The location is fantastic, just few steps from the beach and La Brisa. The hotel is not new but it’s a good value for money for sure. Tip: take rooms by the pool, they are way better and much more quiet since there is a pretty loud bar just across the street which makes the stay in standard (not pool) rooms quite uncomfortable.

Fantastic location, extremely helpful staff, modern facilities. Staff helped the best they could whenever we had an issue.

No safe in room, very few coat hangers, they ran out of pool towels for a few days in a row so we had to use our dirty bathroom towels at the pool area and then they ran out of clean bathroom towels. We made a booking 8 months in advance and requested to have the three rooms together but we were all separated and nowhere near each other which was really disappointing. We requested to be put together again once we were there but they said it couldn't be done. The pool area did not have enough seating either. Only 4 people could use the pool area at any given time.

We needed washing done before flying out, on the Thursday morning at 5.30am, we were told by two staff members that if the washing was put in by 8am Wednesday morning, the laundry would be done by late afternoon. When we went to collect Wednesday evening the laundry was not there and wouldn't be at the hotel till Thursday morning, Im sorry for the recepionist as that was not acceptable as we were told same day service. Not very happy. We went and got a coffee and the receptionist had followed the laundry up and it was delivered to our room by 9pm. All I ask is that everyone at the reception is on the same page. It is not our first time at the Papillion and wont be our last, we enjoy being there.

Super nice stay - I inquired for a quieter room and got assigned to one facing the garden, which was amazing, super quiet and relaxing environment despite of the very central location. Location is great too, if you are looking for easy access to beach, spa, restaurants etc. The breakfast buffet was not big, but had changing offer every day, which was great. Very helpful and kind staff.

Other people pass by the big glass door of the room to access their rooms, so kind of have to keep the curtains closed if privacy is wanted. The light in the room and bathroom could be a bit better.

A hidden gem in Echo Beach. And, my favorite hotel in Bali. I’ve been coming back for years. I book the queen room, at the back, so quiet and a pool just outside the door. Really shouldn’t tell you this but I guess they have to have business when I’m not there too. It’s close to beach and surf spots, La Brisa and other restaurants. Supermarket opposite the hotel, and just a short walk away you’ll find Canggus busy streets with food and shopping. But this is a quiet oasis.

The room was very clean. The bathroom was huge. Beds were very comfortable. Shower and bath were clean and nice. Staff were friendly. The grounds are nice with 3 accessible pools. Very close to shops and restaurants. Labrissa market, echo beach etc. We had a quiet room at the back which was nice but I could still hear the music from local bars. Restaurant is clean and the staff were friendly.

Curtains were block out which was great but they leave the light on outside the rooms so light comes in up the top/sides and down the bottom of the curtains. Bathroom door is glass so light comes thorough early morning. Breakfast is ok but not many western options other than pancakes. Mainly rice, potatoes, soup etc. I also did not like being called at 12pm for checkout when I was already on my way down to reception. Ask for a quiet room or you can hear music from nearby bars.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. Everything is nearby. Literally few minutes from La brise, from the beach, around 15min walk from the famous bars old man and mexicola and even 20+min walk on the beach can take you to Atlas and Finn’s club. The staff is nice and reception is open 24h There’s a bar in front of the hotel with a live band. A pharmacy nearby, food everywhere, atm, etc

The breakfast is nice but maybe change from time to time as it felt the same breakfast everyday. Some people will not like how loud the live band music from the bar in front of the hotel might sound but it was ok for us it’s ended at 11pm

A nice quiet place located off the main road. Pool area is lovely and gets spots of sun most of the day. It is quite exposed to reception but they keep to themselves! Room was great, they offered to clean it and work around our schedules which I thought was a nice touch. Cute doggos on reception!! friendly staff. Lots of nice plants. Great area close to the beach (which seems busy but is honestly pretty easy to navigate including surfing - lots of kooks not catching anything with their instructors), lots to wander around and good food places nearby. Big spacious rooms. Chilled filtered water available out of a dispenser on every floor which was a nice touch!

Unfortunately we were on level 3 and they only have stairs which meant we avoided going back and forth to our room. Shower areas getting a little bit run down but didn't bother us too much! TVs didn't work. Would be great to have a breakfast option.

Love the feeling of staying at a villa when in a queen or king room, but at a reasonable price. Great pool access and comfortable room. Very clean and lovely staff. I find it also quieter street, but central to everything in Canguu that you want

Just a couple things need updating like the paint and my aircon wasn’t the best. My mum stayed in another room though and hers was working well.

The hotel is near beach and a beautiful, stylish beach club La Brisa with ATM. Breakfast buffet was nice for 75K, but I would have liked real milk for coffee and bacon with eggs. Still no problem! I was happy, that it was easy for my daughter to walk to the beach to take surf classes.

Noise from the sports bar across the street, which lasted every day till 23.00. Just too loud! Pool area was ugly and loied very worn out.
