A Slice of Paradise at The Palms on Nusa Ceningan I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Palms on Nusa Ceningan, and it was everything I hoped for and more. This hotel combines the beauty of a stunning location with warm hospitality, amazing food, and incredible drinks – all making for a truly unforgettable stay. The location is unbeatable. Perched right above the ocean, The Palms offers some of the best sunset views I've ever seen. Each evening, we were treated to a sky painted in breathtaking colors, all while lounging by the infinity pool or relaxing in their cozy outdoor seating. It’s an experience that stays with you long after you leave. The food and drinks are outstanding as well. The on-site restaurant serves a fantastic range of dishes, each one better than the last. Whether you're in the mood for fresh seafood, local flavors, or a comforting international dish, the menu doesn’t disappoint. And the cocktails! Perfectly mixed, refreshing, and imaginative, they were the perfect complement to the tropical setting. Don’t miss the chance to sip one of their signature cocktails as you watch the sun dip below the horizon. The staff deserves special recognition. Every member of the team was warm, welcoming, and attentive to every detail. They truly go above and beyond, making us feel right at home while anticipating our every need. Their local knowledge was invaluable as they helped us explore the best spots on Nusa Ceningan, from hidden beaches to scenic viewpoints. To top it all off, the hotel is impeccably organized and well-managed. From the room amenities to the spotless pool and dining areas, it’s clear that the team at The Palms prioritizes every guest's comfort and experience. This place is a great find for families and couples looking for an escape from the other islands. It has been a few years since I ventured back and while there are a lot if new hotels and restaurants the islands quietness and charm are still present. As a surfer Secrets is right in front of the hotel. It's a great beach covered in sand at low and high tide and plenty of snorkeling wihen the surf is small. There are two swimming pools, shaded areas, lounge chairs and bar/restaurant to use until 9pm each day. Live music some nights and due to the small nature of the hotel was easy to meet other couples/families to enjoy the space. The staff are lovely were extremely helpful assisting with transfers, babysitters and responding to our needs. Thank you, Jordan and the rest of the team, for our stay.

Excellent view. Friendly, prompt staff. Ample chairs to sit outside with lots of shade. Lots of excellent restaurants just walking distance away for dinner or lunch. Excellent Spa just around the corner and also a convenience store. Looked at the surfers in the waves everyday. Love hearing the crashing of waves every night.

Couldn’t walk barefoot on old wooden deck at pool area. Even at check in they warned about splinters and to please wear shoes. Toilet in unit was not flushing. They sorted that within the hour. No hot shower that night. They fixed the pipe and exchanged the gas bottle the next morning. Breakfast wasnt really great. Was a set menu with limited options. Will be better not to prepay, so that you have more options to choose from on 2nd page. Make sure you book a room without the room above you. The wooden stairs going to second story is legit inside your room. Blocked off with wood, and the people stomp up and down that stairs from the early hours till late at night. Banging their wooden entry door. And you can hear every word they say, sneeze etc.

The location was excellent, rooms kept spotlessly clean, great choice of food that caters to all dietary requirement including vegetarian and vegan options, the staff were exceptional, attentive, polite, friendly, always available and polite. I highly recommend this place as it has everything that a large resort has yet has fewer rooms, which makes it more intimate and comfortable. The rooms are large and kept very clean, beds are comfortable. I cannot praise the staff enough.

Beautiful property on the cliff top with stunning ocean & coastline views . We stayed in Bungalow 1 with views from the gorgeous & very comfortable bed through to the pool area & ocean. The bungalow is well appointed & spacious. The staff & Jordan the manager were all very friendly, courteous & helpful. Also the location is great with a mini mart, laundry , restaurants & bars close by.

The concept of this hotel is simply amazing! We enjoyed the view on the sunset and sea out of the cozy infinity pool. The food was delicious and always fresh with a big variety. The prices were fair and good value for money. You must keep in mind it is an island. Jordan and the rest of the crew were outstanding and super friendly. They even managed to book us a snorkeling trip to Nusa Penida the night before with an incredibly professional guide, which made us feel safe all day long. The transport to and from the hotel was also organized by the hotel and was conducted by Rocky Fast Cruise which was also without complications! Once again thank you very much for an amazing stay!

The view from the accommodation was exceptional and the sound of the waves beating the beach was relaxing.The owners,jay and Wayne were so attentive to us and everyone on the property.The food was amazing ,especially the fish of the day!The island is beautiful,dream beach and the Snorkling was the highlight on the island adventures.We seen a turtle on the Snorkling trip,which was amazing.The trip organiser Jordon sorted us with a cheap motor bike hire and escorted us to the location for the trip,also escorted us on and off the island.Top man!PS cocktails were strong,which we liked and we even invited jay and Wayne to our wedding.That’s how much we loved our stay.Thanks for the bottle of fiz too on departure.Nice touch!👌

Amazing location with beautiful view overlooking the surf. My partner loved it especially as he could go surfing right out front every day and I could watch him from the deck which I enjoyed. Great spot for sunset too! The rooms are cleaned daily and shower is nice and hot with good pressure. Owners and staff are very friendly. Great value! Next time we would probably book a room with a view as ours was tucked behind the good view rooms. We loved the breakfast package which included a big pot of tea or coffee, fresh fruits and choice of main (we loved the omelette). They also have delicious oat milk which was a major bonus for me. Overall great value for money.

It can get quite hot during the day, and there isn’t a lot of natural shade, so a few more trees or shaded areas would make it even more comfortable. The property is run by Australian owners who are very friendly and helpful, but as we’re visiting from Australia ourselves, we would have personally preferred a bit more of a local touch in the day-to-day experience.

If you’re heading to an island off the coast of Uluwatu, this is the place to stay—skip Le Pirate. The waves out front are perfect for experienced surfers, giving you your own private break. The view is unbeatable, and the staff is warm, welcoming, and genuinely invested in your safety, comfort, and overall experience. The food was excellent, and the team was incredibly helpful and quick to respond on WhatsApp, accommodating every request like family. Places and people like this are rare. While it’s rated as a 3-star resort, it exceeded our expectations and felt like a 5-star stay to us. We’ll be telling our friends and coming back next year. Don't think twice about booking this place for your vacation.
