Stunning hotel. Beautiful room, beautiful facilities. Last but not least very friendly staff. Little oasis of calm in a very busy neighbourhood. Super convenient for stay after or before flight as close to the airport. Definitely would stay again.

The team was incredibly kind, polite, and always ready to help. Each room had its own distinct character, beautifully decorated with an exquisite touch. The breakfast menu was thoughtfully curated to match the hotel’s elegant concept, making every morning a delightful experience. The owner, Ms. Zohra, is an exceptionally humble and gracious person, adding a warm and personal touch to our stay. On the night we were there, we had the pleasure of enjoying an outdoor cinema experience—such a magical and unforgettable touch! If you’re looking for a place that blends elegance, comfort, and impeccable hospitality, this is the perfect choice. Highly recommended!

Overall we had a very nice stay. The room was nicely laid out, with everything you need for a short stay. Complimentary afternoon tea was very nice. Gave us a chance to sample some Balinese snacks. Complimentary yoga in the morning was a nice touch. You could take part or not, but it was a nice way to start the day. The grounds were nicely manicured. The entrance leading up to the hotel is not great but once you actually entered the outdoor reception area it was very nice. Very unique decor throughout the hotel, from the grounds, dining areas and rooms. Three nice pool areas. A very pleasant welcome with a complimentary drink and a nice walk around introduction to the room and facilities available.

Some areas of the room and hotel were beginning to look a bit tired, we had a broken drawer unit in our room. We did report it to reception but nothing happened. For the nightly cost I think I would have liked it to be a bit sharper.

This is a beautiful hotel. Everything about it is exceptional, from the grounds to the restaurant, the rooms and the decor. I decided to treat myself on my final week of travelling and I'm so glad I did. Bali is a little busy and noisy for my liking so I barely left the hotel. The serenity and peace was perfect and I spent the whole time barefoot and floating around the place reading, eating and drinking cocktails - dreamy. The staff in particular are wonderful - so happy and accommodating, I was sad to say goodbye!

This is a small thing and entirely personal but they have the most beautiful Shala and I would've loved a strong yoga practice. Alas, I think the teaching caters for no/little knowledge of yoga rather than anyone with a strong practice. That said, it didn't take away from my stay!

Well, where do you start? The grounds of this hotel are breathtaking, we didn’t want to actually leave to see anything. We stayed in the teak house at the end of the property which was still nice and close to the breakfast area and there are multiple swimming pools to chill out around. Some evenings there is entertainment and a fire pit. The breakfasts are phenomenal, the staff are like old friends! It was really hard to actually leave the place. I would highly recommend staying here.

The most ridiculous ‘criticism’ is that I wanted a cold swimming pool and they are all like baths. So please ignore this remark :)

+ We were upgraded to a suite which was very much appreciated and helped make our celebration feel extra special. + The grounds, buildings and room decor were stunning. + Very tranquil. + Breakfast, afternoon tea, lunch and dinner were all excellent, showing that at any time of the day the food was great. The best breakfast we have had at any accommodation, and very generous. + The staff members were all very warm and professional, especially Jimmy and Angel. They struck just the right balance of being friendly without being intrusive.

- We were warned beforehand that the bathroom plumbing was a bit temperamental. Indeed it was, but with a little patience the shower water warmed up. We didn't use the beautiful bathtub as water leaked from the pipe but we weren't fussed about using the tub. - The air conditioner didn't get cool enough for us but this seems to be an issue with most accommodation in Bali. - It took a few requests to be provided with extra pillows but might be because we needed ones not made with feathers.

I’ve been fortunate to travel the world and stay in some of the finest hotels, but nothing prepared me for the Balquisse Heritage Hotel. From the moment I stepped onto the property, it felt like stepping into another world—one where time slows down, and every detail invites you to breathe, pause, and simply be. Walking into my room was like opening the pages of a fairy tale. The soft lighting, rich textures, and thoughtful touches made it feel less like a hotel and more like a sanctuary. For the first time in my travels, I didn’t rush to unpack or plan my day—I just stood there, taking it all in. It wasn’t just a beautiful room; it was a place that made me feel like I belonged, like I was being treated as something more than a guest. The food was unforgettable. Each bite felt like a celebration of flavor, crafted with care and creativity. Yet, what stayed with me the most was the people. The staff didn’t just provide service; they welcomed me with open hearts. Every interaction felt warm, genuine, and personal—as though I were a long-lost friend, not just a visitor. When I think of Bali now, it’s the Balquisse that comes to mind first. I’d return to this magical island just to experience that sense of wonder and connection all over again. It’s not just a hotel; it’s a place that touches your soul.

There wasn't anything I did not like about the hotel. Not one thing.

The welcoming staff, the incense at the front gate, the little protection bracelet on arrival. Cold water served by the pool. The evening turn down with an option of insect repellant. The break fast. The pools. The decor , art everywhere and interesting antiques and artefacts, the pool table and library. Easy access to a couple of. Great dining options. Easy access to the airport

Loved it all we didn’t want to leave.

It’s like being in France but with Balinese hospitality. The grounds are lovely the rooms spacious with comfortable beds. There are many small, yet delightful, touches in the rooms and on offer to make your stay even more enjoyable. Afternoon tea and evening activities are a stand out. The food is excellent. Breakfast was by far the best in Bali.

As mentioned in previous reviews the bathrooms are soaked after showering. Getting in and out of the bath is rather precarious! There are no showers near the pool areas - this is a hygiene issue. The sun-bed mattresses are stained with mould and or bird poop. Access in/out of pools is difficult. The pool decking has many, seemingly unnecessary, steps. The hotel is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

the pictures were not deceiving, it really looked good and the experience was good. food at th eproperty was also on the mark in terms of taste and options The rooms were well organised - could have used a towel rack - which was the only thing missing but the rest all was perfect

no shower - you had to use the Tub and the hand held shower that was attached with the tub. slipped a few times - You could slip and have a nasty fall.
