The location is amazing, especially if you’re looking for a quieter area of Canggu. It is a very short walk to Echo Beach which is great for surfing and has many beach bars (our favourite is Othree!). The air conditioning and ceiling fan worked really well, and the room was bigger than expected with plenty of storage. The staff were lovely and always helpful, the included breakfast options are very nice.

Unfortunately, some nights we had inconsiderate guests making noise in the common areas late at night. While there are already quiet hours in place, a bit more signage or enforcement could help make sure everyone respects them.

This was our second stay at The Bed by the Sea, and again, we enjoyed our experience. Both the room and the bathroom were spacious, and the included breakfast is lovely (but there's no pressure to have it every day). Location wise, the hotel has good access to Pererenan and Echo Beach, with the beach shortcut being a great way to cut across to markets, bars and restaurants.

Due to the extreme weather, both our bedroom and bathroom ceilings leaked, which meant we used more towels than necessary. As the weather cleared up, this decreased. As well as this, the wifi cut out a few times due to the storm, however staff were quick to fix this. Lastly, I would suggest the hotel implements mosquito nets around the bed as this was the accommodation we got the most bitten in during our 3-week trip to Bali.

The location is perfect. About 3 min walk to one of the main beaches in Canggu. There are a few nice restaurants walking distance as well.

Breakfast was included in my booking but I was never given the instructions on how to get it, there isn't a restaurant or buffet area. There wasn't any staff during the day on the premises, you had to contact them through WhatsApp.

Amazing stay in this small scale hotel. The rooms are build around a nice common area where breakfast is served. The hotel is situated close to the main buzz of Canggu but still in a quiet area, so there’s no noise during the night.

Not necessarily dislike, but be aware of the location which is deep into Canggu. The roads are notorious to be packed and if you plan to go about by a taxi, add sufficient extra travel time (from the airport to the hotel it took us 2 hrs for a distance of around 15 km). For those renting a scooter, the place is ideal, you can pass the traffic quickly and you’ll find yourself in a quiet and remote part of Canggu.

We were so well looked after here, my husband got Bali belly and Maddy couldn’t have been nicer - making him ginger tea, toast and getting coconuts. Akiong the driver working with property is fab - so friendly and informative about the area and what prices you should pay for things! The property js calm and quiet - amazing to get a silent nights sleep so close to town. Property is great location, walking distance from Main Street and right on the beach - local Gojeks know how to get you by bike into town in about 5 minutes, if you rent a scooter and follow Google maps it takes you out of town and back again so you have to drive about 25 minutes - not sure how that works, but still easy to walk in about 5-10 mins.

Madeh and Jonny are very helpful and this place has everything you’d want for accommodations. We enjoyed our stay a lot with Balinese massage and beachside lounges within walking distance. The overall care and dedication Madeh puts into providing the best possible experience is apparent.

There was a challenge with communication where we asked to avoid dairy and eggs but this wasn’t understood by the staff. My recommendation is to simply translate any dietary restrictions for staff and remind each staff member serving you, maybe 2 or 3 times. You may avoid misunderstandings this way.

The Bed by the Sea is definitely a place home far away from home. It is beautifully decorated villa in a very convenient and pretty central location, but at the same time it's very cozy and welcoming, where you feel like staying at your friend's home. It is located in a quiet area and even though you are sharing all the common spaces with other guests, at any time you feel like in a small oasis in the middle of the city - it's super peaceful. It wouldn't be so wonderful without amazing stuff that are working there - Made and her wonderful colleagues will definitely make sure that you enjoy your lovely breakfast and your stay overall. And driver Akiong will meet you with his big smile at the airport and will make sure that you have a great dinner after a long flight, change your money at best place and will safely bring you to the Bed by the Sea. Thank you all for amazing stay! We are looking forward to coming back!

The only thing that could be slightly improved is breakfast. They offer very simple version of breakfast, which can become pretty repetitive if you stay in Bed by the Sea longer. So if you are foodie person, I suggest some of the days to skip the breakfast at the Bed by the Sea and go to have breakfast somewhere around in the area. I hope that the owners of the Bed by the Sea will pay attention to my and some other visitors comments and make some amendments by investing more into the breakfast. That would definitely make Bed by the Sea one of No 1 places to go in Canggu.

Everything: - Nice and cozy rooms and bathrooms - Good breakfast and staff accommodated with vegan options (i.e. margarine instead of butter, coconut yogurt instead of dairy yogurt, soy milk instead of cow milk) - The location is so quiet but still you are in 5min in Canggu - Nice pool - Good Wifi - Well maintained - Amazing room service and everyday cleaning - Old Man’s 5min scooter drive - Pererenan beach 3min walking - AND the staff is sooo amazing! Everyone was just so nice, welcoming and helpful! 🙏🏼 We stayed here for 1 month and we can totally recommend it for longer stays as well!

There is really nothing to complain about. We would only have some small recommendations to make it even better (from our subjective point of view): - Add more hooks to the rooms for hanging up towels or wet clothes/bathsuits. We were missing those. - Maybe offer something additional for the continental breakfast as it basically comprises of 2 slices of bread. We thought that Avocado/Guacamole and/or some tempeh would be nice. We would also have loved an Indonesian breakfast option! - Perhaps add a microwave to the kitchen

We felt fantastic here for our honeymoon. The staff were so helpful and kind, was a pleasure to meet all of them. It was squiky clean and we loved the idea of leaving shoes at entrance and walk by foot. Bathroom is very nice and location is quiet beeing a private road very close to the beach by foot it takes like 3 min. Breakfast tasty and good

Great location, a short walk to the beach and town but still quiet, away from the noise of traffic and bars. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. We had bike rental and a lift to the airport through them, all good prices and sorted quickly with no issues. The pool and common area was beautifully decorated and very peaceful. Breakfast was lovely with yoghurt and granola and fresh juice, which was a nice touch. It was our honeymoon and they have even laid out flowers and left a congratulations message. Very sweet!

Sometimes the cleaners were quite loud in the morning (shouting or talking very loudly to eachother).
