The dinner restaurant was quite nice. They found an external solution for a baby cot we had requested, at a low price. The bear couch near the entrance was a nice place for the baby. The bed mattress was very good for my back pain. The staff was helpful and friendly, they did their best.

Although we asked for a baby cot in advance (given the option to via booking to request) and the response was based on availability, when we got there the hotel told us they don't have any baby cots, so we had to rent one for 150k for a week externally (they arranged it for us). The view of the room was wall view, not city view.

Breakfast - good selection of rice noodles drinks. Eggs on request. Rooms and facilities all look like the photos and no complaints on that front. Location is as described a quite long 20 minute walk from Malioboro and Grab taxis were needed to get to most recommended spots in the city.

Once again the booking.com reviews were accurate - absolutely fine hotel and meets expectations but you will be woken up by call to prayer at 4.30am and the mosque was directly outside of our window. We asked to move rooms but the staff did not have any alternatives and didn’t follow up with us. As a result we checked out early but no one asked why.

Amazing service!! After staying in many of boutiques hotels in Indonesia this is easily the best place my parents have stayed. The service is truly world class and the all staff go above and beyond. We could write numerous stories of how they went above and beyond but your really need to experience for yourself. I booked for my parents who come to Jogja to celebrate his 70th birthday and he was surprised by the real hospitality from all the team who turned up to congratulate him in the most genuine way. Special thank you to Pak Beka and the entire team of Hotel Ayaarta for making my father’s birthday and stay even more special. He already planned to return soon :) Amazing value.

The room was large and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Comfy bed. The location is not far from the center, but also not in it. Still, it’s on a major street and the traffic out the door is chaos. However, they have a staff member dedicated to helping guests cross the street. Believe me, you’ll need it.

Breakfast was not typical for westerners. I have nothing against Indonesian food, but these felt more like lunch or dinner items which I found hard to eat for breakfast. However, they did have toast.

- the staff doesn’t speak a fluent English and they cannot answer to questions relative excursions or suggestions to visit the city which is a shame considering that they are very central. - even with breakfast included some drinks (like cappucino) are not included which is fine but it should be possible to charge it on the room because make your guests going back to the room to get the wallet just to have a cappuccino during the breakfast is very annoying.

We had an a good stay at Ayaartta Hotel Malioboro! The staff were friendly and always ready to assist with any concerns or questions we had. The hotel's location near Malioboro is also very convenient, allowing easy access to the heart of Yogyakarta. Overall, Ayaartta Hotel met our expectations, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

One suggestion for improvement would be the room lighting. In the evening, even with all the lights on, the room felt a bit dim. Adding a bit more lighting could enhance the overall comfort and ambiance at night. Despite this, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciate the excellent service!

Location of hotel. Easy access to Malioboro tourist spots & mall. Quick access for e-hailing n local trishaw ride. Call for prayer is a good reminder for need as i do not have to keep looking at my watch. Staff are friendly and attentive. Buffet breakfast with a taste of local is a must try. Be back again. Bathroom floor need a little scrub as its slippery for senior citizen. Amenities to standard.

My family (I didn't join this trip) had a great stay at Ayaartta Hotel in Malioboro from the time they checked in until checked out. The staff / team were attentive & helpful in many ways starting from checked in (swift & special arrangement was made to accommodate my family needs), daily room make up (without the need to remind / request), varieties of delicious foods & multi choices during breakfast & cleanliness of the facilities is top notch.

The hotel is in the centre of Yogyakarta, so everything is within reach with a 10-15 minutes taxi ride. Rooms are functional, clean. Staff are nice, although they offer limited support for anything non-hotel related (taxis, trains, etc.)

(1) With hindsight, I think a better location would be the Prawirotaman area, where the cool restaurants are. (2) not a complaint, but be aware that the staff are unable to help on anything that is not hotel related. For example, we needed to book train tickets (very cumbersome process in Indonesia), and they were not able to give any advice - not even a basic one.

The staff were very kind and friendly. The housing service (hairdrier, iron etc.) was very quick, I appreciate it.

My first room was not as clean as I'd like it to be and had no mini-fridge. But my second room felt much better. The change was made without any fuss, I was lucky that they had another room available. The manager made the room switch smooth.
