Stayed at Hati Padi Cottages for a night, and honestly, I wish I had stayed longer. It’s one of those places that feels like a little escape. Away from Ubud crowd, quiet, and surrounded by nothing but greenery and the sound of nature. The staff were super friendly, the kind of people who actually seem happy to be there. Check-in was smooth, and my room was simple but had everything I needed. No AC, but you don’t really need it, the cool air at night and the sounds of crickets make for the best kind of sleep, especially in this rainy season. I spent the evening just enjoying the view from my porch, and having dinner at their restaurant (which, by the way, serves really good food). I also recommend to woke up early and grabbed a coffee and just sat there watching the mist over the fields. If you’re looking for a fancy resort, this isn’t it. But if you want a place that feels real, where you can actually slow down and enjoy Bali, this is perfect. I’ll definitely be back.

Surrounded by rice fields, it's a little piece of paradise away from the hustle and bustle. The staff is always smiling and super friendly, and if you have any requests they are ready to accommodate you. The restaurant offered a wide selection of food, all delicious and super yummy. Before arriving we were worried that there might be a lot of mosquitoes but this was not the case, they also passed every night to spray a mosquito spray and the room was equipped with a net around the bed (although in the pictures it didn't show one). It was very relaxing falling asleep with the sounds of the animals and the nature all around us! The property is half an hour from Ubud by car and despite its location we had no problem finding places to eat around that were also within walking distance. If you don't want to walk they offer different transportation services you can choose from. They also have many other complementary activities they offer, tours, massages, cooking classes and so on. A 10/10 experience, if I ever come back to Bali I will for sure book again!

Hati Padi is a nice small (6 cottages) remote resort amidst ricepaddies. The location is beautiful although remote. It is approx. 8 km from Ubud, but due to traffic jams it will take 45 minutes to 1 hr to get to Ubud. Grab will charge you somewhere around 6-8 euro's. Scooters are no option especially in the evenigs/atnight. Be carefull due to the remote location it could be that it will be hard to get a ride back, from Ubud to Padi Hati, at night (f.e. after drinks) as Grab drivers are not fond of making the trip. No customers on the way back. If you want to stay in the area because Ubud is way to hectic, then this is the place for you. Nice cottages, no airco but ceiling fans and nice open air bathrooms. The large beds have mosquito nets. Due to vegetation this place was cool. For us the ceiling fan was sufficient. Fine pool which overlooks the rice paddies. Breakfast is good. Choose eggs and toast or pancakes or fried rice & coffee/tea and fruit salad or juice Euro 5,- The restaurant/bar is cozy and well decorated. The cottages are quite 'open' but were clean and I didn't notice any insects. We left doors and windows open during the day for ventilation. This didn't feel uncomfortable. As we didn't intend to visit Ubud a lot, we had a very relaxing stay at this place. So question is, what do you want? Relaxing in a natural Bohemian location, out of the action, with every now and then a Grab ride. Hati Padi is the place for you. If you prefer the action, traffic jams, noise, hustle & bustle, being close to restaurants and bars, then stick to the hotels in or close to Ubud.

I booked the largest room (a whole bungalow), 125 sq m. An extraordinary Balinese house with very beautiful Balinese decorations! The pool is beautiful with a fabulous sunset! The rice was just planted, so it was small, but it was still nice! The services were very very good , also. We had everything we needed, we literally felt like home!! a mini outdoor kitchen in front of the room very conformable and nice! The food was great! A very very large bathroom, with a shower. I would always come back to this wonderful house when I'm in Ubud again! Congratulations!

I have seldom enjoyed a place as much as I liked it here! It is the perfect little place in the middle of rice fields located around half an hour from ubud centre! The entire stay was so seemless, as I was able to arrange everything through the hotel and very reasonable prices. The private transfers were pretty much what you’d pay for a grab anyway, so for the extra convenience I highly recommend this. Scooters are also readily available for you to explore ubud centre for a day. They also offer to arrange the mount batur tour for you (would also suggest doing this as a private tour through the hotel as I booked one in town and ended up will a group that didn’t even make it to the top of the mountain). Koming gives amazing massages, so booking one with her is a must do while you are here! The staff were all round amazing, and so was the food. My only regret is not spending my entire time in Bali here!

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful cottage in Ubud. The location, tucked away in the peaceful surroundings, provided the perfect setting for relaxation. The bungalow was charming, clean, and beautifully decorated, making us feel at home immediately. What truly stood out, however, was the amazing staff. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. The level of hospitality really made our stay special. Please note that the cottage is located right in the heart of nature. At night, it can get quite loud as you’ll hear all kinds of wildlife. This added to the authentic experience, but it’s something to keep in mind for light sleepers! All in all, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to experience Ubud’s beauty. We will definitely return and highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay! This would have taken our stay to the next level: • A small fridge in the room would be helpful for storing cold drinks or snacks. • Air conditioning, as the weather can get quite hot. • Mosquito spray or repellents provided in the room for extra comfort. These small additions would take an already wonderful stay to the next level!

Beautiful location in the rice fields, away from the busy parts of Ubud. It takes a bit longer to get to town so it’s good to plan this, but they offer scooters for rent, which helps you a lot in getting around. The cottages are very nicely decorated in a cozy rustic style and the restaurant offers very good food for all meals. Cleanliness in the rooms could be improved, but overall the facilities are very well mentained. We regret not having planned a day to just sit at the location and maybe walk through the rice fields in the area. The pool and garden offer you all you need for a day of relaxation.

My partner and I loved staying at this quaint cottage. The room was quite large, homey, and beautifully decorated. The mosquito net was a cute little touch, although we had no mosquito issues. The property was located in the middle of rice fields, promising a peaceful getaway. It was a shame we stayed during a cloudier day because the sunset view from the pool would have been spectacular. We also ordered dinner—satay and soto—and they were delicious!

For a room that size, I would have liked more lights. Notice how I say more and not brighter. It was a little challenging to find something in my luggage in the evening.

I did not expect the place to be this special, everything moves slower in the best way. No reception desk, no stiff hotel atmosphere, just warm welcomes and a place that feels loved. My room was open and simple, with a view that made me stop and take a breath every morning. The outdoor bathroom made me feel like I was showering in the middle of nature but with privacy. The food was the kind that makes you want to stay in and eat at the same place every day. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, and you can tell they care about what they serve. The banana pancakes in the morning and the tempeh at dinner were my favorites. If you need a place to reset, breathe, and just enjoy where you are, this is it. I left feeling lighter and already thinking about coming back.

This place is a work of art. It is so beautifully designed it sometimes takes your breath away. The Pool is really spacious and great to swim in and the view into the rice paddies is one of the most beautiful I have seen in Bali. The area is really quiet and remote and just beautiful and also Ubud is not far away. Max and Wayan lovingly run the place and go out of their way to help with things. There is a very cute cat also It is simply gorgeous, Also the food is very good and the chocolate fondant cake is one of the best cakes I have ever eaten. And I come from Vienna! Miss it allready and will surely come back. Corinna

The matress is a bit on the harder side, but this is not a negativ it is a matter of taste. I personally prefer soft matresses, but it was okay and I got used to it and then slept very well.
