Located in Little India. Many eateries and bakeries nearby. Mini-marts and two shopping malls a few minutes away. Staff friendly and efficient. Check in and out was a breeze. Thin blanket, towels and drinking water were given upon checking in. Instructions were clearly given. There is a separate locker for shoes located outside the capsule room and a bigger locker for luggages in the capsule room. Anyone with huge backpack or luggage will really have difficulty fitting into the luggage locker. There is no elevator and female room is on the second level and male is on the third. Capsule is of decent size and comfortable. There is a key card to access the pod and also to turn on the lights just like a hotel room. Adequate lightings in the pod and comes with 2 USB slow charging port. No power point in the pod. Power point is located in the common area. Air con is strong. No complains regarding wifi connection. There is even a TV if ever it is working. Overall, very quiet and peaceful. Shared bathroom has 2 shower stalls and 2 toilets. Probable will be insufficient should the property be full house.

The staff was lovely. The capsule is nice, it gives a lot of privacy, lots of buttons to play with. The location is good, right inside India town with the gates on either side of the place. They're happy to store luggage. It was clean. Nice coffee and food options right outside.

Just a note for those that paid online: there's a 100k deposit. In another currency is not good for them. Worst case turn to your right, there's a mall there. Go inside, down the escalator, and there's a whole lot of ATMs to choose from on your right. People inside the mall are happy to guide you there

The capsule comes with a USB charging port and mirror which I found useful. Rooms are separate base on gender. Men rooms are on higher floor and is accessible only through staircase. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. A shoes locker outside the room and a luggage locker is provided during the stay.

My capsule door was hinged type. (Although I prefer sliding type. Easier to get in/out, save space) Shower cap holder was not adjustable. Shower gel and towel hanger were provided but there was no shelf for toiletries inside the bathroom. My capsule was the last along the corridor / right next to the window so I was waken up a few times by the noise of cars, bikes and bed squeaking sound. Bring a earplug if you are a light sleeper.

Comfortable beds, clean facilities, two shower rooms, two toilets, and two spacious sinks—all well-lit. It's conveniently located in Little India with plenty of food vendors and cafes nearby. The cafe on the ground floor serves as a common area for guests. They provide indoor sandals and foot lockers.

I slept in a capsule under the AC the first night, and it was freezing. It might not bother those who like it cold. But my second night was fine since I avoided the AC. Note that due to its location in a lively area, you might hear some distant street sounds inside the capsule. It's something to consider if you prefer a quieter environment.

i love this hostel much better then i think. Super clean and the staff was friendly. The sheets smell good. i love everything especially the toilet. At night there was a street vendor in front of the hostel. Near to city center and train station. Very quite at night and it's good for me to rest. Free one bottle mineral water and they provide us free water refill in second floor.

That's actually pretty expensive if you compare to other similar hotels in Indonesia. No breakfast included, and the café at the ground floor doesn't open in the morning. The staff is not friendly at all.

Stayed one night at Red Capsule Hostel before my flight — it was a great choice for a short stay. The capsule was clean, comfortable, and the facilities seemed well-kept. I didn’t have time to explore much, but from what I saw, it’s a solid spot for a quick stopover in Medan. Would consider staying again for a longer visit.

I liked the whole concept of being in a capsule, and from the inside, it really does look like the pictures - everything is adjustable in your little space shuttle. It's a decent value for the money, and the staff seems nice. Everything seems clean, and the capsule concept gives you a lot of privacy.

Well, I've got to say, Medan as a whole city has left quite a bad impression on me (of course, the staff of the hotel is not to be blamed for it). However, in the city that is number one in criminal and gangs attacks in whole Indonesia, I feel like the staff of the hostel should learn to speak better English. I was very afraid because of some attacks that happened and it didn't help that the staff used Google translate for very basic communication. They were very nice though, so I don't hold a big grudge, I just think that should improve. And the bathroom was kinda working improperly, at least the one I was in.

A very central hostel with plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby. The receptionist speaks good English and is very helpful. Highly recommended! Tip: Bring a USB charger, as the capsule only has USB ports—power outlets are available only outside.
