fairly typical Balinese hotel. Two good size pools, one with a swim up bar, the other had a bar alongside. Great location in the heart of Legian withe any number of cafes, restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk.

As a 70 yr old I found the rooftop pool very difficult to get in and out of. there was only one ladder, the rungs were very smooth, round metal, no flattened tread to make it easier to bear my weight as I tried to climb out. The rungs were also 50-60cm apart which made it almost impossible for me to haul myself out without help. After several failed attempts I made one last attempt before calling for help and that time I managed it!

The building is aging and fittings are a bit tired Breakfast not good value do not recommend opting for paying for brekky in advance There are much better brekky venues within 5 mins walk such as Pad on Bene just around the corner

Everything. Value for money is incredible. The hotel is very central, in a safe area that was safe for a young girl to walk around alone at night time. Both the hotel staff and the locals were extremely friendly, helpful, and kind. There are shops, pharmacies, shopping centres, international and local restaurants, and bars all within a 5-15 minutes walk, and the local Uber-like company, Grab, is very cheap for scooter rides, car rides, and food or grocery delivery. the beach is a 5-minute walk away, and there are mini-marts both across the road from the hotel and one in the lobby of the hotel. There are two great pools, one more tranquil on the rooftop, as well as a hotel spa and restaurant. The rooms are very spacious, with large balconies, overlooking a garden with local trees and the main pool. There was a minibar, which supplied two free bottles of water, coffee, and tea each day, and daily housekeeping was available. The hotel was super clean, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I would 100% stay at this hotel next time I visit Bali, and recommend it to anyone else visiting. The property had everything we needed from a minimart to a restaurant, two pools both with swim up bars, live music, spa salon which was so serene and beautiful and the staff were amazing. Catered to our every need!

The rooms smell musty like when the air is damp but after a couple days, you don’t notice it so much and I don’t think it’s a problem with this particular hotel, I think it’s the same anywhere you go in Bali, with the humidity. It felt like it would be a problem when we first arrived but it didn’t bother at all for the rest of our stay, especially with the aircon running the whole time.

Reception staff were variable, some excellent but a couple were found to be wanting and provided poor hospitality service. Plumbing issues on both of our past visits

My usual stay when in Bali. Great price and location. Comfy beds, good aircons, 2 pools 1 with swimup bar. Restaurant.with good well price food.😊

Could do with some extra lounge chairs around the pools and some sun umbrellas at the rooftop pool

Location is great, terrific value for money, staff are lovely, rooms are clean and comfortable. It is at the cheaper end of the market so don’t expect luxury but good value, clean and well maintained and staff are friendly and helpful. Food is pretty good eg their restaurant and room service, and bar is good and well stocked.

Pool can get little bit noisy, especially “happy hour” but …. Pool closes at 8pm so was fine at night.

Loved our pool access room air conditioner was a bit loud & could have been a bit cooler but other than that all was god. The location of the Hotel is fantastic close to great restaurants, great shopping & plenty of massage salons. Pool was clean & refreshing sometimes hard to get a banana lounge but only had to wait a bit before one became available. Breakfast is basic but enough to start your day. Staff were lovely & friendly.

A few friends we were holidayung with had toilet issues in their rooms that lasted 2 days. They weren’t able to use their toilets & were told to use the pool toilets while they were sorting the issue. 2 days & nights is not good to be without a toilet in your room.

We are long term guests here, staying for several months. We choose Champlung Mas because the staff are exceptional and really friendly and helpful with our infant daughter, and the value for money is exceptional. The rooms are older but spacious, the breakfast cheap and ample, and the two pools perfectly fine, as well a small pool for very small kids. We've stayed here before, and this trip will be 3.5 months total. We will no doubt be back, because we see no reason to go anywhere else.
