We loved how secluded and quiet this was. It was close enough to cafes/warungs/restaurants/massage parlours/pharmacies etc that you could easily walk to pretty much anything and everything you might need but far enough away that there was no noise pollution (except for the neighbours dog that appeared to be quite aggressive but never actually did anything) The suite was large enough that the children could still play games like hide and seek - be drawing on the dining table or doing puzzles at the coffee table. This was a must for us as we had stayed in a much smaller hut style accomodation out in Bangli - so it was nice for the kids to be able to stretch out and play and make the space their own. The staff were incredibly kind and accomodating - especially the staff on the housekeeping crew - they were all very patient and understanding (we went surfing as tracked sand and all sorts throughout the suite without realising) and did a wonderful job keeping the suite clean and comfortable. Our 3 year old loved the pool! A bit small for all of us to enjoy all together if there were other guests interested in spending time out there though. The photos are very deceptive.

It was a mixed bag - we liked how big the suite was but there was no natural light or view because it was the bottom floor and right up to the fence on one side - the cafe on one side and then the car park and internal corridor. The rooms were adequate for our family of four but the beds were very uncomfortable. One bathroom was spacious and well appointed but the other was pokey and difficult to manoeuvre in (the toilet was tucked behind the door and next to the shower so not good for taking 3 year olds to the toilet! Ha!) Complimentary massage was offered but then when we tried to organise anything (paid service by the way, not even necessarily the comped massage - we were told no one would be available during our stay?)

Very friendly staff, I check out 2:00pm with kids and they didn't charge anything. Every day they make up the room, we stayed 7 days, and Breakfast was amazing, even though I ordered extra, they didn't charge me. Highly recommend

Overall everything here good to very good. Staff were kind and polite. Included breakfast was tasty. The bed was comfortable. Wifi was decent. Room was spacious and well appointed with facilities (kettle, fridge, sink, sitting area, table and chairs, t.v., plates etc) Good sized bathroom and nice shower rose. Good water pressure. A/C great. Happy for what we paid. Nice they included a 10min free massage, we unfortunately didn't find the time to use this. Not really traditional Balinese in any way, but great if you're looking for good clean reliable accommodation away from the busiest parts of Canguu.

All the facilities are there, but are getting a little tired/dated. Some areas could use a fresh coat of paint (some scuff marks, fading, peeling), which makes it feel a little dated. Some towels are a little older and not so fluffy. There was a safe - great - but not bolted in place (seems to be a thing in Bali 😄) Finding is a little strange... located at the end of a narrow street next to a property that has a couple of annoying barking dogs that may be roaming free. Staff spoke to them and they were mostly away after this. They're harmless, and more scared of humans than anything, but can be alarming. Pillows soft but quite fat.

Staff was amazing! Room was amazing. Food was amazing! Very good value for money.

It was super quiet location, beds were hard like a futon mattress other than that it was gorgeous, super friendly staff, little cafe quaint, pool was cool with squirrel friends and a lizard :-)

The villa, the breakfast and the staff were all fantastic.

This was our first time to Bali so we didn’t know what to expect, but the traffic was incredibly busy at certain times of the day. To get 10kms took 1hr in the car with an expert driver who knew the route.

Big and aesthetic room. Private and quiet.

Not that squeaky clean. We asked for extra pillow but it is still a bit dusty.

We stayed at Umalas Suites for two weeks, and it was a wonderful stay. The room (1br suite) was spacious, and an additional rollaway bed was provided on request. The place was clean, beautiful, comfortable, light filled and lovely and cool. There was a great selection for breakfast, and it was all tasty. The staff were very friendly and helpful - they brought a hanging rack for our wet clothes and towels as soon as we asked, and sent someone to repair our dripping air conditioner without even being asked. The location was convenient for us, and walking distance to a few warungs. (Eko cafe - so good!!) I highly recommend this hotel, and would definitely stay here again if we’re back in Umalas. The property is also shady and quiet!! Wonderful qualities that can be difficult to find in this area! Great value for money!

A toilet hose would have been nice. 🙂 Also there’s not much hanging space for towels and wet clothes, but the staff brought us a rack on request, so that wasn’t a problem for us. Honestly there was very little to complain about - everything was great!

Amazingly friendly staff. Very well maintained facilities. The room we got (2 bedroom suite) was spacious and comfortable. The staff lent us their power adapter so we could use our phone chargers without needing to buy new hardware. The staff helped us by sharing local information too.

• The breakfast was tasty, but the options were fairly limited. To their credit, the staff customised the breakfast according to our preferences, so I had some variety in breakfast in the 4 nights we stayed there. • The location is a few hundred metres away from the main road. Not a huge deal, but people who don't like to walk may find this suboptimal.

We had friends over a lot of and Heni who serviced us was very accommodating with our requests for certain time to have rooms cleaned and early breakfast arrangements. We felt at home. We had booked 3 double rooms and a 2 bedroom apartment. The feedback about the other rooms was great.

Only our double bed in the smaller room of the 2 bedroom unit was very squeaky and not comfortable. The control switches for the lights was a bit odd.
