was comfortable, with a moskito net wide and big enough. There was raining some time during the day, there's umbrellas in every room and a nice place under the roof,in front of the room,so you can rest and watch the rain.Filtered water, tea and coffee complementary in the room. Nice minibar with fair prices. Towels and linen were nice and clean.

Yoga place is in the wooden house room next to the reception, without enough ligh or windows,not in the open space, for me it felt a bit claustrophobic.

The resort is stunning and the staff are wonderful, they accommodated all our needs. The food is amazing, the music they play during breakfast is the best- Balinese music which is so relaxing. They even upgraded our room as they had some construction going on.

The pathway needs to be maintained as there was some moss on some stones which made it slippery and I nearly fell a few times. Also some of the stones are loose, so again have to be so careful whilst walking. Maybe a sturdy pathway would be better.
