The infinity pool overlooking the ocean. Could watch the surfers and fisherman. Plenty of pool lounges for all guests. Location quiet. So peaceful. Only four huts. We had two huts between 4 of us. Can walk to Mushroom beach in 7min, can walk to coconut beach 10min Jungut Batu along beach cliffs 15 min. Amazing value for price. Air con good and beds very comfortable. Amazing view from bedroom out over the water. Is halfway between the two main tourist areas. Needing to walk or taxi to restaurants for dinner/lunch.

Could use some maintenance. Pool decking rickety. Not great drainage in toilets. Location away from convenience of lots of restaurants.

We loved our stay at D’Muncuk. The Location was fantastic, right on Tamarind Beach. The facilities are fairly basic, but everything we really needed. Our hut was great and the view from the deck was beautiful overlooking the pool and beyond. On our second to last night we awoke to the majestic view of Mount Agung which we could see from our deck. The pool was fantastic with an unobstructed view looking out all the way to the mainland of Bali. We could watch the fishing boats coming in in the morning while drinking our coffee with their fresh catch and enjoy a drink by the pool in the afternoon. This is a small locally owned and run guest accommodation. Sugi, one of the owners, said he is the fifth generation on this land. The family and staff were wonderful and very helpful. The space was always clean and quiet, except of course, for the roosters In the morning, which we didn’t mind as we are usually early rises anyway. We would definitely stay here again as it is quite central to most areas on the island.

Beyond some general maintenance, this place was perfect for us.

staff were great, the view from the room was fantastic and room looks better than in the picture! bed was comfortable and with mosquito net too. all facilities needs. extra great points for reusable glass water refill- BRAVO!

there are two spot lights that didnt quite turn off fully- i like the room pitch black when i sleep. missing privacy curtains so i can still have natural light when im changing. the road leading to the place is full of pot holes, so be weary if you dont have your own scooter

What a fabulous spot. Amazing veiw, pool and staff were si caring. Lovely comfortable hut, super clean, great air conditioning and shower. Really lovely turn down service at night. Some lovely spots to eat close by, Warung Kevin and Tales. Shortcut to Mushroom Beach 10-15 minutewalk. Lots of restaurants offer free pick up and drop off and also free delivery. Super relaxing. Have booked again for November.

Beautiful location in Tamarind Bay, right on the water. Amazing that there is only 4 huts so very private. Pool was amazing right on the water and we never swam with anyone else. Room was pretty basic Bali hut, no frills. They did make our room up multiple times a day and laid mosquito net over bed at dusk which was a lovely touch. Staff were amazing in organising anything you need - scooters, laundry, tours etc. for very reasonable price. We were organised a tour to do snorkelling with Manta Rays which was just us 2 (beat the touristy crowds) and a local man on his boat - AMAZING!!

Location is pretty isolated. Easy shortcut to take to Mushroom Bay on foot (15mins). There are a few restaurants on tamarind bay that were pretty good, but not a lot happening. ONLY confident/ competent drivers on scooters as the road leading to property is pretty terrible, steep and rocky in parts.

Quiet, tranquil location, just a little further away from the bustle of the rest of this small island. With only 4 ‘huts’ it really is very picturesque and peaceful. Mr Wyan was a great host, and escorted us to a walkable short cut to the street taking us to shops, restaurants, spas and a few minutes further, Mushroom beach. The pool overlooking the beach is picture-postcard!

I would be clutching to find fault with this property, but as a woman I would like better lighting in the bathroom.

The rooms are freestanding, very clean, and the bed was super comfortable. We had room 3 which had hot water in the shower. With only 4 rooms, it often felt like you had the place to yourself. Relaxing in the pool while overlooking the ocean was magic, and it is interesting to watch the fishermen. Breakfast was basic but good. You can walk along the beach in either direction when the tide is out. It was a fabulous place to relax and chill out. We hired a scooter to make getting around the island easier. It's much quieter than Bali so riding slowly is not an issue. Just keep an eye out for potholes!

It would be nice to have some shade over the pool during the day.

We had a lovely stay in one of the huts. The place was located next to a beach that felt like a private beach, literally out the pool down the stairs into the beach. Staff members were super friendly and helpful. Ground keeper gentleman who manages the rooms can help you arrange scooter hire and fuel refills on a daily rate as this is a must for getting around the island/Nusa. The lady that works in the morning will clean your room and cook fresh breakfast ( pancakes, fried rice/noodles or bacon omelet). Huts are cleaned several times a day and the pool is kept clean. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend a stay. PS: the view of the beach, fishing boats floating on the blue waves and sight of the mainland Bali was amazing every morning at breakfast.

Smaller roads in Nusa L are notoriously bad so be careful riding a scooter.

You take your breakfast 5m from the sea with a wonderful view. Note that at high tide you'll have to walk 2 min along the coast to get to the beach where you can chill. The bungalows are simple, but they are functional and do what you need them to do. I liked the mosquito net around the bed, but that's personal taste. The swimming pool gives amazing views at sunset/in the evening. It's perfectly located if you plan a short stay and/or if you are diving at the nearby center (Tamarind) and eating at the nearby Warung Kevin (very good imo). Otherwise it's a bit remote from the rest and you'll either walk 20 min in the dark or call a driver.

The location was amazing, just in the sea. You could hear the waves breaking just there! Very peaceful and lovely. The staff was also very nice. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was cleaned every day properly. And also it smelled really good.

The bathroom needed some maintenance. Another thing is something that happens in every single wooden bungalow is that lizzards get inside and often poop on the bed (actually they poop on the ceiling but falls down to the bed) but this is not the hotel’s fault, it happens in any hut, and most hotels in the island are huts. I just would have loved to know beforehand. But actually the bed had these curtains around it and that was very helpful to keep it clean that and from bugs.
