I loved the location, staff, ambience and mood it created. I have zero complaints. Get the sea view rooms!

Pathway to the main road needs to be fixed.

Awesome location - sea side. Beautiful view. Infinity pool at adjoining restaurant and one more in complex. Adjoining restaurant food quality is very good though the spread was limited. Got help from staff to get the luggage moved between boat drop off and resort. Inland transportation available nearby.

The place could be better maintained. A bit run down. Rooms are a little on the smaller side. No provision for breakfast. No room service. Have to walk out of the complex for breakfast. Have to walk 500 mtrs from the place you get down from the boat- path not easy to drag wheeled luggage. Reception closed and staff gone by 10:00 pm. No one available.

A huge thank you to Mushroom Bay Bungalows. Value for money with a view like this is unheard of! I booked on a whim, when I saw other reviews and was blown away! Right on the beach with a restaurant/chill area with pool right on the beach. We watched the waves breaking each night and has great food from the menu. Nothing was too much for the staff and they were always attentive with huge smiles. If you are looking for 5 star this spot is not for you. If you want a place that feels like home, is clean, with the most amazing views and all the essentials, this is the winner. Extremely well priced, great pools (x 2) our bungalow No. 1 has views directly looking out at the ocean, it might be a 3 star and of so slightly "tired" after the country reopening after covid but we will be back again and we will be staying much longer than 4 days. This is a little bit of paradise. We enjoyed watching dolphins jumping in the bay on two afternoons and there is a small black tipped (read harmless bottom feeder) shark that was nicknames Shelly The Shark that swims all day up and down the little gully looking for food. We snorkelled right off the beach at the bungalows and saw almost all of the Finding Nemo tank fish.. except for Nemo but that didn't matter, it was amazing. Do yourself a favour and book, if you are chilled and not OCD about every little detail and not 5 star resort people. THIS IS YOU SPOT!

We loved this place so much. The staff were so lovely, attentive and helpful, especially the bar tender. This was a big family trip with my parents, sisters and our respective partners. There was lots of space for us to hang together and separately. Two pool with stunning views, easy access to the beach, restaurants and ferry from the mainland. There were many days we didn’t leave the accom as everything we needed was there. Food, pool table on the roof top, pools, drinks, view, beach and gorgeous staff. Reception staff organised taxis for us too. We loved this place and will definitely be back.

My partner and I were in one of the back bungalows and the bathroom got really wet after the shower. Another form of drainage is potentially required as the water stayed for quite a while

Loved that you can use the Why Not pool and bar and have direct access to the stunning beach! Location is really good for breakfast and dinner too!

The place is very tired and generally needs some TLC!!! When we were there, their restaurant was closed for renovation. They don't service your room throughout your stay or give you new bottles of water.

This place probably has the best location in Mushroom Bay. It is right on the water at the end of the beach. Great spot to watch the sunsets. The cabin was nice and roomy with a large veranda that looked across the pool to the view of the bay. The bed was large and comfortable with air con in the room. The view of the bay from the bar area is stunning. It was so nice to just sit there watching the water and boats in the bay. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food menu wasn't very big but everything we tried tasted great. Over all we loved this place and would go back again

The whole place is looking a bit dated and needs a refresh/refurb. The grounds and pool were lovely but all seem to need a bit of maintenance / updating. Given that everything needs a bit of work I considered the price per night was a little high for the quality of the place. There were little things like the water would stop working occasionally and the wifi was patchy but they were minor things and you are on a island with limited resources

Arrived by fast ferry from Sanur to Mushroom Bay, looked to end of beach and there was our accommodation. An easy walk along waterfront and up a flight of stairs from the beach. Walking into the area felt like we had stepped back in time to a different era with a sense of charm. Greeted at a relaxed reception area and even though we were a little early we were shown to our bungalow. There was some contruction going on at the premises but nothing was a hassle or bother. All staff and work crew greeted us with a smile and the language barrier not an issue. We hired a scooter each from the Bungalows and headed off to explore the island. Easy place to look around and enjoyed our time. Scooteres well maintained and safe. On return to the Mushroom Bungalows we had the choice of two pools to swim in, both with view of the bay, lovely big lounges to lay on in the sun or under shade of trees and umbrellas. The gardens are well maintained and very established, so many colourful frangipanis. Great atmosphere in the bar area with perfect seating looking out to enjoy the sunset. Slept well in our room, which has air-conditioning if you require it. Was lovely to hear the waves crashing on the beach below in the night. If you want a relaxed, affordable and comfortable place to stay head to the Mushroom Beach Bungalows. Highly recommend and we plan to return one day.

The hotel is in the perfect spot, right on the bay. It has the best view as it’s high up and you can view the whole bay. They even have an infinity pool, and another pool. The staff were great (miss them already), and the price was crazy cheap. But, the hotel itself needs some TLC. If the hotel had the investment like some others on the island, this could be 5*, but if you don’t mind your accommodation being slightly dated and rough around the edges, this is perfect. We loved it.

The place needs some real TLC, but they are doing the best they can with what they have. I’ll certainly be back.

Location! It was fantastic! And the vibe of the place was amazing. Also, the staff were top-notch. Mushroom Beach is the best beach we found, and the cafes around it were good (also, Wrung bombom is amazing and cheap nearby)

Rooms were dated, and doors were tough to close and keep closed without locking deadlock. Also our rooms had outside bathrooms which were not ideal for mosquitoes - this is nit picking though, we loved the stay!

Loved this place. After reading some reviews I was expecting some issues, but you know, some people eh ;) Yep it is a tad rough around the edges in places, but we actually like that, and for the price what would you expect. The location is arguably the best on Mushroom Beach. Such a nice chill vibe with the Bar/Restaurant/infinity pool looking over the beach. Wasn't very busy when we were there, so had a lovely chilled vibe. Nice staff. And great massages near the room. We had 2 first floor bungalows right in front of the pool, so it was awesome for our young kids. Loved it!

Was a bit of clomping and windows rattling a lil bit at times with a heavy dude staying in the room above for one night. But you know, can't all be perfect.
