If you are looking for a quiet cozy place in Bali, I recommend you stay in this house. I was here for only a week in April, 2024 and, when it was time to return home, I had the feeling that I was leaving close relatives. Dana and his wife surround their clients with such attention and care. Every detail in the room has been lovingly thought out. The high ceiling creates a feeling of large space. Very clean. Wonderful relaxing smell. The room has Wi-Fi, air conditioning, electric kettle. A terrace (on which a table and two chairs) are surrounded by plants that provide coolness. You enjoy life on hot days here. You can order food over the phone and it will be delivered to you on a bike right to your door. If you want to enjoy the local flavor of the village - with the roosters crowing in the morning - the silence of the night - the rice fields - the black sand beach - stunning sunrises - this is the place for you. Stay here for at least a few days and you will want to come back again and again. Thank you, Dana, for the wonderful atmosphere!

Fantastic room, completely new! Amazing shower and bathroom. Bid terrace to sit outside with rice flies view. Extremely friendly and helpful host. Scooter rental available. About 30 min walk to beautiful and calm black sand beach with amazing sunsets. Good location to visit Tanah Lot by rental scooter, so can beat the crowds! Peaceful and scenic setting. Perfect lace to wind down after super touristy Ubud. Fantastic price money value. Best place we have had in 4 weeks on traveling Indonesia!

The property is super modern and recently built with a very fresh and contemporary atmosphere. Glass wall facing the lovingly maintained and lush garden lets in lots of light and creates a very spacious feeling. But the main star here is the lovely host who was always available for friendly chats and a goldmine of useful information. He provided so much helpful background details about restaurant openings and what was going on in the community. His recommended location for food JJ kedai is also an absolute gem which is an absolute must! It’s a classic …food served in the family compound surrounded my rare birds and beautiful nature! A couple of other very good food options require a motorbike but are absolutely worth it - Cliffhanger is quite western with prices to match but super quality food with a fabulous view …don’t be put off by the slightly scruffy entrance. The other is Martabak Pak De Sweet & Savory…small very new with some classic menu items worth trying ….well worth the detour!

Everything was great

Everything. Dana’s was probably my favourite place to stay during my time in Bali. The room was the best room I stayed in all month. Beautifully decorated and just one of three at the property, which is set in a stunning garden. Dewa and Sri are also my favourite hosts, going out of their way to look after their guests and make sure we enjoy our stay. Dewa took us on a sunrise walk to show us the area. Their little puppy Brony is also a member of the family. It is a sociable atmosphere as the rooms have a lovely shared terrace, so as a solo traveller it was easy to make friends with the other guests, and with Dewa the host, who I really enjoyed chatting to and learning about Balinese life. The area is very quiet, so it offers more of a relaxing time than busy sightseeing. You can walk to the beach in about 20-25 mins, nice at sunset. Although there isn’t a restaurant on site, Dewa helps you to order food from a local cafe which is delivered to your terrace.

There is nothing I didn’t like. It was all great. A scooter would be useful if you want to sight see. I was lucky enough to meet a fellow traveller that took me as passenger to see Tanaya Lot.

I just returned from an incredible stay at Dana’s House, and I can’t help but share my enthusiasm. This hotel has become a true oasis of tranquility and comfort. The rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated, and impeccably clean. The staff was incredibly friendly and responsive, always ready to help in any situation. The amenities at the hotel are also top-notch: a beautiful garden and numerous small touches that make the stay enjoyable.

1) The hotel is well maintained, clean and the owners take care of their guesthouse by thinking of all the little details in the guest would need in their room. 2) A very pleasant accommodation where you feel at home with beautiful rice fields around and the beach 20 minutes walk away. To relax with the family and looking for a quiet corner, this is an excellent choice that you will not regret. 3) The owner has even thought of installing a table and chairs on the roof to admire the sunrise and sunset, you will enjoy an excellent view and the songs of the birds! 4) If you are muslim there are 2 or 3 warung offering good Halal food around the accommodation so don't worry. Pak I couldn't say goodbye because the taxi couldn't find the hotel and we had to pick it up ourselves, I couldn't find you to say hello, anyway thank you for everything 🙂

We had a lovely stay at Dana’s house. The host is great! Helped us with food recommendations, got our laundry done and got us n scooter within 2 ours. When we left out taxi didn’t arrive so he arranged another driver for us. The room itself is very clean and nice. Nice comfy bed and a nice shower. You do have to rent a scooter cause there are very little grab/grojek drivers. Thank you so much Dawa we had a great stay!

I would really recommend staying here, everything was perfect. The host is amazing, very kind, helpful, speaks good english. He took us to see the local market, told us about balinese culture and arranged transport to our next accommodation. The room is like new, very clean and comfortable. Shower and toilet are separated, shower has hot water, shampoo and body wash. There is also toothpaste. Aricon is good. There is tv with Netflix. Near is a warung with very good and cheap food and also offers delivery to your room for free! The location is quiet, next to the ricefields, very calming, we loved it. If you like staying in more peacful places you must come here. This was the best stay we had in our three week trip to Bali.

Absolutly loved it! It is such a nice quiet area and perfect to go exploring the surrounding villages and have a long walk around the rice fields or beach. The homestay is super clean, neat and comfortable. Also everything I need is available and the host will help or recommend. It really felt like visiting friends because of the warm welcome and daily chats and recommendations. I rented a scooter and went to different villages, I enjoyed the sunset from the roof, tried different snacks from the local warungs and the host took me for morning sunrise walk through the ricefields. Perfect spot if you want some peace and quiet and amazing views. Authentic Bali for me. 10/10 Dewa thank you so much for your warm welcome and kindness. Your place was a treat

Dana's House is surrounded by rice fields. Very pretty environment and quiet as well. The hosts are very friendly and helpful in any ways. The house is brand new and has a lot of style. The shower is very hot and everything works just beautifully. The bed is really comfortable as well. You can rent a scooter directly from the host in order to get around. A few warungs are close by but it makes sense to bring a little bit of food with you. Especially if you care for certain items. Other than that I felt very comfortable and welcome there. This place has very good vibs and is designed with lots of love :) If you look for a quiet get-away - that is definitly a great option.
