Fantastic location, beautiful pool, relaxed vibe to the hotel. Excellent value.

The bill produced by the staff was confusing with the addition of 10% service charge added to cover room cleaning even though no room cleaning took place or was offered however total bill as agreed via Booking.com was correct.

The villas are lovely for the price you're paying for them. It's *incredibly* quiet. I had a good time there and that was mainly due to the staff. Everyone there was so lovely, right down to recognizing I didn't eat any of my papaya for breakfast, and switching it to banana (without me having to ask). I'd definitely recommend Villa D'Carik to people going to Bali on a bit of a budget. The fact that the villas are essentially round the back of a working Hindu temple is also very, very cool - and you'll almost definitely meet some friendly cats!

The location is a bit off - you're essentially in the middle between Denpasar and Ubud, and with the traffic in Bali being unlike anywhere in the world (it's a nightmare quite frankly) this can be a problem. For instance, it took me around 45 minutes to get to the football stadium via a Grab car (the bikes admittedly are much faster (and cheaper)). One more thing: bring mosquito repellant - there's quite a lot of standing water throughout the place and I got bit a few times (nothing major), but worth thinking about!

The personnel and environment within the complex.

We usually travel to 5 star resorts. With exceptions for culturally unique vibing places. This was definitely culturally unique and the consequence is that the facilities were not 5 star, but the price isnt either. Overall, the 9 is very well deserved. Taking into account the price and what you get in return. A magnificent place with beautiful statues and koi karps swimming under your house and around the resort.

The owner and all the staff are extremely nice and helpful. At departure, our taxi driver didn't show up and the owner immediately called a taxi for us at 05:30am. The hotel is in a beautiful environment. The statues and monuments in the courtyard are even more gorgeous than the tourist sights. The room is big and comfortable. The food is delicious, especially the Chicken Satay! I would highly recommend this place to stay in Bali!

The only thing to improve could be to put some shelves in the bathroom. There's nowhere to put our stuff around the sink.

I have been in many places in Bali and I can confirm: this is the perfect place to rest, surrounded by nature, quiet, connection and confort. We stayed for 2 nights with our 2 year old child and had the best time. We didn't felt that we needed to leave the place. We could have stayed for much longer. The villa is surrounded by ricefields. You enter the rice fields with the hotel buggy, they help with all the luggage. Then you pass beautiful temples and then you get to the villa. The room was confortable, the pool really relaxing. All the staff was great and the hosts were very friendly and helped us with all the things we needed.

The first thing you notice is that you are picked up by a golf cart from the place where you have to park your car so that you do not have to walk to the complex yourself (by the way, this is not only done upon arrival but constantly when you leave or return. Neat service!.) These villas are located on an impressive temple complex that is owned by the family of the manager. Apparently celebrities have also visited the place in the past, as can be seen in a photo where Steven Seagal is on (who has built up in the meantime a questionable reputation because of his ties with Russia and Putin in particular 😁) The villa where we stayed for 2 nights with 1 bedroom with a view on the pool and the rice fields was certainly sufficient in terms of space with an excellent bed (a little bit too short for someone of 1.93 meters but nevertheless fine to sleep in) there is also air conditioning, TV and free WiFi in the room, a dressing table with mirror and a cupboard to store your clothes. The bathroom on the other hand is outdated and should (must) definitely get an update with a shower curtain that in my opinion is hung on a bit of strange place, furthermore it is noticeable and I think that is a minus point that there are no power points where you can charge your phone for example, normally you see that in other accommodations at the bedside table but there was only a lamp on it. I notice one in the bathroom which is not enough. The breakfast is very good (included), you can choose from a number of things and choose a drink as well. The omelette and banana pancake were certainly tasty. Despite the fact that Denpasar is a busy city, you are in a serene peace on this complex and you only hear the birds and geckos in the background. Only I did not understand why the room was not cleaned after the 1st night and that the bed was made up and towels changed. Certainly needed to mentioned is that the staff is very friendly and Adi the manager tries to help you in every way.

A wonderful homestay where the people are as splendid as the land itself. The owners have a magical home temple right on the property. The aroma of incense, sounds of nature, and delightful breakfast, we loved it all. A pool is located right near the rooms with perfect water temperature to refresh and relax. The entire property is located amid vibrant rice paddies, a scene of serene beauty that inspires awe and soothes the soul. Truly, a place of wonder, a place of magic.

We had an amazing stay befofe leaving Bali in a beautiful room with a terrace overlooking peaceful rice fields. Nestled inside the nicest temple we’ve seen in Bali, the setting felt truly special and serene. The pool was the perfect place to relax. The staff were incredibly kind, hospitable, and hardworking, making the experience even more enjoyable. A perfect peaceful retreat—I highly recommend it!

However, if you're looking to stay more in the center of the action, this might not be the place for you. It’s ideal for those seeking peace and tranquility.

This is such a unique, special property. There are rice fields surrounding you and a temple inside which is beautiful. The staff and especially the owner are extremely kind. It is a bit out of the way from much in terms of walking, but perfect if you want to have a peaceful time but be close enough by grab or motorbike to do whatever you want. It is slightly on the rustic side, but SO worth it for the atmosphere and surroundings. It is still very comfortable and clean with AC, good WiFi, a comfy bed, good water pressure with hot water, clean pool, restaurant on site, etc. Plus there are kittens on the property 🥰 I loved it

Villa D'Carik looks better in person! My family and I had a wonderful time and the premises is quite massive. The weather was amazing and it made the stay even better. You can really hear the peaceful nature sounds. The property has many temples and they look quite cool, it really adds to the atmosphere. The food and service was amazing. The host was super helpful and responds to any query I have.

The bathroom could look a little better, but I've seen worse! The sunbed mat near the pool needs to be cleaned.
