This is a great spot and a quiet sanctuary in crowded and noises Ubud. Breakfast was decent and dinner really good. The staff were the real highlight here, so genuinely friendly and efficient. The pool is small but nice and the grounds are lovely. My only knock is that rooms advertised as facing a rice terrace are misleading- it’s just a backyard with rice facing other buildings outside the property- not true nature. Happy to recommend and would certainly return!

Komaneka was wonderful! The grounds and infinity pool were beautiful - like staying in peaceful tropical botanic gardens. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The restaurant was lovely, including the complimentary breakfast and afternoon tea. The room was excellent - beautiful, with all the facilities you'd need (e.g. chairs & table on my balcony to read outside, a lovely couch area to read inside if it was raining/too hot outside, a magnificent four-poster bed, huge bathroom with bath and large shower.) I loved the complimentary yoga class each morning at 9am, in an open-air space overlooking rice paddies. The location was great too - easy to walk to nearby attractions/shopping. I didn't want to leave! : )

The staff is amazing. They welcome you with a bug smile and a welcome drink. Komaneka's rooms are big, lightning, and specially clean. Housekipping does a great job cleaning the room twice a day. Guest service also amazing. The setting of the hotel is the best in Ubud, near by Ubud Palace, Art Market and Monkey Forest, so you can go everywhere walking. The street is full of souvenirs, cafes, restaurants and money changing. To sum up, our stay was amazing and we loved everything.

Spa treatments are a little bit expensive comparing it with others spa on the area. Avarage Komaneka's price is 400.000 IDR ($24) and street spa is 170.000 IDR ($10). Apart from this, the rest was amazing.

We loved our Pool/Villa room at this Resort. Our very private Villa was huge. Large Bathroom, gorgeous showers,which included a rain head and hand held shower. Our private pool was awesome, we also loved our outside spacious sitting area. Our bed was also very large, and very comfortable. It was our Anniversary, which we told the Resort about. All the Staff made our Anniversary very special for us. The Staff at the Resort were all very helpful and friendly. The gardens around the Resort are gorgeous, also the rice fields next to our Villa were lovely. We were told on arrival to ignore the monkeys, which we did so they were okay with us. The food at this Resort is amazing, always very tasty, we enjoyed our stay at this Resort very much. We unfortunately had to leave early when we checked out so the Staff thoughtfully made us up a yummy breakfast box to takeaway with us. The Resort is very close to lots of Restaurants and Cafes, and the Market is within walking distance up the road.

Unfortunately the Resort is surrounded by nightclubs, as most Hotels/Resorts are in Bali. Very loud pounding music at night time. Made sure we wore ear plugs at night so it was okay.

Absolutely phenomenal resort with VIP treatment. Everything was perfection, even down to the smallest details - my room was made up multiple times a day, and the staff go to great effort to make you feel special and welcomed. The staff even prepared a breakfast hamper for me when I had to get picked up at 2am for a sunrise hike! As a solo traveller, I was grateful for the friendliness and hospitality of the staff, who had plenty of great recommendations for activities, bars and places to eat. The suite (and importantly the bed) was also extremely comfortable! Also, highly recommend taking up the free yoga classes which are run at 9am every morning!

The hotel is in the heart of Ubud's Monkey Forest district, which is a very busy tourist area with many shops, restaurants and bars which are open late. The hotel has no bar as such, but there are plenty to choose from on the doorstep. Although Monkey Forest Road is very busy, once you pass reception the hotel is remarkably quiet and tranquil, with gardens, fountains and fish ponds throughout. We had a villa with our own plunge pool surrounded by well manicured gardens. The interior was very comfortable with doors onto the pool and a large, well appointed bathroom. The staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. My wife and I had massages in the spa, which was a very relaxing experience. The open-sided dining area is very pleasant and the breakfast menu had plenty of choice, even for us vegetarians. We also enjoyed the dance display and BBQ one evening

Can't think of anything that would have improved our stay.

It was a wonderful oasis in a crazy but interesting city. The surrounding area is almost carnival-like, but inthe midst of it is this delightful, quite resort. Quite magical. At dinner they had Indonesian musicians playing lovely background music. And of course there are monkeys running everywhere there.

It was all good, but whomever set up their internet worked too hard. You had to resign in many times in a relatively small area- one wifi for the lobby, another for your room, another for the resturant, another by the pool. It all worked but why make it so complicated.

Have stayed at Komaneka twice - 2018 and again this year. Both times staff service was exceptional. Perfect location in the centre of Ubud, yet still relatively quiet in the evening.

Some of the facilities are looking tired and could benefit from an upgrade. This includes the yoga mats which were quite worn looking, and which I wouldn’t use personally.

We loved the service and warmth provided by each of the staff during the whole of our stay. This is our second time back and will surely return again soon. Also loved the newly added swing facing the paddy fields and sunrise. Brilliant touch to that spot. Would Also like to thank bu Agong for patiently teaching us how to make the canang offering and to the boys playing the gamelan in the evening for teaching us a few simple tunes to play.

Can’t think of any but possibly room 217 may need to have a blind covering the window where the bath tub is as it is very open and anyone in the backyard would have visibility directly into the bathtub and bathroom area. It just lacks privacy. Other than that everything was great. Particularly love how the fruits were always ‘magically’ replenished whenever we finished them!

Amazing service, all staff has been so friendly, very clean room and great housekeeping. The hotel feels like a calm, green oasis. Close to monkey forest and within walking distance of the centre of Ubud with restaurants/bars/spa’s and Ubud palace

The room being a bit noisy. We knew we could expect this but we heard lots of sounds/noises made by monkeys and other animals in the forest (walking around at the roof of our room of at the balcony). Although this sometimes woke us up which wasn’t great, it also made our Ubud experience :)
