Very comfortable place to stay in Malang and everyone working the desk are so kind and helpful! It’s tucked away on a quiet street which is perfect if you are doing Mt Bromo or the waterfall tours (very early pickups!) they were also able to assist in getting tours situated before I arrived. There’s a few coffee shops nearby (Starbucks is next door but there are some local ones just a few min walk away!) and a really great restaurant (depot Tanjung api was soo delicious!) all within walking distance. Would definitely recommend and would stay again

Really beautiful place in a really nice part of Malang. We felt so comfortable. The rooms are spacious, modern, clean and beautiful. They have everything you need. There’s a common area with a fridge and appliances for eating. The owner is really nice and helpful. Good location, supermarket and many restaurants in the area. We loved our stay here. We also could check in in the middle of the night after arriving via night train.

Staff were very helpful and friendly and the location was great for places to eat close by and one of the best laundry services we’ve had in our travels was just around the corner. The tour operator provided by the host was very helpful although a bit on the expensive side compared to others we found after the fact.

Our sink leaked and there was a leak from the ceiling/air conditioner as well. Not much for facilities and no food on site. You are charged extra for everything including the use of a third towel. Which was annoying because we just wanted a third as a hand towel.

Clean, comfortable room with a little terrace. Very friendly and helpful staff. Even though they did not serve breakfast, we got a tea and coffee when we asked for it. Altogether good value for money. Nice cafés with many students in the area, and also lovely places for breakfast.

Towels smelled after two days, but we got them exchanged immediately. There was a restaurant at the back of the hotel which we heard in our room. It did not bother us as we anyways got up early for Bromo and Tumpak Sewu, but if you have light sleep it might.

Staff is very nice and warmly. And the room is clean. Environment is nice. Location is convenient and quiet here. The hotel recommended the tour to us and give us a lots of information. Some staff’s English is not very well, but very helpful. We can use Google translate to communicate.

The bed is quiet hard for me. If can have one more free blanket will be great as we have two people with a large bed, I don’t want to share the blanket:)

Friendly, helpful and flexible staff (especially with the earlier check in after a night train ride), the area is very nice.

While the natural lights in the bathroom are a nice touch, after sunset the whole room will get very dark and basically you have to use the lamps all day with curtains closed. This is a design flaw of the hotel, maybe a little tinkering and playing with the lights could help. Other than this small thing, everything was great.

The guest house is located in a relatively quiet area. It is easy to walk through the old neighborhood to avoid traffic pollution and noise and reach the main tourist attractions. The room was clean, and the staff was ready to help. Breakfast would have been a plus, mainly because there is no grocery store or local bakery around the guest house except for an international chain cafe.

Super location in the heart of the heritage, upmarket part of the city. Second time using this brand, and just as good as the first. Excellent, friendly and helpful staff, cute interior design and comfortable, decent sized rooms. Excellent selection of breakfast venues close by and OK restaurants within walking distance.

Nothing to dislike.

The Cozy was a haven of tranquillity in Malang. Spotless; lovely linen & towels, piping hot water, quiet, large room with comfy bed & tea/coffee facilities. Close to restaurants and supermarket. Lovely welcome and attentive staff. We would highly recommend.
